    Nothing is ever definite in Hollywood.

    Yeah, was it not Sean Connery that said he would never play Bond again? and look what happened, here he was in another Bond film...and for good measure it was titled Never Say Never Again. So, I think there could be another TNG movie,and I will think that until 5 years pass and either there is no movie or another series has its big screen debut.

    What do you mean Lonely Among us had a good Political Message. I find that an interesting comment. Can you elaborate.

     

    Anyway, I don't think season 1 is the "Best" season, but it gets a tremendously bad rap. I have been watching this season on DVD lately and have been impressed. I still think the best season would either go to season 4 or 5. However, episodes I do like in season 1 include:

     

    Lonely Among Us

    The Battle

    Home Soil

    Where no One has gone before

    Hide and Q (I love the use of literature in this episode)

    Datalore

    11001001

    Coming of age

    Heart of Glory

    The Arsenal of Freedom

    We'll always have Paris

    Conspiracy (The best episode of the season)

    The Neutral Zone

     

    Wow, thats quite a list. This season is indeed underrated.

    Even though it is seen as a weak season, it really is good in it's own respect...just look at your list and you can easily see that it is true.

    Some people just don't like them...for me personally it depends on the movie on whether I like the full screen or wide screen version. I have the otehr TNG movies in their widescreen format....and I really don't see a problem with them.

    Heck, Lucas is doing a toon series about the Clone Wars so why shouldn’t Trek visit the toon well again? Any new series (or mini-series or direct to video movie(s)) would not have to take place after ST6 right? (Although Sulu Adventures easily could.) I have heard talk about doing a Kirk and Co at the Academy for years, where is it? I have heard others say that either of those ideas would interest them.

     

    When it comes to the Trek Universe, the possibilities are endless and I want more of those possibilities to see the light of day. What is stopping them... profitability?

    Sounds like your talking about TPTB as if they are Ferengi...heehee...I guess profitablity would be a deciding factor.

    new actor? yuck i sure hope not. if data is not played by brent spiner i probably wont watch the movie. well, unless brent has an identical twin with the exact same acting skill and knowledge of data as brent does. im going to say probably not though. lol.

    Yes definately YUCK! If Data is not portrayed by Brent...then he isn't Data, he is another character! If you change the actor you change the character..

    It did Shinzon fan, but I think that he was supposed to start off liike a "blank board" and become more human as the show went along. He was SUPPOSED to change (I acyually think him and Crusher had the most consistent personalities)

     

    As for best season, I can't decide. Not on a worst, not on a best...

    I agree...and that is why I think he is such a popular character...because he changed so much and yet stayed the same in a way...he was so easy for many of us to relate to..

    OMG! Never used a typewriter! Oh wait I keep forgetting that typewriters kinda died out somewhere before I got to high school... I remember having to type up my reports on a typewriter(I had an old non-electric one, then that broke and I had to go to the electric one), the abstract of my science fair project HAD to be typed on a typewriter...

    Ok I personaly did NOT find it very funny when Dr. Crusher was pushed in the water...  Worf dropping into the water that was funny..  Of course my whole family thought it was funny when she fell in but I didn't...  I mean come on he PUSHED her..  Ok I am done rammbling..

     

    umm I like any thing that Dr. Crusher said and the scene in FC with Deanna drunk was good...  lets see what else...  I liked that line from NEM,  "All things considered Data I think you have nicer eyes."

     

    well as you can see I am obsessed.. :(

    That is one way to go about it...but then you would have to ignore all of the TNG movies and I can't quite do that, since I liked them all...it is just the ending of Nemesis that I (and my sisters) hated.
