  1. Yep, and we have already been on the private message boards! So we got to talk earlier! We definately need our other Soong Sisters to join us. And it looks like we may have a couple new friends when we discuss our favorite person!

  2. OK, that is a tough question. For Star Trek. . .probably Jerry Goldsmith (OK so I am TNG all the way!) As a composer, Horner (I have his Heart of the Ocean CD and that has a collection of his works, Star Trek IS one of them.), I also had done a floor exercise routine to music by Horner( I am part Scottish, and so I chose to perform to selections from Braveheart).

  3. And if you are me, which I am. . . If Brent is not in the movie as Data. . . I AM NOT EVEN GOING TO WATCH THE TRAILER!!!

OK, that may seem a little ridiculous, but, he's my favorite character and they took him away from us! And no, he can't come back through B4, he has to come back some other dignified and thoroughly possible way (so his sacrifice is not cheapened!)

  4. Yes soong_girl you are correct. I don't think I have read anything that said that makes me think that Brent didn't want to portray Data anymore. Matter of fact, in one of the last issues of Star Trek Magazine. . . the quote at the beginning of Brent's interview was "What makes you think that Data is dead?" or something along those lines, plus at the end he makes a remark about possibly coming back as B4 OR as Data.

As for the remark about Brent being the one to write about Data's death. . .he may have said that he was getting to old to portray him, but that the death scene was not decided by him. I believe that it was John Logan who actually came up with and wrote that scene.

As for what I thought of the whole scenario? Well you can see why I liked Nemesis but abhored the ending. And yes, I left the theather in hysterical tears! I don't care who saw me! My little brother actually suggested that we not drive home quite yet, I guess he didn't want to ride in a car with a severely upset driver. It WAS a nearly fourty mile drive for us to see the movie! Since our stupid hometown theaters were not showing it(one theater was actually quite proud of that???!!!)

  5. OK, maybe it's because I am only almost 23, but Picard is the best captain in my book. Even though, he kinda gets on my nerves a bit after he was rescued from the Borg. I think Lily's argument with him in First Contact, sums everything up. He was never bad, just kinda vengeful in a slight way.

My mom was a fan of the Original Trek, and she too chooses Picard over Kirk. As for the other series, I really don't watch them . . .but to be fair I did try watching a few episodes each of Enterprise, DS9, and Voyager, they are just not my cup of tea.

  6. Hello, I am from ST.com, and I still go to talk to my fellow members of the Soong family. I decided to join because I saw that soong_girl had! And soong_girl I tried to get your message but, I am still new to Netscape and message boards. So I really did not try to ignore you, sorry sis.
