From Trek: The Breen
The borg wanted perfection, well, they got a kick butt weapon added to thier collective conciousness, which is close to perfection.
Non-Trek: Rygel's species. :)

I have a question about Pulaski. Other than maybe "The Child," when was pulaski ever ever rude to Data.

What TOS episodes should you look for ? How about the whole series ?.. :)OK, let's see if I can highlight a few that you haven't mentioned..
The Trouble with Tribbles
Mirror, Mirror
Daggar of the Mind
Amok Time
Journey to Babel
The Enterprise Incident
Miri
The Naked Time
This Side of Paradise
The Immunity Syndrome
A Piece of the Action
By Any Other Name
A Private Little War
Oh, I could go on and on but perhaps I should stop there...
Aren't most of these in season 2 or three? I was just thinking about season 1 for now, but to tell you the truth, I can't wait till I get to see the entire series, including the bad ones like And the Children shall lead, and spocks brain. Also, I can't wait till I get to see the best episode title ever: For the World is Hollow and I have Touched the Sky.

They're nice, even though the first one is a bit too violent. Young people use this board after all.

This is kind of a variation of "Your favorite" episode, but I'm actually looking for recommendations from you'alls that love Star Trek.
I am so pyched for next tuesday to come. I've only seen very little of the series, but from what I have seen, I am ready to shell out the money to add it to my collection. I've only seen these episodes:
The Man Trap
The Menagerie
Balence of Terror
Shore Leave
Arena
Tommarow is Yesterday
Space Seed
Devil in the Dark
City on the Edge of Forever
What other episodes should I look foward to that is not on this list. Also, I saw these episodes on Sci-fi so they were so choppy. I can't wait to see the original unedited version.

I found this comprehensive review of the upcoming DVD release of Star Trek that was very well written over at trekweb. It's a three page long review and it a great job getting the trekkie inside all of us ready for next week's release.
Enjoy.
Also, if you guys find any reviews, post them. Next week will be fun.

^I agree with you about the voyager female roles. One of the things I liked about the original premise of voyager was that it was ment to show the female class that they can do anything as good as guys can. I liked the fact that they had a female captain, and a female active in your face person like Be'lana. It's a shame when they did bring in Ryan that they just used her as a sex symbol. It didn't overall match what voyager was trying to accomplish.

I tried to like Jeri Ryan, but it seemed like the show pushed the ensamble to the side and focused on her, Janeway and the Doctor most of the time. I still wish if Ryan had joined the cast, Lien would still be able to stay and have someone like Neelix or Kim go. Kes was such an interesting character, and her treatment in "Fury" is insulting.

Today is the birthday of the actress of my favorite character. Imagine that.
Link to startrek.com's feature on her.

I'm glad I'm not going insane over the tuvok thing. I know he was a popular character, but I just can't get warmed up to him.
Good to know this forum is alive and well, especially this year.

I noticed that this forum is one of the most inactive forums on this entire site. I can understand if the board is small, but there are a lot of people who frequent this place daily. I would have thought with the DVDs coming out this year, this forum would be somewhat busy. Where are all the voyager fans, or even fans of specific characters? I know voyager wasn't the best series, (That is debatable) but it's also not the worst.
:)
As for me, I've been watching the first 3 seasons of the show, and it's as good as I remember it. I'm liking Kes even more than I thought I would, and for some reason, I am finding Tuvok to be really really annoying. I watched Real Life last night and hope to finally finish season three by the weekend. Also, Kes's new hairdo that she got in Before and After is so much better than the blonde look she had. Jennifer finally seemed comfortable with the role, and it's a shame that her most interesting time (Before and After to The Gift) was so short. I really wish she hadn't left the series.

Like many DS9ers, I am always grasping at any straw that shows Paramount remembers that there once was a show called Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. In light of that, I would love to think that Shran is somehow connected to Weyoun and that we'll be given an Enterprise plotline that will connect to DS9 ... I can dream. But, Shran is simply another brilliant character portrayed by the awesome Jeffrey Combs. In an interview on the DS9 DVDs, I forget which season, Combs says something about that he originally auditioned for Riker?@!?! I can't even imagine that, can you?
I would have loved to see Combs play Riker. I liked Frakes, but just imagine how different Riker would be if played by Combs. It would have really had an impact on the series.

So, it' almost like a variation of Pool. Thanks Barry.

Face of the Enemy is Marina Sirtis's best performence. I think it was here and Chain of Command when I began to like her.
One other one I forgot to mention was The Mind's Eye. It's a shame they didn't make that a story arc along with the klingon story to end season 4 and start season 5. It should have been.
-
Wait, they're releasing Season 5 on the same day they are releasing Season 2 for Star Trek? What sense does that make?
-
Does anyone know if Paramount is going to include TAS in the third season of Star Trek when it comes out on DVD. It'll be a bargin if they do and even though I am not betting on it, I hope it is.

Did the dominion ever advance thier ships in technology or weaponry since thier first encounter with the Federation? I mean here is this jem'hadar war ship that is all powerful and is able to disable a galaxy class ship in one shot. Not only that, but then they are willing to show how far they are willing to go with a suicide run. Unfortunatly, as the series went on, it seemed like those ships got weaker. Yes it's true that the federation were able to advance (And they had the overpowered and outguned defiant) but why were the Dominion ships so easy to beat later on. One would think there would have been more of a cold war angle to the series.

Hockey, followed closely by Baseball, Football and Nascar.

I think there won't be any other band that is as timeless as The Beatles.

I always liked Pulaski. Yeah, they were trying to bring back the McCoy/Spock conflicts, but I still thought she added a much needed spark to the show.

I was just carious because I (My alias was tomalak301) had left that place last week and decided to come back to this active discussion site. (I also post at smaller boards like Ship of Trek and Sistertrek) I was wondering if there was anyone (Specifically who posts in the DS9 forum because that was the board I spent a lot of time at) I know here and maybe keep in contact with.
I don't know if I will ever go back there, but I just didn't have the heart to post there anymore and there is so much complaining and the mods ride a high horse like crazy.
