My doctor appointment went well enough. I like my new primary care provider. She is a nice person. There is bad news. I might have a hip fracture. I was told to continue want I am doing for my hip. If it still hurts me by next week I should make another appointment. She said will take x-rays for that appointment. I hate Naval medicine.

Easy on that hip Odie. I hope you get to feeling better, and I hope they gave you a medical excuse not to do those long standing duties for now. Do you have any idea how you might have fractured your hip? I mean I can think of a couple but none of which we can discuss in this log. Just kidding. Really though take care. And good luck with those spiders.

Thanks, Airies. I am on limited duty for the next week. Which means no running, jumping, or jogging. If I am not on a job I am not standing much. To tell you the truth I really don't know how I hurt my hip.

I though about that to, but I have to rule that one out. I am not looking forward when I tell him about my visited to my doctor. He will try to blame himself.

I have really good news. I had talk with tugmaster and I was told that won't do any of the jobs until my hips is healed. :) :P Everytime I did a job it just increase the pain. I am so glad I don't have do them for the time being. I still have to do my watches, but doesn't bother me as much.

Congrats Odie. :P Now take it easy and follow the Doctors advice. If I'm any judge of character I'd say you might be a little stubborn when it comes to resting. I could be wrong but take it easy anyway. :doctor:

Unlike the civilian world I can't take time off when I am sick. I have to get a recommandation from the doctor. When I had my visit I didn't get one so that meant I was fit for full duty. I am on limited duty, which means that I can't run, jog, or do after working hour sports. I still have to go to work, but I don't have to do the jobs. I might not be on the tugs for long if my hip still bothers me.

That's what I meant, no running or jogging. Follow the doctors orders. I just know when my wife is told to take it easy she blows it off and then gets worse. I hope you heal quickly and are ship shape soon! :P

I really have no choice. It just hurts to much. If I don't follow the advise of the doctor I could get in serious trouble. It not worth losing rank if I disobey the doctor's order. :P

Phew. :P I'm glad you said that. You see I have this anxiety problem and I'm always worried about offending people. My wife tells me I need to stop worrying about it but I've been like that since I was little. I get it from my Mom, I am just like her. That's ok though cause she's a wonderful person!

Its not really lame. Its only lame when I get paid. My pay is electrical deposit in my checking account. I get paid at mid-night Eastern Standard Time. That means its 1300 (1:00 pm) Japan Standard Time. Now that can be confessing.

I have found out this morning that I will have orders to the USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53) station in San Diego. :) I won't have the official orders until next week. For those who don't know John Paul Jones was the founding father of the United States Navy. Here is what the ship looks like. :P

I am enjoying my only day off from work. So far my hip is slightly bothers me today. The only reason fo that is that I only walk my dog this morning. I am still very excited about the orders to San Diego. I can't wait to get the official set so I start the process of putting my package together and move to San Diego. Its just 5 months away. I have a lot to do in a short time.

RK, you are still young. You don't know what will happen when you leave high school. Moving a part of my job. I have been in military for 7 years and this will be my 3rd move. Its not easy to move all the time.

I just got back from the store. I had to go birthday shopping for a friend of mine. I though at that time my hip was just sore it won't really bother me. Oh boy, I was proven wrong big time.

I am having a very boring duty day. It is raining very hard outside. I can't wait for tomorrow to mail package out to my friend in DC.

Sorry to hear about your hip trouble. I can sympathize with you, with all my Worker's Comp mess. Hope it starts feeling better soon.

 

(Any chance you could send some of that rain here to Southern California? We could really use it. )
