  1. 'The Forgotten'-for the same reasons as always.

The M-O-S-T emotionally gripping episode of the season with Conner Trinneer's best performance next to 'Similitude'.

And the point of no return for Degra and the rest of the crew. you still got the feeling like the ship was falling apart, but like things were still doing their best to look up. Also a crutial moment between T'pol and Trip with their conversation at the end. I'll have to see it again, but I loved it first time around.

  2. Since I figure that eventually a poll will get started by VBG on the best episode of season 3, why not get an early look at what should be ahead in the running. Here's my overall top five for this year.

1.)'The Forgotten'-Conner Trinner's best performance of the year, along with a pivotal moment for Archer and Degra in coming to trust each other. A great functional episode overall and great entertainment. One of three episodes which almost made me cry.

    2.)'Similitude'

    3.)'Twilight'

    4.)'The Council'

    5.)'Chosen Realm'

Honorable Mention-'The Xindi', 'Exile', 'Harbinger', 'Azati Prime', and 'Damage'.

I'll give more revues later on the other top four.

2.)'Similitude'-A very subtle episode. Hikes up the romance with Trip and T'Pol. Sims desperation to live in reminecient of 'Tuvix' and his realization at the very end is so touching. The second best moral-delema episode next to 'Damage'.

3.)'Twilight'-I was spell bound from the opening scenes, when Earth was destroyed. The flashbacks to the last days of the Xindi conflict and T'Pol in command was very entertaining. Seeing the next few NX class ships was great. And the apocalyptic situation was played out in total with the crew and the ship.

4.)'The Council'-A great thrill seeing the Xindi Council take center stage with Archer and Hoshi. And the presentation of the evidence was very convincing. Degras death was such a shock and a major turning point in the collapse of the council. Plus, it had some of the best action of the entire season.

5.)'Chosen Realm'-Barely beat out 'Damage'. Archer's plan to retake the ship was great. And then the message at the end when they land on Triannon was so powerful. A great aplication of a modern situation to a future setting.

  4. I really liked "Cogenitor". Probably my favorite of season 2. The first that I really noticed that enterprise was improving was 'Minefield'. 'A Night in Sickbay' was good too; very well directed. I actually felt like it had been a long struggle to save Porthos and get through Archer's atraction to T'Pol. 'First Flight' was great; I love flash back episodes. 'Regeneration' was a fun one.

But, like I said, 'Cogenitor' wins out.

  5. 1) Its a simple matter of cause and effect. The spheres caused the anomalies, the anomalies were reshaping the expanse, the Aquatics agree to fight because they know if the spheres were nuetralized so would the anomalies. Spheres gone so the anomalies are gone.

    2) The Badlands are a massive plasma field which wouldn't alter reality but tear up any ship in it's path

    3) The Badlands where very near Cardassia and Bajor (the Maquis liked to hide out there). The Cardassians weren't discovered until around the TNG era, I believe (the Ent-bashers would have a field day with that one :( ).

  6. I didn't miss any shows this year, but I never saw 'The Expanse'. So I missed a lot of just general stuff that I would enjoy. I've read the synopsis at ST.com, that just doesn't do it justice at all. Plus it looked like it had some great action, with Duras.

  7. I always liked 'Way of the Warrior'. I always felt like 'Call to Arms' followed that same general formula for the Battle. DS9 vs. the Klingons was great. The boarding parties, the stakes, and the shots when the station fired the new weapons were very cool.

  8. If tptb wanted to go with a traditional Trek movie structure then ST XI would be more like an introductory film, showing the charcaters, the ship, the culture, and other essentials(comparible to 'The Motion Picture'). Then the meat of the series would come about (The Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock...kinda..., and The Journey Home). Then the series ends with a major event in terms of reaffirming faith in Humanity, the power of good and in the Universe itself (The Undiscovered Country).

An intro could bemaybe another adventure with the TCW. Then the Romulan War, and ending with the Foundation of the Federation.

  9. I havn't much been a fan of that theory. There was an earlier thread that talked about Romulans and Remans maybe being the same species and I just can't see a genetic structure jumping that much over the coarse of a few hundred years. Not to mention that, not only are the Remans a rejected species in the Romulan culture, but if the Romulans are involved then why wouldn't they send a Romulan who could blend in more easily in Earths culture. Not for the sake of the Nazis, but so that he might blend in with anyone else who might see him.

  10. I can respect your dislike of the show since you at least gave it a fair chance. I would say that you missed it's best season this year but that's just my opinion.

I would certainly agree with you. Enterprise has come a very long way since season 1.

  11. Well with the talk of ST XI being an Enterprise film, I'm only left to assume that B&B might be preparing for the worst, incase UPN decides to take the show off the air. That would mean that the entire Romulan War and Foundation of the Federation could be covered in movies, if the fan following was big enough. Which could actually work. No Trek film has ever had a major direct arc, and this could be a great direction to head in. An actual film series maybe a trilogy of sorts (keep in mind that I'm just typing what comes into my head and that it's only contemplation)

  12. I wonder if the theme song will be the old one based on TNG or the Enterprise one...

I'd like it if they did the opening with the classic Fan-fair, thats been done with the other movies, but the actual theme of the movie should either be original or based on the Enterprise theme. I think more of the theme used at the end of each show, not at the beginning. I just figure that the opening credit theme wouldn't do well in an orcestral soundtrack.

  13. I don't think it was a Nebula. I always thought that the shockwave hit Regula, the planetoid that the station was orbitting (the one Spock called "essentially a great rock in space"). That always seemed the most plausible esplanation to me.

  14. ::grabs Wereborg by the ear::

I AM NOT A BASHER..I JUST DON"T LIKE IT!!!!!! Get over it !!!!!

Despite our differences of opinion about Enterprise, I just had to laugh at that post.

Oh, yeah. Good to see you onboard, Riker Chick.

  15. It's time for an epiphany.  You all ready?

UPN cancels ENT after season 4, but we get a cliffhanger series finale about the beginning of the romulan war.  Just before the series finale begins, we get a "special" promoting an Enterprise movie for summer 2006.

We get an 11th movie focusing on ENT and the Romulan war... but wait, the TCW is tied into this!  Oh my, Sisko's returned from the wormhole to help in the TCW!  What's this I see?  The relativity from the 29th century shows up with Ensign Nine from the 24th century?

I smell a break from TV with an 11th movie allowing Trek to make a big comeback!

    Simma down na CJLP!

For average fans, it's going to take a few small revelations to get it in there heads that the movie will be before the other movies, much less through Relativity, Sisko, and time loop caca in the midst of it.

I am glad to see that the 11th movie is more than a little brooklet of info. I know its still slight but I guess putting the names up there add something to it.

    Jerry Goldsmith. 1 word. Yatzee!

I too have got a feeling that this movie could be a rallying point to raise interest in Trek movies again.

    Let's git'er done!
