  1. I just saw it, and give it a 9.

I agree with everyone else hear, Connor Trineer is the man. Even though I thought the dialogue where he chewed out Degra was forced, I still liked his acting. This episode had a lot of just shear development of different situations. It was almost like a day in the life of Enterprise. The whole thing with the plasma rupture was for the most part pointless, but i still enjoyed it and I havn't heard any other complaints about it. I also like the Archer/Degra bond thats growing. I hope that the writers find a way to get Degra back even after the Xindi arc is done with. I also liked the part with the dead crewman in her quarters. I'm not normally a fan of dream sequences, but this was quite entertaining.

And Phlox convincing Trip to go to bed was absolutly great. I was laughing the whole way through. And now I'm really liking T'Pol and Trip together. This episdoe made you feel like it was something more than just an emotionally unstable Vulcan and a horny Engineer. There is a strong bond growing there.

One last tid-bit, the Reptillian Captain, was good as well. Just a very untrust worthy, Reptiliian feel about him. It's a shame he had to die. I would have enjoyed seeing him in other episodes.

Now that I think about it, this episode deserves a 9.5 at the very least for everything that it did. Like Bolivar said in the first post a very nice change of pace from the hypertension/ action packed feel of Azati Prime and Damage. Very nice.

  2. I voted for Worf, just because of all the people on that list, he's the one I'd least want to see on the other side if I where a criminal or in a fire fight.

Odo and Malcolm where close runners-up. I love'em because they have such stubborn attitudes towards their jobs.

  3. Hold on

    1. Harriman was suppose to be ready for a disater which he had no idea was going to happen and couldn't possibly be ready for. Also, there is no reason to believe that Harriman was responable for the topedoes, tractor beam, or the medical staff. Archer didn't have a full crew aboard either when the NX-01 left dry dock.

    2. Harriman was smart to avoid a poweful gravity distortion with a brand new ship. The dust had barely settled on the Enterprise and I get the feeling like they were only in space as a big show for the media. He knew they weren't ready, and made the desicion to go when he saw he had no other choice.

He wasn't the most experianced man, but the right stuff is there for a solid commander worthy of the Enterprise.

  4. If Q appears on enterprise (any Q for that matter) they had best have a good reason for being there, not just for the sake of putting Q in four series.

It could be a great episode, but it could also go horribly wrong.

  5. I personally didn't like the first 2 seasons of Voyager, there were good episodes contained in those seasons but on the whole I didn't card for the seasons.

I felt the same way about Enterprise in the first season. It was absolutly horrible, IMHO, and I was more than ready to give up hope. Then season two came along, which had solid episdoe after solid episode and built up on the better parts of season one (TCW, Shran). Now hopefully after season three the show will really take off. I think the same is so with all other Trek series. Season 1 introduces the characters, their strenths, weaknesses, problems, and a main arcs which will reoccur through out the rest of the series.

  6. A 9.5. Definitly one of the most daring episodes of Trek ever done.

    Click for Spoiler:

This is the dark side of Star Trek. It shows that humanity is still capable of doing things that are just flat out wrong. Plus I like it the issue with T'Pol and the trellium. For once the sex scene actually worked for me, and it shed light on episodes like Harbnger and Azati Prime. T'Pol is feeling these emotions for the first time in her life. Ofcourse it's going to spill into her dreams. I really don't like Archer after this episode, and that may have been the writters intention for him. I don't doubt that the Illyrens (I think that was their name) will come back later on the side of the Xindi.I also liked the bit between Hoshi and Travis while scanning the ship.

    Click for Spoiler:

Side bits-I didn't like seeing Casey Biggs (Damar) as a weak character. I was disappointed with the amount of screen time given to the Aquatic ship. The council seens seemed a bit over acted and the dialogue felt like they were going out of their way to antagonize each other, which isn't the best strategy for keeping secret that you know that someone has been plotting behind your back.

Like I said one of the most daring and darkest episodes in Trek history.

  7. Well, I'm fairly certain that at some point or another there is a Nebula class ship, but I can't be totally sure.

At the same time remember that a good portion of the fleet was destroyed at the Typho sector. and there might have been a limited number as it, with the Klingon threat and threat of a Dominion invasion over by Deep Space Nine. Come to think of it, thats probably why Sisko, Kira, or Dax didn't take the Defiant to the fight.

  8. I love the Reed/Hayes dinamic, but I don't think they'll keep him after Enterprise is done in the expanse. For one, there's no need for it and two, he's as stubborn as Malcolm and wouldn't just pick-up and go to an entirely different lifestyle.

Hayes would be the kind of character who would be good to bring back later on in the series after the Xindi arc, like season 6 or 7.

  9. If Data is brouhg back in some fashion, I believe that it should involve a struggle between bringing Data back or keeping B4 around. I suggested the idea that Lore some how be reactivated and it would be hsi personal quest to re-unite with his brother, and by some means would imprint Data's original programming on B4, delelte B4's main memory bank and upload Data's which is store inside of B4.

Something along those lines. But I will say this now. If the people in charge screw it up again, they wouldn't deserve another chance.
