I wasn't saying that I minded it, I was trying to be quite clear clear about that. But I hasd the thought that maybe it was Picards time shifting that ended up changing things. Think about it. Picard ended up telling the crew about how the crew was separated, and drifted apart. Who knows, maybe Riker left and a new first officer took over and maid it destroyed the Bird of Prey, before it caused the core-breach. Maybe Deanna was assinged on a different mission, which she wouldn't have been on now because she married Riker, which led to her death.
I could keep going all day, to no real point. But it is something to think about.

With the Enterprise-E, I just had to wonder how the updated NCC-1701-D would factor into the future. It does bring up several questions
Why wasn't the ship destroyed in the first place?
Why didn't the ship de-commisioned?
..and just for the heck of it, what was with warp 13?
Just looking for your input.

I'd rather have 2-3 VOY movies first. How about this?Voyager movie 1: Reprecussions in the Alpha Quadrant
Voyager movie 2: Species 8472 invades
Voyager movie 3: Borg evolve & return[/color]
Actually I hadn't thought about that. An actual trilogy of Star Trek movies, like the Star Wars movies. That would be great. It'd probably confuse the heck out of the non-trekkers, but it would probably bring them into it.
-
I got to say Trip.
-
Like I said in my post, for all of those things to happen not only would it feel pretty forced, but you'd spend atleast a third of the movie getting the crew back together, and most of the non-trekkers watching the movie would be confused as hell. I have always liked the idea of a mixed cast. I like the idea of Sisko being sent back.
-
Any plot that would come about would end up feeling some what forced, unless their was an actual threat or reason for the cast to join up again
Deep Space 9 might be good with Sisko some how being released from the worm hole. Hell the entire attention of the Quadrent would be focused there, so it would provide a valid reason for those who departed to return. Odo would still be a challenge but they could find a way.
Voyager would be a major problem. With four major cast members not even in Star Fleet, much less on the same ship. It would have to be Janeway, pulling rank with who ever is in charge of the Voyager (and do that when she could take a galaxy class ship?), followed by a massive reuturn of departed characters. Oiy Ve!

im a big star wars fan cant what for episode 3Let's hope GL finds some one to help him with dialogue on this one. Aside from that it'll be great.

Oh my! This is like a sick game of fill in the blanks.

There are many layers and each layer is made up of many smaller subunits of "phase" Remember, our phase in normal space is 3-D you have to move in the 4-D (not time) to reach subspace.... (more layers)
---------
-
-Superspace
-
---------
-
-Normal Space
- (<-this mark is a different phase below us in normal space)
---------
-
-subspace
-
---------
... (more layers)
[Fig 1]
Subspace is in reality very much like our space with some important differences:
• Subspace is more dense - meaning 1 meter in normal space is actually equivalent to two meters in subspace (this does not mean it is 2:1, the ratio actually varies - just an example)
• Subspace is filled with a much higher amount of ambient energy and has many distortion waves (such as those that can be seen in all subspace rifts)
Hopefully this will provide you with a short understanding of subspace.
For further reading and insight visit: (I did a search for subspace)
That is some deep s**t. So it would be actually possible for some one to enter sub-space, with a ship.

I voted for Star Wars but the trilogy I have in mind is Episodes IV - VI. Indiana Jones would be my second choice - Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade were terrific but Temple of Doom kinda sucked IMHO.What you said. Star Wars is my first love in terms of movies. I loved Radiers and Last Crusade, but Temple just seemed all over the place and at times seemed more like a slap stick comedy.

Mid-Western Illinois. I live in the mid west of the mid west. Ugh.

Going to my girlfriend's house to watch The Ring and something else.
Oh well, it's an excuse to be with my girlfriend, thats enough.

I've been writing some fan-fiction for Star Trek and I was just wondering, so I don't make a fool of myself, what exactly is sub-space. Is it like a hidden fold, or another realm or what?
-
Probably the Curse of the smelly goat will be alive still too, (if not it'll be the idiot fan in left field curse, either way the Cubs are still screwed)
-
The name, the penate could just be left over from baseball and used in another sport that took baseball's place, like say Water Polo or Soccer or hacky sack (y'never know).
-
I always thought about what it would be like for Sisko's child, who was concieved just before the end of the series. It would be something more for another series probably (the next, next generation if you will).
But back on topic, as a fan, I would love to see a mixed cast movie, the problem is general audiences would walk out thinking how retarded it was. And plus a good 1/4 to 1/3 of the movie would just be getting those characters together. Voyager would probably be the most likey for a movie, just because of everything that would have to be done to get the whole cast back on the station, and again, general audiences would be lost from scene 1.
-
I thought it was a pretty good episode, even if it was just a ratings booster, I still enjoyed it. As for the explanation, like Bolivar said, it's not quite plausible but not impossible.
-
I might think about a middle name that would always have them wondering. Like Kirk or Riker, or maybe a variation like Troy, John Luke, or Kara.
-
I'm not sure. As a member of the crew, I'd probably take Jadzia, for her experiance. But if I'm in a fire fight, I'll tkae Kira right off.
-
Star Wars, they lack themes of humanity and self-perfection like Star Trek, but Star Wrs is just such a realease from the rest of the world. You can watch them and enjoy them (the Original Trilogy atleast, doubts arise with the Prequal Trilogy.)
-
I would think about it. Nothing to dead give-away. But it would be interesting.
-
Well they might have developed a way to travel the Galaxy by now too. Probably the only way they could totally travel in space would be to leave their planet behind.

Anyone want a new trio of Trek?
in TOS & TNG Movies
Posted
Gee Captain, where'd ya' get the idea for a trilogy.
Oh, well. I think it would be good but the problem is which series would the trilogy follow. I've pretty much given up any real hope of TNG getting another movie. DS9 would be great as a movie, with the cliff hanger ending, but it probably wouldn't last for much more than just one movie. And even if species 8472 could be incorperated, in an interesting way, I would still have my doubts about the fan loyalty to the show.
