  1. This is kind of a take off of the Best theme song thread, but visually, which was the best theme song. I'm going with VOY with all the beautful colors, nebulas, planets. They really did a great job with that theme song.

  2. They are. They skipped The Passenger for some reason, but it's kind of good they did. I would suggest don't watch Trek Uncut anytime soon. Spike is playing all of the two parters and this week will be Way of the Warrior, and In Purgatory's Shadow/By Inferno's Light is coming up soon. I'm surprised they skipped Improbable Cause and The Die Is Cast.

  3. The only reason I have to advertise other startrek boards is through email. I have just found other successful boards the same way you did, and I don't go back to ST.com anymore because of it. The other boards I go to are so much more originized and fun. ST.com sometimes felt like a chore. Thank you VBG and the other members of admin for this great board.

  4. I usually don't get to watch much Star Trek, but friday evidently, Sci-fi was playing a marathon and I was able to see this episode for the first time ever. Trek sure had a way of being weird, and this episode is a prime example. I mean a planet that is really an "Amusment Park" (I loved how they decided to actually take the literal meaning of amusment) and seeing something like alice and the white rabbit was just odd but enjoyable. Shore Leave was also funny because of the conflict between Kirk and his acadamy rival. Like I said, the episode was weird, but fun.

What are your thoughts on this episode.

  5. A Talaxian's physiology is much different than a Humans. The Doctor didn't have Neelix's file, and there was no way the pills would work. Neelix needed his own lungs back. That, and it would have been a boring episode. :)

  6. From what I've seen

Best: The Trouble with Tribbles, Devil in the Dark, Mirror Mirror, City on the Edge of Forever, The Menagerie

Worst: The Omega Glory, and Who Mourns for Adonais.

  7. I'm talking about the big space battles, and not the small ones like the Oddessy in "The Jem'Hadar"

My favorite was The Way of the Warrior. With all due respect to Die is Cast, that space battle was really short and we didn't see much of it. In WOTW, we saw DS9's new artillery, hand to hand with the Klingons, and a Torpedo launch from the Torpedo's point of view. That was a cool shot.

Sacrifice of Angels (The Poem before the battle, the Galaxies coverging on a cardie ship, and the Klingons coming from the sun) would be my second favorite.

  8. I just watched "Geeks V. Greeks" that was funny. I like MXC, because after a long day of using my brain at work, I can come home, plop my behind down in the easy chair, and laugh said behind off at this stupid, yet utterly funny, show. not appropriate for younger audiences, obviously, but if you are a mature person watching it, the dubbing is funny, Kenny and Vic are funny, and of course, with a name like Guy Le Dueche, how can you NOT be a funny person?

Well, I didn't like the Almost live thing but it was great to see MXC back to it's normalcy this last week. Taking a rip on the 2004 election, that was some funny stuff. :)

  9. If there are any other AI fans out there, who do you think is going to be American Idol this season. It was so nice to see John Stevens finnally beat the dust, even though I must say that he is really a class act. Simon was right when he said that Stevens has taken every bullet like a man, because he has. Despite that, I was cheering that america got it right unlike the last week when they got everything wrong.

As for who I say will be on the final 2, probably Latoya and Diana, with Latoya winning it all. I would say Fantasia has a chance, but her voice is really annoying and her "Dedication" to Hudson this week made me loose so much respect for her. I hope she is off soon.

As for the no bashing, I know Idol is one of those "Reality Shows" people love to hate, but this thread is for good discussion of the show.

  10. One of the best things about DS9 was that unlike Enterprise or voyager, it developed it's characters. You say Sisko is weak, but you have only seen the first few episodes. You don't even have a basis to your opinion that it just sounds so flawed. I would suggest if you think Sisko is weak, than keep watching. You will see a guy who leads a War, has to make tough issues, has lunch with anyone (Unlike Picard who was isolated a lot) and really changes for what you have seen. Calling him pathetic and weak deserves a

  11. And we have seen other shape shifing species that were not connected with the founders. What about that species that was hunted by the Eska (sp) I think during Enterprise's 1st season? They were on a dark planet with a hunting party that hunted the shape shifters, and one of them sought out Archer for help. They were clearly not related to the founders.

How do you know that that shape-shifter wasn't part of the founders. According to the Founder Female in "The Search" she states that 2000 years ago, the changlings were hunted and that they formed the dominoin. Who knows, maybe that chnageling in Rouge Planet might have been the beginnings of the founders.

    Just a thought.

  12. ...But at least it's stupidity that's not ashamed of the title, unlike a bunch of those other reality shows that try to pawn themselves off as "smart tv".

Agreed. I found out that the people who appear on Tekeshi's Castle (The show MXC is based on) did it voluntarily. There have been some injuries on the show. The show is stupid, but that's one of the things thats so fun. They don't take themselves seriously, unlike other reality shows that do. I do like it though because of Vic, Kenny, Guy, and Captain teneal. Some of the quotes from the show are great.
