I think DS9 was a huge success in spite of Rick Berman ... Ira Behr must just have nerves of steel to have pushed his agenda for DS9 in the face of all that. Michael Pillar seems so intelligent and so nice in his interviews and that Ronald Moore seems really cool, too.Ira Behr will always have my respect, along with Ron Moore and Michael Piller. Hopefully, by the time Series Six comes around, Berman and Braga will be gone and those three guys with some new fresh talent will get Trek back to where it belongs.
^_^
Or get new guys who we havn't heard of to bring in new ideas. I do agree with Moore, Behr and Piller. I loved what they did for trek with TNG and DS9, and to a lesser extent, Voyager. I do admit though, I do like braga when he was working with Moore for TNG. Also, there are some Jeri Taylor episodes I love as well.

Wow, thinks for this. Next time I go though the set, I will watch them in this production order.

I don't know what production order is, so I view them as they are on the disks.

Wait, you can get into trouble for cussing and saying a word like Dam? (Spelt the other way of course) What kind of board is this.

Has anyone tried any of these drinks this summer? I know if you want less carbs, you would probably want to just do the diet, but I guess they brought these out as kind of a mix between diet and regular, and to keep the regular taste. If you have tried these drinks, what did you think.
For C2, that stuff wasn't all that bad, but it had a bad aftertaste. I guess that's where the aspertame come in, and it was kind of sickening. Today I finally had a Pepsi edge and that tasted really good actually. It had a more of a taste than the regular, but it in a way was exactly like pepsi.

I agree gdod i enjoyed the movie very much. The scenes at Yosimete were great. i love the song by Uhura she looks really good there. The death scene of McCoys father was the second best I chose on that poll thread a couple of days ago. The only part that was bad in my opinion was the end it could have been better, but as I understand it they ran out of money. I think it was a better film than Insurrection.Yeah, Uhura looks really really good. :blush 2:

"Prodigal Daughter" was a follow up to O'Brien's "Honor Among Theives", he was in search of Billby's missing wife. It was also used as a way to further develope Ezri's character. Don't forget she was a brand new character and the audience knew nothing about her other then she was host to Dax.You also have to take into consideration ratings, deep heavy topics like a war can tend to lower ratings if there isn't something to lighten things up from time to time. Badda Bing is one of the many episodes from season 7 that I count as a favorite. Could they have done without it? Sure, it wasn't part of the War Arc. But so what, not all 26 episodes of the season have to be related to 1 arc.
Consider the Holosuite episodes as the "Cotton Candy Factory Forum" of season 7. Something that's a fun diversion from the heavy topics of "Kronos" (the Dominion War).
In DS9's final season, they should already have a niche audience, and because the show is in syndication, ratings don't mean a darn thing.

No one has commented on this great interview? That's surprising. Other than the fact that the interviewer was baiting him the entire time, the interview was very candid.

Star Trek 5 is usually considered one of the worst movies in the trek franchise, but is there anyone out there who likes this movie as much as I do. Yeah there were bad scenes, but there were also very memorable scenes, such as showing the deep connection with Kirk, Spock, and Mc Coy in Yosemite or when the enteprise is about to go into the great barrier and the camera scans down to "Where No Man Has Gone Before."
I remember watching it on DVD a few months back, and it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

I havn't seen BB so The Lion King wins out. Besides, in a few weeks, I'm going to see the brodway play.
-
The ONLY good thing about the show was the great music and the visual effects. Now all they need to do is work on the characters AS AN ENSAMBLE, and they will have a good show.

I too have heard this, and it's going to star Tom Cruise. I havn't seen the original, but I heard that a ton of money is going into the production. I hope it's worth it, and a good film.

I still watch South Park, but I used to watch cartoons a whole lot more. Some of my favorites:
South Park
Spider Man
Gargoyles
Animaniacs
Batman Beyond (What ever happened to that show, it was cool)

Well, I'm not feeling very happy with the 49ers chances, but it's all that imbicle John York's fault. He is a very bad owner.
In a way, (And because Brady is a San Mateo Native) I am hoping New England will become the destiny of the NFL, even though I am rooting for the Raiders. I think the raiders will have a much improved year with what they did to the D-line and bringing in Warren Sapp. They might have gotten rid of brown, but they have this stud in Doug Gabrial, they have the best reciever ever to play the game, and they have a rising star in Jerry Portor. Not only that, but they have 2 QB starters and a young up and coming QB in tuiasosopo. I hope this is a much improved year.

Greatest Moment?
Probably Michael Phelps beating out his teammate in his final race (I forgot what it was) and than handing him the chance to go for gold in the 4 X 100 relay. That was such a great race, and such a class act moment. Some other moments:

I thought they only changed once, and that was between season 1 and season 2. It seemed like the ridges got smaller and less noticable, even though they were still there.
-
7 would have acted just like Tuvok in Resolutions. Bland, unemotoinal, and with no feeling. I somewhat liked 7, but no thanks.
-
I'm not watching any TV right now, but when I get a chance, I will see more Star Trek.
-
I saw the trailer a week ago. I can't wait till that mini-series.

I agree with both of ya on most points....I really think the war shouldn't have ended so fast...the last episodes seemed very rushed and I also was pretty bored of the holosuites episodes of season seven...Some of them were good, but I think they just had one too many...
The Kai Winn/Dukat relationship was hard to watch since to me, it seemed like it degraded Dukat's character to turn Bajoran....It was an interesting twist, but just very...awkward...
Maybe we could have had at least one more Weyoun and Damar episode...heehee.
I agree, I would have rather see Weyoun and Damar more then Winn and Dukat, though they really had to have Dukat in it to close out his character.
As for the holosuite episodes, I loved them. They only had 3 that season, "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" which was great to see the characters "out of character" and doing something as simple as playing baseball.
"It's Only a Paper Moon" was a great follow-up to "The Siege of AR-558" and closed out the story arc of Nog's leg as well as developing Vic's character more and "Badda-Bing Badda-Bang" was a great diversion from the war for the crew and the audience, how could they not do a "Rat Pack" episode when they have a 1960's casino on the station?
OK, I can understand the first 2, because take me out to the holosuite was a great show, and It's only a paper moon was necessary, but they didn't need Badda Bing Badda Bang. It just seemed like half way through the final season, the writers were wasting time, which in the end came back to bite them.

I just watched Scorpian again (Great season finale, voyager's best) and I keep on thinking about Janeway's decision to join the borg. The Borg has been known as cold-blooded murderers for several years, yet there is nothing known about 8-4-7-2. Yeah, they did attack the ship (GI Joe style it seemd) and harry but that seemed like it was in self-defense. Also, you can't judge a whole race based on someone's intuition. (Someone who has not mastered her telepathic ability yet) I wonder why Janeway didn't either listen to chakotay, or try to make communication with 8472. I know hindsight is 20/20, but do you think just based on scorpian alone that Janeway made a deal with the wrong devil?
The Ending to Mudds Women
in Star Trek
Posted
I watched this episode last night, and I was confused about what happened with the ending. So this women has been taking this drug to get beautiful as part of a prostitution fruad and I understood that. But she turned beautiful by taking a fake drug and the reasoning was if you think you are beautiful, than you must be. Am I on the right track here. She was ugly but she wasn't ugly?
As for the episode itself, I didn't like the theme of Prostitution and having women as property (Which was basically mentioned throughout) but I did like Mudd himself. I thought this is the worst episode I have seen so far this season.
