  1. Back the fact is that all of the Rising Action built up to an action set piece which could have been done by any one with that kind of money. Out of all of the TNG Movies, there has never been a real thinking movie. Generations and First Contact did a pretty good job of combining action and deep themes. Insurrection tried, and then just fell in another action set, but most of the reason that I would want to see Nemisis would be for the action. I watch The Matrix if I want action. It's not what Star Trek was meant to be.

  2. 1.) More development of Mayweather, he could pretty cool if he did more than just be the mandatory pilot.

2.)Make T'Pol's dialogue a little less human. In many episodes she shows emotions in both her inflections and her dialogue, that show she is not emotionally barren. I do realise that the writters may be trying to slowly make her more human and get her romantically involved with Trip (I HATE Spoilers!!!), but she could still become involved with him and remain more or less Vulcan, like Sarek.

3.)If anything tone down the technology, and the sets could have been made more TOS. The sets and technology, are very influenced by later VOY and DS9.

I'm fine with the theme, I'm not thrilled about the romance with T'Pol but it does intrigue me at times, and I think that the exploration themes havn't taken to much of a hit in the Expanse.

  3. no im only saying that they could of made it the traditional Consitutional class. i really didn't like the Excelsor class ships.

Are you basing that just on looks?

The constitution class was out-dated by then. It would be like the Navy making the next great battleship with blueprints from WWII.

  4. there isn't really a point making it a excelior class ship

At the time, the Exselsior class ship was the next wave of ships. It was like the Galaxy class star ships. It only makes sense that the next Enterprise would have been the latest model. Watch the Space dock scenes in Search for Spock. It really gave me a feel that the Exselsior is some hip-hop new kid who thinks he knows it all, as opposed to the weathered, and aged crew of the Enterprise (I may exagerate a bit with my metaphors ;) oh well).

  5. Oh my, I can just imagine Data sitting in the Captain's seat after the test had ended contemplating what the test was designed to find out about.

"I do not understand. I am an Android. I do not have a 'character' to be tested."

I'd imagine Worf would take the ship on a suicide run.

  6. Average. I hope the next TNG film is better

Average because it's action was pretty entertaining, it had a few pretty good themes, and Data's death was touching. But over all it was a little over an 2/3 of pretty good build up for a final 1/3 of action which ends up following hardly any themes at all.

I really hope another film is made because I'd hate to think of this as the close for TNG. It has done so much for Star Trek, and TOS ended so well with The Undiscovered Country. I think that with some clever writing they can puill out at least one more.

  7. A night in sick-bay stands out because that was when I truely realised that Enterprise has some great talent working there. You got the feel that it actually was one really long night, the dream sequences with Archer and T'Pol were excellent, and ahndly the issue of Archer's developing feelings for T'Pol was also handled with great precision.

Regeneration was also good, just because of the Borg.

First Flight also stands out, because I love seeing members of the crew at younger stages in their life, plus we got a bar fight with Archer.

  8. Twilight is thus far the best Episode of Enterprise yet. Similitude follows very closly, but Twilight has your attention from the start and never lets go. I can definiantly say that season three has been great thus far.

  9. I didn't mind the fact that the crew separated so much. It was a litle depressing and all but the end of the war really messed up the finale for me. I would have liked to see something like in Band of Brothers, where the last episode was more less when the enemy was al ready beaten and all that was needed was a surrender. The Dominion falling back to Cardassia and the huge show down being set up at the last, just wasn't realistic for me.

  10. I can kind of see a point to 'Rick's Rule'. I mean, not to the total extreme that he does, but more making the show it's own thing. That way when you do have references to previous shows and charcters it would seem more natural. It's like a General fighting in Iraq who would mention General Patton subtly and a Navy Admiral asking about a channel which was first discovered by a famous adventurer. If it's over done then it looks like the writers are going out of their way to bring the Original Series.

Like I said, I can't kind of see it, but Berman is being a childish about it.
