I think we should all agree not to write "dialog" for other "living" interactive characters..that I agree with. And we should all agree to read and get a feel for what's going on before we add to the story/make changes...and we should agree not to just pop into a story-line without "working into it" or "explaining" how we got there! We could sure use a doctor on Bora Bora....but how he got there from Jeanway's group still unknown....and the fight with the French is on land, at this point. I think there's plenty of room here for all of us, if people want to write words and actions of characters..then lets stick to "dummy" characters like simrod and others that don't have a "manager"!

That's a great suggestion!!! :(

I aggree with you wholeheartedly...

Let's get back to this thing.....

Later on the shore, WEAREBORg was gathering food for emergency supplies. the French were going to come back. Head Borg was shot in the Back. There was some bleeding bu the injury was not major. Soon, he thought, soon.... Simrod had gone to get some firewood...

Actually, we did indeed elect a "GM" so to speak - an outside person who is fairly neutral about the whole game and steps in occassionally to alter outcomes, much like Hari Seldon's Foundation in the famous series of books by Asimov. Read carefully, and you might figure out who the "GM" is.

Also, it's not really an RPG per se. Really, we are all sort of using collective creativity of the group to write a story. It's just in the RPG forum.

Thanks for reading! We appreciate the "fan base."

If you don't want to participate in the game then no ones forcing anyone, please don't just pop in to make a post griping about this or that and then pop out. That's more than a little rude.

This post is directed to no one in particular, most of us playing are enjoying ourselves, or we were. :waaaa:

With little wind the Elusive makes it's way Southeast across the Indian Ocean. The snails pace of the ship does little to help the spirit of the crew, meloncholy after the loss of the Pax. Standing at the bow of the ship Fenriz stares off into the horizon, occasionally he imagines the familiar sight if the Pax sailing slightly ahead of the Elusive. He had grown accustomed to the Pax and it's crew, Hannibal, the Centurion, the ever silent nik. Happy they have been released from their curse Fenriz finds he misses them more than he would have thought. Shaking his head in an attempt to banish such idle thoughts Fenriz turns to walk to the length of the ship. Uncertain of what exactly awaits in BoraBora he prays silently for a strong wind and a safe harbor at the end of the journey, but decides at the moment he'd settle for wind.

~ The Change ~

As night fell, a full 24 hours had passed since Jeanway and Fenriz watched The Pax dissapear under the surface of the Indian Ocean off the Southern coast of Madagascar. The Enterprize long since departed their company, and sailed South with the Abassador and all her crew. Madagascar well out of sight, the Elusive heads due East South East toward Borabora. Jeanway and Fenriz, in total agreement about seeing HeadBorg for the last time. Unaware that he had been healed, or that Weareborg was there with him.

Many foreign ships could be sighted from the Elusive as they sailed. Some merchant ships, others, some French surettes, groups of ships travelling together headed for battle on one or more of the French occupied islands now in possesion of France, as they held many in this region.

Jeanway had never sailed these waters before and was frequently referring to her maps, computing her course with the aid of Lieutenant Riker, who was adept at navigtion.

" Ship off the starboard stern" a man yells from the crow's nest. As he held the telescope in one hand and pointed with the other. Jeanway and Fenriz headed aft to see who it was and why the were so close. Not aware of the Batavia's presence in this part of the world. Seska and Jeanway had not discussed her arrival on the night of their finding the treasure. No one thought that she must have arrived by ship, that concern pushed aside with all that had transpired since. Seska, suddenly appeared on deck. " It's IlikeSeven" she cried, with tears in her eyes. " My love has come for me" she said to Jeanway and Fenriz as they all stood on the stern and watched as the Batavia approached. IlikeSeven standing on it's bow, just above the figurehead, waved and smiled at Seska, blowing kisses in the wind for her. She did the same. The Batavia pulled up along side, lines were thrown between the two ships secured to the Elusive. The mood was surprisingly pleasant. The anger IlikeSeven had felt had dissapeared, he only wanted to be with his love, Seska.

Gangplank down, ILikeSeven walked quickly, traversed it and fell into a long embrace and a kiss with Seska. He said to her " I thought I had lost you forever, my darling" She replied " Never my darling, I would have found you" They hugged again . " I must speak to Jeanway" he said. " Where is she?" He asked Seska. " I'm here" Jeanway said as she approached the happily reunited couple" IlikeSeven began to speak. " I found myself involved in all this with greed in my heart. But for some unknown reason, my anger has gone away from me. I tried to understand what happened on the mountain, I thought Seska had double-crossed me and only used me to get to the treasure. But now I see she really did care for me and I am so happy that we are reunited. The thought of riches had filled me, but the riches I sought were only those I see in the eyes of my love." Taken aback by this sudden show of gentleness and genuine love, Jeanway saw Ilikeseven through different eyes. She no longer looked apon him as a scoundrel and a pirate. "Come to my cabin, both of you, we have something to discuss. They all went below to Jeanway's cabin.

They all sat around the large, wooden table in Jeanway's quarters. Jeanway, Fenriz, Seska and ILikeSeven. Worf as usual, stands in the corner digging whatever he can find out of his nose and examining it on the tip of his index finger.

Jeanway began. " I have a proposition for the both of you" she began. " I find myself on a TREK across unfamiliar waters. I am in search of an island named Borabora. I know it to be in the waters of French Polynesia. I have no quarrel with the French, but a ship alone does not work in one's favour. Would you be willing to act as as surety for my voyage, Ilikeseven? I will reward you handsomley" As she emptied a small leather pouch of large, white diamonds onto the table in front of ILikeSeven and Seska. Their eyes bulged as they stared down at the pile of large stones. ILike Seven looked up at her and said " Are these diamonds Captain?" She answered " To the best of my knowledge, yes they are, a large fortune sits here in front of you, divide it as you wish. But I must have your assurance that whatever happens, I can depend on you both." ILikeSeven turned to Seska, both their mouths hanging open  . " Maam" ILikeSeven began. " I've never seen the likes of these stones in me life before. I never imagined I ever would. You see I'm just a lowly sort and make me livin at robbin and stealin. But this could change all that for me. Yes, I am willin to escort you and protect and serve you. "Seksa" He said as he turned to face her. " You with me on this?" He asked " Most assuredly, my love, I will follow you to the ends of the earth if need be." ILikeSeven, stood and shook Jeanway's hand, " It's a deal" He said to her.

~ MONKEY ISLAND ~

Warm trade winds at their back, the Elusive and the Batavia, at full sail, head South Southeast. Cautiously the crew of both ships survey the horizon, preparing for anything. Well into this leg of their voyage, they sail side by side, the days pass. All becoming increasingly weary of the constant need to be on guard. Around the mid-day of their 4th day, they pass very close to a small, uninhabited island, seen from a distance, appearing to have a pink, sand beach. Many palm trees, some uprooted and draped over the beach touching the shoreline with the foliage laden tops. Jeanway and Seska had been talking about possibly having a little time alone with their men, on the evenings the four of them took evening repast together. Jeanway and Fenriz, standing at the rail, both looked at the island, then at each other. " What do you think?" she said. " Looks good." Fenriz replied. They quickly scanned the deck with their eyes and then back towards each other. " Let's go" He said. Fenriz walked to far end of the rail and opened the gate. Jeanway right behind him. She began to unbutton her shirt, as Fenriz did the same. Peeling it off, leaving only her white lace camisole. He only his bare chest, with a pin at the end of a long, gold chain hanging from around his neck to his mid-chest. Jeanway looked, took it between her fingers and said " My hair, your wearing it as a medallion instead of a lapel-pin?" she asked " I didn't want to lose it" He replied. They continued, he sat on a bulkhead, leaned over and began to unlace his boots, then pulling them off. She unbuttoned her heavy, wool pants and slid them down to the deck and stepped out of them, leaving her ankle length pantaloons, which she pulled up tightly over her knees. She then pulled up the sides of her long hair and secured them with the Ivory hair combs he had given her. " Come here" she said to him. " turn around" He turned. She gathered up his long hair into a tail then wrapped it tightly with a long piece of leather. Criss-crossing it to the ends then securing it with a tight, square knot. She gave him a pat on his shoulder and said " Done, now let's go" Jeanway walked to the gate and dove into the water her two hands over her head, her palms together. Fenriz stood for a moment, looked down into the crystal, clear blue water, bent down and reached to feel it's temperature. " It's really warm, isn't it" He yelled to Jeanway, who was treading water waiting for him to join her. He dove in. Together they began to swim, with long strokes toward the pink beach. Occasionally diving beneath the surface and tickling each other. Laughing and talking they finally reached the shore.

Crunching under their bare feet, were thousands of dead shrimp shells, which was now obvisouly why the beach seemed pink, from the ship. " Look at this" Jeanway said as she walked up to the edge of the jungle. " Coconuts" she said. They both stood there and looked up at the palms that lined the beach. "Oh, what's this" He said. As he walked over to some greenery and plucked out a pineapple and some smaller, unfamiliar fruits. " Give them a try?" He asked " I'd be delighted kind Sir" she curtsied, then they both sat on a fallen palm's trunk which laid across the beach to the water. They began to pull the fruit apart with their hands and stuff it in each other's mouths, laughing and spitting it at each other. Their obvious joviality and loud laughter had alerted some of the unknown inhabitants of the island come to investigate. " What was that" Jeanway said as she snapped her head around to look behind them. Fenriz looked. " My Lord" He said. For there were at least 50 giant, hairy monkeys coming at them in an obvious fury, screeching and screaming at them. " RUN " He said as he grabbed her hand, cupping the uneaten fruit in the crook of his other arm. They began to run down the beach, sand flying up from their feet all around them. From what seemed an impossible distance, one of the large apes suddenly had jumped and was perched on Fenriz's back, beating on him. He stopped running and starting hitting him over his head. Spinning around in circles trying to get him off. Jeanway ran up behind him and grabbed it, with two hands and pulled as hard as she could. The monkey flew into the air and knocked down some of it's companions when it landed in the sand. Fenriz and Jeanway quickly gathered up the dropped fruit and began to run again towards a large, black boulder at the end of the beach. Again, Fenriz was tackeled by the apes, this time around the feet and on top of him as they jumped towards his head. He managed to club a couple with a large stick that was lying in the sand and bonked the other two with the coconut he still had in his hand. Finally, he was free of them all. Just at that moment he heard a blood curdeling scream from behind the boulder Jeanway had just dissapeared behind. He ran, " I'm here" he yelled to her just before to got to it. He ran around it and stopped suddenly. Jeanway was on the ground, on top of her was the biggest ape of the whole bunch. She was pinned. He was grunting and making obviously romantic noises as he wrestled with Jeanway, " HELP ME!" she screamed as she spotted Fenriz coming around the huge rock. He stood there for a second, not knowing what to do. Then he raised his hand and threw a coconut directly at the big apes head. BONK! Then down he went, rolling onto the wet sand. Jeanway jumped up and ran for the water. Momentarily the ape was out cold, but awoke and immeditely went for Fenriz, as Jeanway was swimming franticly to get away from him. Fenriz and the ape wrestled and rolled around in the sand, for a few minutes. Just when Fenriz, thought for sure he was a dead man, he hauled back his fist as the ape was coming at him, punched him square in the face, knocking him backwards the ape fell and smashed his skull on the boulder, killing it. Fenriz, still agitated went over and kicked the animal in it's side then ran like h*ll for the water. They swam furiously toward the Elusive not stopping, and once they reached it they were helped back onto the deck by the crew, as they had been watching the whole time.

As the crew of the Elusive went about it's duty the ship made it's way steadily across the Indian Ocean. Standing at the balustrade Fenriz wondered if the crew of the Batavia, sailing along side the Elusive were growing as weary as the crew of the Elusive. With little to do but go about their routine and keep a constant lookout for poor weather or pirates the men had become increasingly weary and short tempered. More than once Worf had to break up a fight among the crew and Fenriz noted that even the Klingon was doing this with a little less zeal as the days rolled into on another. Fenriz had had even let slip the war of pranks that he and Worf had been waging quietly on board the Elusive and since his boots hadn't been nailed to the deck recently Fenriz supposed the Klingon had as well. Fenriz found himself almost longing for a brief squall break the monotony on board when almost in answer to his thoughts the sailor on watch in the crow's nest called out excitedly " LAND!" Dropping anchor off shore the two ships floated peacefully in the gentle waves and after a brief conversation Fenriz and Jeanway decide to swim to the island. Stripping off her shirt and heavy wool pants Jeanway stands on the deck in her camisole and pantaloons, which she pulls up to her knees. Fenriz takes off his shirt and begins unlacing his boots while Jeanway watches him. Pulling off his boots and sitting them beside the rest of his clothes on the deck Fenriz stands up and Jeanway motions for Fenriz to turn around, she then begins to tie his long hair into a loose braid. " There" she declares and Fenriz turns back around to face her and then walks to the gate in the ballistrade and with a small flourish he extends his arm out in the direction of the island and offers " After you my Lady." Jeanway smiles at him as she walks to the end of the edge of the deck and dives gracefully into the water. On his knees at the opening in the ballistrade Fenriz stretches and reaches down to test the water " It's really warm, isn't it? " Smiling at him in the crystal blue water Jeanway waits. Standing up Fenriz looks down into the water, schools of brightly colored fish float suspended in the water with the sun casting their shadows on the white bottom can clearly be seen from the deck. Noticing how clear the water is here and warmer than the water in the Caribbean to which he'd become accustomed to Fenriz then makes a great show of preparing to dive into the water. Laughing Jeanway turns and starts to head for the island. Standing up and then moving to jump into the water Fenriz is caught by surprise when a large boot kicks him on his backside and he falls headfirst into the water. Coming to the surface sputtering Fenriz looks up to the deck to see the Klingon looking down at him, almost smiling. Shaking his fist at Worf, mostly in jest, Fenriz turns and swims after Jeanway.

Nearing the island, the water is now only to their waists and Jeanway and Fenriz wade ashore. Reaching the beach they see that it is covered with the shells of thousands of shrimp giving it it's pink color. Walking up the beach towards the jungle together Jeanway finds a coconut on the ground and they both look up at the trees lining the edge of the beach. Finding a pinapple and a few unfamiliar fruits in the unfamiliar plants growing on this island Fenriz gathers them they both walk over to a palm tree that has fallen across the beach. Sitting down on it's trunk they begin to eat the pineapple, feeding it to one another and laughing, it's juice running down their chins. Looking at the two ships anchored off shore Fenriz can see that the crew of the vessels have taken the opportunity to cool off by swimming in the calm water, leaping off the decks of the ships. Worf standing at the ballistrade can clearly been seen throwing naked powder monkeys into the water, screaming in delight as he launches them into the air and coming down with a splash into the water. Smiling at the stern Klingons soft heart Fenriz turns turns his head back towards Jeanway who is lifting a piece of fruit to his mouth, when suddenly she turns her head sharply when noise begins to come from the jungle, growing louder as something nears the beach. Standing up they see a large group of very angry monkeys emerge from the jungle and come barreling towards them, screeching in fury. Jeanway and Fenriz begin running for the water with the monkeys gaining on them, howling at the intruders to their island. Holding Jeanway's hand and the fruit in his other arm Fenriz looks over his shoulder and sees some of the monkeys stop where the two of them had been sitting on the fallen tree and begin picking through half eaten fruit while the rest continue their pursuit. With most of the creatures loosing interest and turning back to the jungle a large monkey jumps on the back of one of it's companions and launches itself at Fenriz, landing on his back. Almost knocked down by the sudden impact Fenriz begins smashing the ape in the face with a pineapple until the monkey bit into the fruit and pulled it out of Fenriz's hand. Jeanway running back to the pair grabbed the monkey with both hands and sent it flying into a pair of it's companions who were watching the fight. Gathering up the dropped fruit Jeanway points to a large boulder near the edge of the beach, running for it Fenriz is tackled by several of the monkeys who had finished with the discarded fruit they had been picking through. Flinging the fruit at them a few of the apes lost interest in Fenriz and began picking up the fruit but several large monkeys kept clawing at him. Kicking one square in it's face Fenriz reached for a piece of driftwood and began to wield it as a club, after getting smashed over the head a few times most of the monkeys retreated into the jungle except for one that was busy picking it's nose. Bringing his makeshift club down on the ape's head and sending it howling into the trees, launching a few coconuts at the stupid creature Fenriz stops still gripping his last coconut when he suddenly hears Jeanway scream from behind the boulder. Running as fast as he can he rounds the boulder and see's Jeanway pinned by a large monkey " HELP ME! " she screams. Overcome with rage Fenriz launches his coconut and it smashes the ape in it's head sending it rolling of Jeanway. Fenriz pulls Jeanway to her feet and she runs for the water while he turns to face the monkey recovering from the coconut. Looking over his shoulder Fenriz sees Jeanway enter the water when he's knocked over by the ape which lands on top of him, throwing back it's head and howling Fenriz reaches for the coconut he launched earlier, stretching he grabs it and smashes it into the side of the gloating ape's head. Pushing the stunned creature off of him Fenriz stands up and faces the monkey which bares it's teeth at him. Finding the ape between him and the water, the monkey suddenly screams and launches itself at Fenriz. Lost in rage Fenriz catches it squarely in the face with his fist and the monkey falls back it's head smashing against the boulder. Dropping lifeless to the ground Fenriz walks over to the ape's body and kicks it, rubbing his sore hand he walks to the water and wades out to where Jeanway waits. Looking out to the Elusive Fenriz sees the crew standing on deck where they had been watching the events on shore. Swimming beside each other the pair reach the Elusive and are helped out of the water by the crew. As he puts his clothes on Fenriz looks to Worf and asks " I suppose you would have came to our aid if you were really needed." Handing Fenriz his boots Worf replies " Of course. " Worf's eyes go to a musket which is leaning against the ballistrade and Fenriz pats him on his massive shoulder. "I knew you would my friend, " says Fenriz then he looks the Klingon dead in the eye, " Now tell me, why are my boots wet?

So relieved and happy they were both back on the Elusive and not hurt. Jeanway and Fenriz both retired to their own cabins for the night after sharing a meal with Seska and ILike7. They told their little adventure to them, and now were laughing about it.

Next morning, just after day-break, the sails were up and both ships headed on the final leg of their journey to Borabora. Lieutenant Riker assured Jeanway they would arrive with-in the next two days.

The French coward put his blood stained hands on the solid oak table. Taking away the Frenchman's weapons, WEAREBORG used his powers to carefully pressure his mind to aswer questions. WEAREBORG began with simple questions such as "what is your name?" "What is your father's name?" "What is your mother's name?" Eh would not tell anything.... WEAREBORG than ordered the bosun to throw him in the brig with no food or water for 2 days.... also no sleep. After the two days, after being awake for over 50 hours, the french man spilled all the movements of the French and what happened to Simrod. It was too gruesome to tell. He also told us that the French had set up their main base on an island and that hundreds more would be coming in a few days...

The island was monkey island...

~ The Surette ~

Off on the Western horizon, from the crow's nest a man sights what appears to be a small fleet of ships, probably French, but can't be certain as they are too far away. They seem to be stopping at the island Jeanway and Fenriz just had their monkey encounter with. Small boats can been seen leaving the ships and rowing, filled with men, to the pink shore. Jeanway watches from the stern of the Elusive. Knowing she must get out of sight from the possible sighting by them of her ship and the Batavia which is sailing alongside her starboard side. Unaware she will encounter these ships again in the near future.

Another day at full tilt, the two ships have finally come into sight of Borabora. Lieutenant Riker, Fenriz, Jeanway and Worf all sit at her table in her cabin. " Gentlemen" she begins. " I have a personal matter which needs my immediate attention on this island. I know nothing of what I will find here. I am asking your advice now as to how I shall procede " They all looked at one another, puzzeled looks on their faces. " What is it that you are asking, maam?" Riker asked. Fenriz, being aware of the situation, interjected " I think what the Captain is asking is,um." He looks at Jeanway, not knowing what to say. " I have a friend, who is dying here on Borabora. He has asked me to come and see him before his time runs out. What I need to know is, should I go alone or should I go with protection since I don't know who else will be there with him?" Immediately Worf responded. " My job is to protect you Maam, I should escort you" Jeanway said " Yes, your right, I shouldn't go alone. Fenriz also spoke " If he goes, why can't I go too?" Jeanway looked at Fenriz and said " This is why I am troubled about who should go, my dear. You know the situation and I feel it may be a bit awkward for you." Fenriz, seeing that Jeanway is concerned about how this will affect him sits silently, a distressed look on his face.

SolarWind senses the trouble that is coming. They must choose to do the right thing. Much turmoil aboard the Elusive, storms of the soul.

Attempting to find some food, WEAREBORG saw tracks leading to the opposite side of the island to the orange sun-tinged shore. Waves slapped against the sand. Bare tracks. No shoes.... The tracks stopped 5 feet from the water at high tide..... Something or someone was a work here..... Whoever or whatever it was, was evil. He returned to headborg's hut to get a telescope...

~ Des pommes frites ~

As the Elusive circled the island in search of the Bonaventure, much activity could be seen from it's deck on the island. Groups of what appeared to be French soldiers were observed. Never firing on the Elusive but quite involved in what appeared to be some sort of malay. Not certain if the Elusive should stay away or find a place where there was no such activity to anchor. Finding the Bonaventure was Jeanway's top priority, as where the ship was anchored her Captain would surely be close by. Rounding the SouthEast side of the island, there she was.

" Lighten the sails" Riker called to the crew, as the approached the Bonaventure's stern, The Batavia pulled up along side the Elusive to act as a buffer between the two ships. " Let me board her first, Captain, to make sure all is safe" Ilikeseven yelled to her as he passed her. She saluted and nodded affirmatively, saying to Fenriz " Well, that's what we're paying him for." ILikeSeven could be seen from the deck of the Elusive by Jeanway, across the Batavia's deck. He was very engaged in conversation with a young fellow, shorter than IlikeSeven. He was obviously telling him something of importance as he pointed toward the island. Jeanway followed his pointed finger to try to see what he was telling him. That's when she saw the hut, up on the beach, surrounded by palms. She knew then that's where Headborg was. The young man, catching sight of Jeanway across the deck of the Batavia, began to wave at her. At first she didn't reconize him, but as he loped across the deck of the Batavia, she instantly knew, it was Weareborg, former Captain of the 'Eevil Eye'. " Well, well, well, look who's here, she said to him as he climbed over the railing onto the Elusive. He ran up to her and tried to hug her. The crew and Worf rushed towards him pistols drawn. " No, no, leave him, don't you recognize him?" Jeanway knew she was in no danger since Solarwind had taken him, he would be a changed man, and so he was. His formely, hard , cruel grimacing face was now smiling and welcoming. " What are you doing here" They both said to each other at the exact same time. They both laughed. WeareBorg went on to explain to Jeanway about his time with SolarWind and how she taught him the benefits of only using his powers for good. He also told her that he was put here to help HeadBorg and assist him in anyway he could.

" So, where is he?" Jeanway asked young WeareBorg. " He's fighting, in the jungle" he said with a scratchy voice. "With who? " she asked. "The French" He answered. Jeanway felt a chill go through her body, remembering the 'surrette' she had seen just two days before landing on Monkey Island. " They're here." She said " I know that, that's who he is fighting right now, on the otherside of the island." Jeanway answered. " No, there are more coming, we just saw them land, two days ago" " AW CHRIST! " WeareBorg said loudly. " We've already got enough here already, now there are MORE on their way, we have to go find HeadBorg and tell him." Jeanway answered " Well go then, what are you waiting for?. "You wait here" WeareBorg yelled to her as he leaped across the two decks and back onto the Bonaventure, boarded a small longboat with four crewmen who started rowing furiously toward shore. Jeanway folded her arms across her chest and leaned up against a mast, " I'll wait here then." She said to herself.
