I've talked to my close friend and he is doing much better today. I am glad he sound much better than he did when I first found out about the apendix. :biggrin:

The weather has improved since yesturday. There is still an overcast. At least wind isn't as bad as yesturday.

I have a migraine. :blink: So far nothing I do for it helps. Well it doesn't help that there is still is typhoon near Japan. I am hoping that I can keep my small meal down.

When there is typhoon near Japan I might get a migraine. Sometimes they can be very bad. :angry:

I am depressed. Buffalo lost yet again. 0-4. There offense sucks big time. Maybe they might win next week. I hope so. On a brighter note, Patriots did beat the Dolphins. :angry:

Correction. On its a third day in row. I throught I set a record yesturday.

Its the Barometric Pressure. Its down for the area because of the thyphoon and that is reason for the migraine.

 

Those two watches better have hot chocolate brew in that kettle. :)

 

@WAB I wish I could be that talented, but I got from Google. It was royale pain in the a..... to get it to fit for stf.

I had another long day on the tug.

 

The worst of the typhoon is over. The base had minor damage to it. Most of the damage came from smaller trees that got up rooted. Thank God none of the large trees had fallen. I won't want to image to damage if one of the larger trees had fallen on housing quarters.

Yea but Odie. Did trying to make it fit distort the image? If it did, that maybe added to it, I think. It looks like it was sort of stretched vertically, was it? How do you make an image fit anyway? I've never done that. Can you post step by step how you do it?

 

By the way. I've been on many tugs. When I was little. My Dad took me. He had a ship. I always loved the feeling on a tug. Sort of cozy But I guess if you have to WORK on a tug it's different.

Jeanway, I would actually have to know the program that you will use. Each program is different, and I am really not an expert. I am just learning myself. The picture wasn't stretched vertically.

May day at work is almost done! :( One more hour to go and almost done with my watch. :)

I love when my only day off during the week and I have to run around Yokosuka find why there some small problem with the electricity at my house. The problem is solved it. It was no big deal. :(

 

Over the weekend my cell phone got some water damage. I took it in to get it repair. The temp. phone they gave me is fine, but there is no e-mail. I never realised how much I used my cell phone for e-mail. :) I can't wait to I get my cell phone back to answer my e-mail. I hope its not a lot. :P

I had a wonderful day at work. The only thing I had to do was shop for the mess on the tug. I went in the grocery store and I thought I would be in and out. Noooo, they changed the whole lay of the store. I just when I thought I was used to the the old layout.

Today is peaceful Saturday morning. No typhoon to worry about, yet. Astro is not causing to much trouble for me. Yesterday I started new group in Yahoo for the association that I belong to at work. I hope the members will join it, because once everyone leaves Yokosuka it will be hard to keep in touch with everyone else.

Today was a beautiful day. I got my cell phone back. While not the one that got water damage from the last typhoon. Its a new one. It didn't cost as much than I thought it would be. I got a discount around $10.00. So the phone cost around $40 not over $50. The only thing that I have to reprogram my speed dial on the phone. :(

 

I went to the movies today and saw Exorcist: The Beginning. A very interesting movie. It got my attention.

1 nautical mile is 1.50 is statute miles. The typhoon is about less than 189 miles away from Yokosuka, Japan.

Statute miles? Is that like regular miles? (My calculator said that with 1 nautical mile being 1.50 is statute miles, the typhoon would be 238.5 statute miles away.) Or is the typhoon closer?

 

I'm not trying to be presumptious, I'm just curious.

I don't think your presumptious. Statute miles is a regular mile. I was off it is 183. I use program that converts it Conversion For Nautical And Statute Miles

 

It doesn't look like the typhoon hit land fall in near Yokosuka, but it is still too early to tell.
