Thats ok Trekzone, the Hangman is dead anyways. But I have a new idea for a new game on the boards that people will want to play. The best game ever! I'll catch you later on msn maybe. -
Oh, I thought you had played that game through already. I didn't know it was your current game. Cool. -
Yeah writting some stories about the Titan will be interesting for sure. And I will read it, but just be aware that lots of fan authors might try to do the same thing. For the sake of originality I'm not basing any of my characters on previous treks, although one or two of my characters might have some sort of affiliation with a series character for cameo purposes. My fan fiction might be ready by 2004 but no date has been set yet. -
It is of absolute importance to have a director that KNOWS Star Trek well. Secondly, it is wise to stick to those that have shown they have good directorial skills. Shatner didn't live up to that, but both Frakes and Nimoy did. Since Nimoy is done with directing, and doesn't know much about current Star Trek, I think the appropriate choice would be Frakes. He should have done Nemesis. I liked the movie much, but it would have been closer to what Trek is if Frakes directed it. If Frakes wasn't up to it, maybe Burton could direct. He has proven his skill, so have some of the Voyager actors. -
I actually didn't like the fact that Archer offered to take them back to Earth. I think he should have told them about Earth...but not take everyone back, because what if Earth was destroyed by somebody else besides the Xindi.. at least humans would survive in some other location in the galaxy. And even though they were taking a long time to make "civilized progress", they could have surpassed the Earth humans eventually in technology and societal evolution. Just an interesting afterthought ....So don't tell offer them a place on Earth cause Earth might be destroyed. That sounds much to pessimistic for Star Trek in my opinion. By that logic, everyone on earth should evacuate just in case. Humans could live like the el aurians...
Nah... I think Archer is still optimistic that Earth will survive in the long run.

Nice new name! Did it come from "Top Gun"??? In case anyone is confused, I'm Commander Bolivar with the new name of Captain Bolivar to match my rank... but I'm sure that was obvious enough!
P.S. Watch out for that MIG on your six!

I liked the upgraded D at one time, but now I think it looks awful! And what the hell is the point of a third nacelle?
As for the warp 10 evolving Janeway and Paris... that story does not make sense. If you take a species (we will call it species A) and put half the population on island one and half the population on island two, the species will quite likely evolve differently depending on how different their environment is. The species on island one could turn into a new species called species b while the species on island two could turn into a new species called species c. This is a simple example. Now lets take humans for example. In Star Trek humans have found their way into the 4 corners of the galaxy. Some are completely isolated from other groups like the ones seen in ent. I'm sure there are other examples. So it is likely that humans over eons will not evolve into just one species but several distinct species that are no longer human or equal to each other. So why did Tom and Janeway evolve into one particular species. It doesn't add up. Heck, why couldn't they have de-evovled instead because by travelling at infinite velocity they would have to travel at every speed including those above the speed of light which have to do with anti time. Saying this, the velocities should have cancelled themselves out like just about everything else does in quantum mechanics and the resultant speed would actually be the speed of light. So there you have it, warp 10 should be the speed of light. Too bad warp 1 surpasses that! I guess warp 10 would really be useless if it were "infinite" speed. Wow, I can't belive I just came up with all this right here and now. I does make sense according to quantum theory. Hmmmm, any thoughts? I think I'll add this to my site (it's under construction so please don't ask for the URL just yet)

Concerning the talk about what other captains would have done in Archer's situation, if I were a captain I would have ignored the planet all together. If Archer had been killed what would happen to Earth. It was an unacceptable risk, but for the sake of a good episode I don't mine! -
Well may the best man win. But I've gotta say, I think mine is pretty good so far. It has a chance. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! -
It's too simplistic to say War is never good. I think all people could look at the needless killing that takes place and say that, but if a ruthless dictator is murdering innocent people like happened in WWII then going to war (from the standpoint of the allies) is a good thing in the end. So while it's true that "war isn't good" it is sometimes necessary and for the good of humanity.I agree that war is sometimes needed to stop ruthless tyrants who make innocent people suffer, but I don't feel that was is ever good, just a "better" evil than letting the dictator continue. Thats why I liked DS9, like my reason for not thinking war is ever good, the show was gray.

Just for record breakings sake we should co-ordinate the members and have everyone log on at an agreeable time. Might be fun to see how many ppl we can get to log on! Maybe thats just a silly waste of time, but whatever! -

Yes there is some outdoors in RE2 but RE3 is LARGELY based outdoors. In fact, the gate outside the police station in 2 was used in this game. Rebecca eventually makes it to the station for a bit with Nemesis coming after her. The mansion part in RE3 is short though. -
Yes I went once with a group of people from my Police Foundations class. Many of them were hardcore paintballers and could hit anything. I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. It was incredibly fun though. Didn't hurt as much as I was expecting either. Sometimes I'd go nuts and run out in the middle of 10 ememies and just go gunz a blazin. Got hit when I did that, but I earned myself a rep for having balls. lol. -
I am a big fan of the Resident Evil games, particulary the first 2. The movie was good, but not quite Resident Evil enough. The "Red Queen" as I think she was called didn't seem fitting. But I will certainly see the next one. I was happy to see the ending of the first movie lead right into the plot line of Nemesis. I can't wait for the second movie actually. I think it will be better than the first. P.S. Beating "Resident Evil" in under 3 hours to get the unlimited rocket launcher is so hard. Me and my friend beat it in 5 hours, so we tried again to do it faster and we got the exact same time give or take less than one minute. We did all of the side work though which is a waste of time, and only gets you a slightly better ending. GO RESIDENT EVIL! -
Hey, it's that time again to tell us what you gave Enterprise and why!
Here is what I thought of North Star:
Click for Spoiler:
North Star could not have come at a better time. After "Twilight", the explosive episode of last week (no pun intended), it was refreshing to see an episode that went outside of the Xindi story arc. Timing aside, the episode was quite good itself. It went back to the core of Star Trek, which is dealing with issues. While many episodes do this, but I think this one did it better than most. I was very happy with the hope that was created by the end of the episode. As for the action, it was fantastic! The phaser and gun fights were unique because they were out in the open, and not confined by corridors. Furthermore, I liked it when Archer got shot as it was incredibly real looking. Also, Reed shooting T'Pol reminded me of "Speed", except that it had a more humorous twist. "Take the hostage out of the equation!" The best action; however, was the physical action. Bakula is now my favorite captain when it comes to fighting hand to hand. He made fighting with one arm look very convincing and believable. His acting was also above par; he makes an amazing cowboy! After the wonderful episodes seen this season, I think that Bakula may be the best actor to play the role of a captain in Star Trek. Although Picard as a character was better, Bakula manages to out trump Stewart with acting ability, which is a very generous statement because Stewart is one of my favorite actors. They couldn't have chosen a better actor for Archer. Enterprise this season is helping me believe Enterprise can make it for a full 7 years. As a stand alone episode I give this episode a 9 of 10. This is more than I was going to give originally, but after writting out my thoughts on North Star, I couldn't give it any less. -
Good job, but I don't know much about TOSK. I know he was the first alien through the wormhole. I think. I haven't seen the actual episode since it first aired. Always seem to miss that one. The only way I know of TOSK is through a little blurb on SPACE THE IMAGINATION STATION. I doubt anyone here gets the channel... but it's ALL SCI FI. I love it. Anywho, nice work. -
The Borg are very unique in Star Trek, but they are all the same... just drones. What I like about the queen is that she is NOT mindless and subscribes to Borg philosophies to an extreme extent. Other modern (ie Voyager) Borgs always talk about perfection and things too, but most drones just walk around and don't do much. The Queens are too much fun, especially in First Contact. -
Here's a question! When does the special edition set come out on DVD? -
In themselves, I did not like the Kazon, however I did enjoy plots involving Seska and the Kazon. -
I definately love the new banner. I think my favorite is the one of Kirk with the tommy gun. -
lol, thanks trekzone. Aren't you such a gracious host! How about a drink? -
I'm working on my Star Trek site right now. I have a trivia section which will need to use radio button forms for submitting the answers from a visitor.
If I set my form up to store the data into a database Frontpage says that some components of the page cannot work in the current format and that I have to change the format from htm. to asp. The webpage appears as html when viewed by a browser in this format. So why does it want it to be in asp. format?
Secondly, if I set up my form to send the data to me by e mail EXACTLY as Frontpage help or help sites instruct me to, nothing happens. When I click on submit it gives me this message:
FrontPage Run-Time Component PageYou have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.
This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
Funny thing is that I'm quite sure that the server does have the extensions and even funnier is the fact that I get this message even if I just "preview in my browser" locally. Even help says to do this, but it does work.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'd be SOOO greatfull for ANY help whatsoever

To answer your question mjham. The personal logs are like journals. You create a topic for your own personal logs and just "add reply" when you wish to add a new log. They are meant to be viewed by other members, but you should not reply to someone else's personal log, nor should they reply to yours. The only time you can reply to someones personal log is if they say you can. I hope that helps!
