  1. I hope ent gets cancelled.

    Why? :dude:

Anti-Ent people never give reasons. All I have ever seen of them is quick little "Enterprise Sucks!" and "Throw the show in the can.". Never any reason why.

Back on topic. I think Star Trek could use a break, but not until after Enterprise has finished its way through at the very least five seasons. Seven would be great put, with the hog-nosed penny pinchers at CBS and UPN getting fed up with giving the fans what they want (God forbid, a television company do that!), we might just have to settle. I think that if Enterprise is canceled, there could be a good chance of Enterprise stepping up to make a killing in Cinema. If Braga and Berman cna get a few years to develop some original sci-fi ideas and fine tune them, then we will get some extremely good Star Trek once more.

  2. Putting myself in Arhcer's position, I can't personally imagine living with the guilt of ordering someone else to death. I think that's what sets Archer and the Reptillian General apart (who sent a personal friend of his to certain death on a strange planet he new nothing of). Hayes or someone who volunteered, I could imagine doing it, but I personally know I wouldn't totally be able to justify it to myself.

  3.   Well, perhaps Earth just isn't putting resources into it because they don't feel the need, but after the Expanse ordeal they might reconsider how truly important having ships are!  Just an idea!

They might be building star ships while Enterprise is in the Expanse. They might arrive to find a whole fleet of vessel's. I wouldn't bet on a 40 ship fleet just yet. It owuld make sense that massive ship production would insue after the formation of the Federation. Who knows the first hundred or so might be Vulcan and Andorian vessels kept to serve in the defense fleet.

  4. I like the idea that it would be a cold war between the Star Fleet and the Romulans. Like I said in a previous post, I like the idea that Earth prevents Andoria and Vulcan from going to war, and as a part of a treaty between the three that they would defend each other from any dangerous threat. A cold-war could continue for a while, then a major conflict would begin and then the Andorian's and Vulcan's would pledge their forces; probably not all because both races would more or less be doing it because they had to.

  5. Would Quantum phasers be blue?

I just thought about that. Because quantum torpedoes used in First Contact and Nemisis were blue. I it would make sense to me.

Come to think of it, could hand held phaser use that same theory, of quantum based energy?

I'm getting way to into this.

It's all the smae anyway "stun" "kill" "vaporize". That's all you ever need.

  6. Chakotay would be promoted to Captain while Tuvok doubles as Executive Officer and Tactical Officer with a someone promoted to Chief of Security.

Hye mayBe Kim could finally get a promotion. I think he should be, if and when Voyager gets a movie.

Thinking about it, Chakotay would take over for Admiral Janeway, while Tuvoc is promoted to XO, and Kim promoted to Lt. and take over at Tactical.

  7. If it were between Tuvoc and Chakotay, in a close heat, I would say Chakotay. Just because Tuvoc is so frigid and wouldn't take a whole lot of risks. Chakotay, while even though he is quite conservative himself, would still have a potential to take a major risk. Not to mention the fact of how easily he would be able to gain the entire crews respect.

  8. I went with Generations. I love the score and the conflict of the Nexus is very heart wrenching, especially when you think about the lives that Picard and Kirk could have had, but didn't because of there obligations to Star Fleet.

I have never seen why people dislike it.

  9. It's a definite possibility. I mena think about it: If the Xindi attack never truely occured in previous Trek history, then the 7 million killed on Earth would tear the hell out of the timeline. Because, thats seven million people, who's children and grand children will never be born, and then generations of people are gone. There could have been some of Kirk's early relatives, or any one else who was ever in Trek. Unless it ends up being a paradow of sorts, where it was all meant to be anyway. I hope so. I hate the idea of an entirly different timeline cropping up out of all this.

  10. I was torn between Wesley and Icheb, but just the fact that I've seen a bit more of Wesley in life/death situations puts him over the top with me. Aside from those listed, I'd like to see Reed as a Captain as well, along with Kim, Trip, and *sniff* Data.

  11. Here's my theory:

The Romulans only have a small fleet since they have not yet had the "alliance" with the Klingons, seen in TOS.  Wouldn't it make since for a small Starfleet, Vulcan fleet, Andorian fleet, and a Romulan fleet to fight a war based on strategic attacks and not all out wat as seen on DS9?  This way, only a fourth or so of the season would actually deal with the war, or maybe just the occasional episode.  Heck, they could even make it a cold war like the one between the US and Russia.  To portray the Earth/Romulan war as a cold war might be the best way to go.  Durring this cold war, we could see the building of the Earth/Vulcan/Andorian alliance.  What do you guys think?

Star Trek is an episodic show by format, so I don't think it'd be fair to ignore a TOS episode because it's "old".  If the franchise had an arc structure, I'd say go for it, but due to the episodic nature, I think all the episodes should be taken into account, especially when an entire episode revolves arround a historic event for our fictional characters.

    That would be great.

They could include talk about technology (cloaking, disruptors) and even have an equivelant to the race for the moon: like settlement on a certain planet or so. And if the conflict became violent, then like CJLP said, the Andorians and Vulcans could be included as a defence fleet for Earth and human colonies. Possibly is could be in the terms of a treaty between the races which might resolve the border disputes between the Andorians and Vulcans.

  12. EDITED FOR FOUL LANGUAGE.......cant waite for them to can the show..........it has nothing to do with Star Trek........well it did take them THREE SEASONS to call it Star Trek : Enterprise......... :assimilated:

Nothing to do with Star Trek. It has two major angles to look at. One is the early years of Starfleet and 2 the fact that the entire future of Star Trek hangs in the balance with the crew of the NX-01.

And if that's all the reason you have then you could say the same thing about TNG in season one, saying that all of the TOS cast is gone. You could say the same thing about Voyager, too. It will become part of Trek, like everything else has, and all future show will.

Unless you have any other reasons?
