  1. I don't like it because of the temporal prime directive!!! I mean daniels is breaking a few rules.!!!!!

You wanna give a few examples or are ya' just of the mind set that "Enterprise sucks so...uh...everything involved with it is wrong and Enterprise sucks"?

That said, it has been good so far. It adds a new depth to the show, so that we don't know if things will turn out alright. That said, it could be remarkably easy to mess up with to many temporal paradoxes and I'm sure with me atleast, that it will feel unstable until we see the end of it and I can think of it all in sequence.

  2. I consider myself very conservative with my rating, and I give it a 9. Overall Azati Prime is probably one of the best episodes of the season (right up there with Similitude, Exile, and Twilight).

The thing that really gets me is the Xindi and the way they respond to one another. I can already see the breaking of the Xindi on the lines of Arboreals and Humanoids against Insectoids and Reptilians. the action was good at the end, but seemed second hand after Twilight (heck they blew the ship up that time), but it is good none the less, especially when the crewmen flew out. Seeing the bridge blown to pieces and the crew fighting for their lives hit a good cord with me. I love seeing Traivs getting screen time too, 'bout frekin time. I love the revalations near the end about what the Reptillians where doing behind the council's back and "she" (I had flashbacks to Two Towers), and the Enterprise-J and Daniels creates an off-hand but nice continuity with the rest of Trek.

That said, I didn't like T'Pol's emotional weakening that well, it was predictable that Archer wasn't going to die, and they didn't have to destroy the observation station on the other side of the moon. They could have just beamed down with Hayes and the MACOs taken the Xindi hostage and continued operations from there. Heck they had Hoshi's transalation junk they could have moniterred all Xindi comm. channels in that area.

But nothing, I got on a rant about a simple thing. It is not enough to begin to take this episode down. As I said before a 9 for one of the best of Season III

  3. I think it'd be nice to see Shatner back as Kirk.  Maybe play it in with the TCW.  Daniels plucks him after his death or something and ressurects him or something.  Just an idea.

To quote Dr. Evil "How 'bout no!"

    (sorry, couldn't reist)

As for the whole idea of one of Kirk's ancestors being on Enterprise, as long as it's not something that would be the foucs of an entire episode, I' m sure it would be nice.

  4. And I had an idea, would it be too much to have a young Sarek on board the Enterprise learn several things from T'Pol and Archer? It could be good, but it could also be extremely dumb.

Sarek wasn't born till after the founding of the UFP. :P

Well, like I said, I wasn't sure it would work anyway. And I new that his birth was pretty close to the Foundation of the Federation.

  5. Definitly the Reed/Hayes fight. I thought that the build up for the relationship between the two of them has been, well, less than great, but it was great to see the two of them kind of realize that they are more or less equals to one another. And then the bit with the ensign walking by was great.

    A good character episode.

  6. Any season-A two -part time-travel and or flash back episode about the Eugenics Wars or WW3.

Maybe an episode dealing with xenophobia on Earth because of the Xindi and/ or Romulans. Will Earth become isolationist?

I would like to see the deployment of the NX-02, some more conflicts with the Suliban and in the Temporal Cold War, I like the idea of something in the Eugenics Wars, more conflict with the Andorians and Shran, T'Pol and her conflicts with her obligation of duty to the Vulcans and to Enterprise, a few more episodes with the Klingons and Romulans, and ofcoarse the foundation of the Federation.

And I had an idea, would it be too much to have a young Sarek on board the Enterprise learn several things from T'Pol and Archer? It could be good, but it could also be extremely dumb.

  7. Click for Spoiler:

Archer was under alien influence, and usually I miss stuff like that. So it was predictable.  I agree with the above, that good moral comments were made, that children should be left out of the conflicts of adults; and  questioning if the indifference toward the plight of the eggs was in part motivated by their not being primates.

I gave it a 6.5. I have come to expect quite a bit lately from Enterprise, and this one just didn't deliver for me.

    Click for Spoiler:

I also caught on that Archer was under the influence of the Xindi eggs. But I also don't like that there was no real theme to it at all. On one hand I can see an honest point to Archer's actions, and it was all caused by Xindi-egg-juice. And I didn't get why the MACO's were so blind to Archer's irrationality, even if they're newbies to space are were just taking orders.

    Sorry.

;) oh what the heck, every one else has put it on one of their posts.

  8. I don't know. The guy does have a Romulan like edge to his voice, and the cloak idea does make som,e sense but i don't think that we can begin to make any real assumption about his race or loyalties.

I still think it's a possibility that the Makers (sphere builders) are rival to the "Future Guy's" Organization. It doesn't seem logical that the Suliban would suddenly warn Star Fleet about the location of their impending doom. Hopefully it will be elaborated on later on.

  9. the ship, the Enterprise-E

    the crew,

    Captain Jean Luc Picard

    First Officer Commander Spock

    Cheif Engineer-Commander Charles Tucker

    Medical Officer-Commander Beverly Crusher

    Ops-Lt. Cmdr.Data (who else)

    Security-Lt. Tasha Yar

    Tactical-Lt. Malcolm Reed

Helm-Ensign Demora Sulu (just for the heck of it)

  10. Well how do we know that the "Future Guy" who works with the Suliban and the alien from 'Harbringer' aren't the same race and working towards the same objective. It's just speculation, I know. It's easy for me to see them being rivals as well, which would be why he told Archer about the Xindi.

But there's one flaw in the Xindi plan that I have noticed recently:When the Xindi probe attacked Earth, why did they test it there? If they had tested on a remote system like the one in Proving Ground, Star Fleet would never have known the Xindi, aside from taking the word of the "Future Guy", which I doubt they would trust. Now Earth is alarmed and Star Fleet's flagship is searching the Ex[pance for the weapon.

Could it have possibly been a ploy to start a war and destroy Star Fleet in an entirely unseen fashion?

    Just my thoughts.

  11. I gave it a 9..Pretty good episode...

    Click for Spoiler:

That Reed/Hayes fight scene was great. And I was happy to see Travis finally get to do something..I too enjoyed the conversation betwen Trip and Reed..Funny stuff..I hope we haven't seen the last of Lt. Cole..

I agree with that entirely. I gave the episode an 8.

    Click for Spoiler:

Because the beginning seemed pretty slow and the scenes with Malcolm and Hayes were predictable. But the sparring match in the halls at the end was very good, and the bit at the end with the alien made it one of the best shockers in the entire Xindi arc.

  12. I know one thing. DONT BE ANOREXIC. Its bad, you can die from it. True beauty is on the inside not the out side. Dont listen to what the media says. If you think you have weghit problems talk to your doctor dont stop eating or become bulimic. I wish i could help you but I dont know any websites.

I'm not suffering from it, but I just need information. Thanks for your support Rivendell King.

  13. Sex adds NOTHING to Star Trek.

Amen!! I think that is all that needs to be said than that. (But alas, I will say more).

Sex on Star Trek wouldn't do anything but start controversy, get people pissed off, and make people want to watch Enterprise for the wrong damn reasons.

Even if the ratings dectupled (I think that's the right word term for 10x) they would drop off, because like many have said here there are many other placed to find sex other than Star Trek. Their attention would fade, so would the show, the true fans would be pissed off, the show would never be the same (if it wasn't cancelled) and Star Trek would be scared.

Star Trek doesn't need sexual themes to keep an audiance it just needs to do what it has always done best: Great Science Fiction.

  14. When Paris broke the warp threshold, Torres, Kim ,and Paris used a new type of plasma from the Delta Quadrant. I've have alway taken to the theory that the meter on Pars's shuttle read as Warp 10 only because that was the next speed known to the computer readouts. I have held to the belief that speed beyond Warp 9.999 are very attainable.

  15. I listen at home, I just got the Nemisis soundtrack tonight. It's awesome when you don't know exactly what scene the music goes with, because you get to imagine an entirely new scene and then a new story begins. I love being a writer. I just sit there on my can and things come to me.

I wouldn't really trust myself with any sound tracks in my truck. I have one Rocky tape that I listen to and sometimes I get all hyped up and stuck in the moment and before I know it I'm going twice the speed limit.

  16. John Logan wrote a great script which Baird hacked to bits. He cut out a lot of character moments that I think may have made Nemesis better received. All the deleted scenes I saw could have been worked in perfectly. I would not mind seeing Logan write another Star Trek movie because he knows the franchise, but I would like to see either Johnathon Frakes or LeVar Burton direct.

That is exactly my feeling. I feel that to please the actual fan-base of Star Trek, people who know Trek have to take the most important jobs (writing, screen writing, directing, producing). Robert Wise directed The Motion Picture was directed by Robert Wise, one of the best directors of his (if not all) time, but there is just so much depth and history with Star Trek and it's nearly impossible for anyone to take it all in and totally understand it. I've wanted to see Frakes, or Burton, or maybe David Carson ( The Emisarry and Generations) or Robert Duncan MeNiel (Twilight) to get a shot at the next film.

  17. I was extremely tempted to vote for the stupid director option, but I held back and decided to again complain.

"Character Development You Idiot! Go Back Into The Editing Room And Work On A Schwartzenager Flick Or Something!"

Okey Dokey. Rant Over. :o I'm good.

But I was so inclined to blame the film itself in general, untill I heard that the original script had about 45 minutes more of dialogue then the finished film did. If they had cut 15 or so minutes out of the last battle, there would have been enough time to get other characters like Beverly, Geordi, and heck even Wesley more some camera time and build on the characters all around. I listened to Baird's comentary on the Nemisis DVD and like I said if it were an all out action flick it might have worked, but I remain unsatified with the last chapter of The Next Generation films.

  18. Thanks for stealing my next topic, Commander Ericks. :o  :o

Oh you know some one else would have done it sooner or later, anyway. :o

      I'd also add:

    Kurn

    Gowron

    Martok

    possibly Tomolok

Sloane? (whoever that Sec. 31 guy in DS9 was)

Sisko's admiral friend during the war?

    Captain Braxton

Geez, I had no idea idea I'd forgotten some many. Oh well.

Oh Yeah, I finally voted for Sarek. I love his presense in the Original Films. He has such a calm, regal, and intelectual touch to every thing he says. I loved seeing him with Picard on TNG, in "Sarek".
