As many you are aware I got promoted to Petty Officer First Class today. When I found out I was very, very, very much surprised. No take that back, I was shocked. I still can't believe that I made first. To get promoted in the Navy as an enlisted person you have to take an exam. The exam is only taken twice a year. March and September. Last September was my first time take the the first class exam. I am very much surprised that I made first class first time taking the exam.  Right now the frocking ceremony is schedule for next week. What that means on Monday I get to wear this on my uniforms!

 

I just wanted to congradulate you again! It is quite an honor to get promoted the first time you take the test! I also wanted to thank you for your service to our country! It gives me a warm feeling knowing people like you are out there!

Thanks, Kyra_Ashleigh. I am still very excited about making first. I have lots of uniforms to update, but I don't care right now. At this time I am getting 3 set of uniforms to ready for next week.

Geez...Sorry to hear that you're going through so much pain. I only have back problems after work but I think I bring that on myself by lifting inproperly.

However, congratulations on your promotion! I thought of you the other day which is why I decided to read your most recent logs. I don't think of much people from message boards outside of online time, but you happen to pop up in my head. Dunno why, exactly. Well, I'll try not to be such a stranger to these boards like I have been recently.

Geez...Sorry to hear that you're going through so much pain.  I only have back problems after work but I think I bring that on myself by lifting inproperly.

Thanks! :huh: My hip and feet are slowly getting better. If I didn't trip over that crub two weeks ago I won't have to deal with the pain. Right now its down again to a dull ach. I still have to be careful in what I do. The one thing I can't do right now is run. I used to run 2 to 3 miles a day. Now that I can't its driving me crazy. :P I hope it will be complete healed by the end of the year if not sooner.

Today I placed 3 uniforms to the taylar's. They where my dress blues, ulilities, and coveralls. I will pick them up tomorrow. I can't wait. :lol:

He was serving on a diesel sub, the "Baya" I think, and his shipmates tossed him overboard! I know because I saw the photo. Noooo..... They would never do that do me! Actually they won't. Yokosuka Harbor is... well I would have to go to medical if they did that. The water in the habor is not the cleanest in the world. :lol:

That would be very hard to do right now, because I am at shore duty. There will be frocking ceremony on Monday. There is so much to do so little time. :lol:

My uniform is already for the frocking on Monday. I really can't wait. Monday will be a very big day at the Odie's Place. The taylor who updated my uniform was impressed that I made E-6 with one service ribbon. There wasn't much I could really say to him, but he was very happy and proud.

Another wonderful quit weekend! My hip feels almost 100%. There is just a slight pull, but no big deal. :angry: I have finished my 2nd banner. I am still not sure which one I will use.

I am now frocked first class. Now I have to update all my uniforms. I still really odd to be called QM1.

There is really not much new going in life right now. The frocking ceremony went well. There where pictures taken on that day. Someday in the "distant" future I may get the picture. I might get it in a week or two. Since I got my promotion I think I should update my personal banner.

The turkey had to go. He tasted very good. :unsure: This Sunday coming up will be the first day of Advent. Every Sunday there will candle light on my Avatar until the last Sunday before Christmas. There is really nothing going on in my life. Astro for once didn't cause to much trouble for me.

Today is another beautiful day in Japan. I only need is to wear a light jacket today. I am still at work and I can't wait until I am off and on my way home to Astro. I hope he didn't cause to much trouble for me.

Today is Monday after long weekend so I get to stay at work later than normal. It a little cold this morning, but cold enough to bother my hip. I am slowly excepting that my hip will hurt when it gets cold and there little if anything I can do about it right now. I am just glad that I am moving to San Diego in March.

Today is a beautiful day. :cool1: I got pay today and it went up. Thank God it did. I am very tried of the dollar being weak compared to the Yen.

I am home! At nights the weather is getting colder and colder. Nothing reallly to complain about, expect it doesn't agree with my hip that much.

I really have some goods about my hip problem. For the last 2 day hip has not bother me one bit. B) B) B) B) B) *Knocks on wood* My therapist is happy with the news. My feet are slowly adjusting to its new position. I am now walking heel to toe with my right foot without the orthotics. I still have to wear them for couple more months.

One of the UPS drivers at work has recommended that I go to a chiropractor to see if that helps with mine. I'm skeptical, but I might give it a try after Christmas.

Today is my command's Christmas Party. Oh what fun!

I am having fun today. There is a slight typhoon problem, which means I have to be on base. Right now its raining with no wind. I am having way to much fun. Oh yeah, this typhoon is near Twian.

Slight typhoon problem? At first I thought "is there such a thing?", but having lived in San Antonio, Texas, I learned it is possible - if you're far enough away from it.

The typhoon was not close to mainland Japan. It was just heavy rain storm. There was no reason to bring the whole base in the highest level of alertness of a storm. Here is a map to give a better understanding.
