  1. The best Star Trek episode ever made on any series is a DS9 episode. Season 6's In The Pale Moonlight. That Episode was just awesome.

I acutally thought Pale Moonlight might be the most overrated episode of the series. You are right about DS9 having the best episode though...The Visiitor.

And its coming on DVD next week.

  2. Was that sckool house rock?  (shivers)  Nice video, but the song was too much! ;)

    *starts to sing*

We the people, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice...

    *gag*

Our social studies teacher in sixth grade wouldn't stop playing that song... :)

Must ...get... it ...out... of ...head... ;)

Hey if its good enough to memorize the preamble than it must be doing something right. ;)

I agree though. once you hear anything from SHR, its hard to get it out of the head. "I'm Just a bill" comes to mind as being one of the worst. ;)

  4. I am quite surprised many votes are for the one season many trek fans think was the most inconsistant of the 7, which was Season 7.

I voted for season 4 because it was IMO the most consisitant of the seasons. We have great episodes, like the Klingon arc, Clues, Family, The Minds Eye, and remember me. Also, I think it has most of the underrated episodes of the series like:

    Legacy

    Future Imperfect

    The Minds eye

    The Wounded

    Brothers

TNG took that momentum they had with Season three, and ran away with it in this season.

  5. I read something on trekbbs.com that I found kind of disturbing in regards to this site and I want to know if it was true. Evedently, someone was banned for having an opinion saying that he/she didn't watch startrek anymore because of some reason. Is this true and if it is, why was this person banned. Its not like there is a rule for ban on opinion...or is there?

  6. I guess this board is still full of bashing everyday and personally, I too think the series is just mediocure. However, lets lighten up this board with some positivity for the show. It may not be good, but in any show there is a good quality and its not all bad. What, In your opinion is that quality for Enterprise.

-John Billingsly (Phlox) is one of the best actors in all of trek IMO. His episodes such as Vox Sola, Dear Doctor, or The Breach have been consistantly good and he alone can carry the episode. I think he should have been cast as Archer because he knows how to carry a show.

-The First season storylines. I wish they brought back the Tendarans because they were cool, and a common complaint I hear from the Bashers is that this show doesn't produce any consequences for the crew. Last time I checked, after Detained, there were many consequences for archers actions and the Tendarans were one of them. I hope they are brought back. Also, I want to see the Silent Enemy again, as well as more of the Andorian arc. If the andorians are key to the federation, they should be playing a much bigger role, and Cease Fire was a good step

-Last but not least (And this may surprise some of you) the Temperal Cold War. I know I have come on here in the past and bashed this concept for not making any sense. Well after Future Tense, I have actually grown to like it now that we see other players in this conflect. I really hope they don't rush it, and if they are ending it soon, just let it run its course.

  7. If you are, what 3 episodes are you most looking foward too. I will be definatly getting it tommarow so for mine:

    Defiant: Tom Riker is back

Past Tense: One of the better TWO part episodes

The one with obrian shifting into the future. What is the episode called?

  8. I said more than one, and because most people would say Lore I went with Dr. Soong and Julianna Tainer. I mean they were great loving parents and even though juliana can be embarrassing, one could learn alot from them. For instence, that discussion with Data and Soong in "Brothers" about what life is and what choices Data made and the final dream sequence in Birthright I was great development for both Data and Soong. With Juliana, she was just funny.

  9. WHY would they not show Face of the Enemy? That's like everyone's favourite Troi episode! WHO is chosing these e[ospdes? HONESTLY!!

It's "the first network for men," so... supposedly, men are choosing the episodes.

Have you seen anything else on TNN. (Spike TV) I would advertise it as "The First stupid network for men." I mean just this weekend, I was watching this Japanese show most extreem Challenge, and that is the stupidest thing I have seen on television. Besides, its not really the first network for men when Outdoor life network is far better.

  10. I repectfully Disagree. DS9 got good in its second season. It started to brake away from the previous trek series, and become its own show and I think the Bajoran story (The Circle Trilogy) showed that. Also, it allowed the characters (Regular and recurring) to grow and become likable. Besides, it had several gems like:

    The Circle Trilogy

    Necessary Evil

    The Maquis I & II

    Crossover

    The Wire

    Jem'Hadar

I am looking very foward to season 3 though.

  11. If anything the other series have given the Borg more depth, then just being baddies for Picard and crew. They tried to make them less scary with ep's like Hugh, but then only had him get angry for detaching him from the collective. I loved Janeway's battle with the Queen and despite trepidation actually enjoyed the Borg's apperance on Ent.

But wouldn't that take away from why the borg were created in the first place. They were there as kind of monsters who couldn't be reasoned with. They were supposed to be nightmarish, at least at first. I agree that it was good to give them more of a 3-demensional attitude to villanous, but I think with voyager (Espesscially Dark Frontier) they went over the top.

  12. Next up Deanna episodes..

    Man of the People

            and

    Eye of the Beholder

Instead of Man of the People (Probably Troi's worst episode because the acting was so bad) it should have been Face of the enemy. (Trois best episode) As with Eye of the beholder, when I saw it a couple years ago, I had nightmeres for a week. After that, it wasn't that bad.
