Sorry to hear about your hip trouble. I can sympathize with you, with all my Worker's Comp mess. Hope it starts feeling  better soon.

I love San Diego! My husband & I drove down there for a day a couple of times to "see the sights" and have dinner in one of the Irish pubs near downtown. It's a beautiful city. The shopping mall is incredible!

I really can't wait until I am in San Diego. I was there during the summer and it blow my mind away. It is so different from Buffalo, New York. Don't get me wrong. I love Buffalo, but San Diego is more exciting. I have never seen an open mall that is in downtown San Diego. It wouldn't be possible in Buffalo, because of the weather.

I've got my official orders today. I will detact from from current station in March and report no later than 04APR05. I have a lot of work to do before I can leave for San Diego.

Thank, Alterego. The cold weather that San Diego gets is nothing compared to Buffalo. Unless SD gets over 3 feet of snow within a 24 hours and temps below 20 degrees it won't feel cold to me.

That's one of the great things, if you need to see some snow it's a very short trip to it. The crowds are maddening though, most of the mountain roads are only two lane highways; usually congested for miles but everyone is good natured about it.

For a third straight day in the row it has rain. Not just a little rain. No, a down pour. Its not helping with my hip problem. Tomorrow I have another doctor's appointment. Hopefully the doctor will take x-rays for the hip.

Okay, enough with the rain all ready! I just got home and pants and sneakers are completely wet. I hate strong down pours. I was wet within seconds. Well maybe minutes.

Congratulations on your new posting - hope all goes well with the transfer. I visited Southern California once and it does have a certain appeal. (Is Sea World in San Diego?) I spent a bit of time in the Fresno area but not very much in Southern California.

Thanks, UH. Sea World is in San Diego. I can't for next year. I will leave this command March 1st and I don't have to report until April 4th. When I am in my next command I will be very busy. I am so much looking forward going back sea.

Hip Update: The doctor finial got x-rays for the hip. She recommend physical therapy. It still hurts. I don't know what the therapist will do since this will be my third time.

Thanks RC and BakulaBabe! I was told by my doctor to call physical therapy tomorrow schedule an apointment. It must have a very slow day for them. As soon as I got back from the tug I had a message that I should call them ASAP and then they called my cell phone and left a voice mail. My first appointment won't be into Nov 1st. The therapist that I am seeing is very popular on base and actually knows what he is doing for a Navy doctor.

I hope I don't have an OP. I never had an operation. Never spent more than 10 hours in a hospital emerancy room. The thought of it now is not what I want right now.

With my hip layed up I have lots of energy that can't be spent. I can't run and walk far with Astro. I need something to get raid of the energy.

I had a long day today. I came home very late. Yesterday there was an earthquake. It little strong than the last one and lasted about 20 to 30 seconds. I think if I wasn't up for it might have slept through it.

I have a long morning. Too many jobs in the rain. I can't wait for the fleet to leave again or March comes by faster than what is.

I've just found out that the closest person to me just had appenix operation. He said that he is fine and I should not worry. I wish I wasn't in Japan right now. I feel very helpless. I wish he could understand how much I was worried about him! It took all evening to get a hold of him.

He says he is alright and I believe him. I just wish I was with him right now and not in Japan. I hate being apart when something like this happens to someone that I love. :biggrin:
