  1. Only from disgruntled fans.

    I voted no.

 COOL!What class of ship is that on your signature?

    Khitomer class.

Its a mid-sized light exploration vessel.I found it at the USS Miranda RPG site.

    I thought it looked interesting.

  2. Ever notice that depending on the Trek series, the aliens met by the Starfleet are usually on the same technological level?Does that mean the various sentient species of the galaxy (with warp drive capability) are evolving at a similar rate,or are of a similar age?

Also many past races such as the T'Kon,the Hur'q,the Promellians, and theTriskelions, were all exploring, conquoring and or settling various worlds at roughly the same times.Does that mean that civilizations tend to "grow up" together, flourish at similar times, and then either evolve into more powerful beings (like the Douwds),or disappear together, and then new, younger species begin the process again (and again and again),in a sort of natural cycle of life?

  3. Fans of Martok would hate this idea...

but I've always liked Klingons best as bad guys. Now that the Romulans are more or less practicing the "Good Neighbor" policy with the Federation,I would love to see Martok deposed by a new Klingon Emperor who hates the Federation,Hates the Romulans, and who wants to lead the Empire into a glorious new era of conquest.

This new Klingon leader can't be your typical Trek villain. He should be smart, cunning, charismatic, and tactically brilliant.A match for even Jean-Luc Picard on his best day.He also shouldn't be totally evil, simply very Klingon in his thinking.

And at the end of the movie he can't be truly defeated or killed, simply checked for the moment (to pave the way for further development of this new direction for the Klingons).

Maybe he could conquor the Romulans (as in Q's anti-time future),and the Federation tries to aide the Romulans. We could even have Spock appear.Maybe even Kirk and Scotty.(I know it isn't canon, but Kirk survived his "death" in Generations in the novels...though,not in the book ST:Generations).

    Just an idea...

  4.

I got a personal e-mail from therabidirishman this morning. He and warbird crewman joran's apartment got robbed, and their computer and just about everything else has been stolen.

therabidirishman wanted me to let everybody know,he may not be around for a while because of this, and he has given me the passwords and such to take over the FNHL as interim commish until he comes back.

I'll post the most current league standings tonight.

    Well,Smiley?

You don't really have to post the day-to-day scores, you know?I always check out my team sooner or later during the day,so I can stay pretty much up to date.Where has everybody gone, though? No trash talk.Little movement on the add/drop player list. The FNHL site has become a ghost town.

  5. A really spooky episode.Andrew Robinson delivered a great performance as a xenophobic Garak.I was almost certain watching this episode that Nog and Chief O'Brien had no chance against DS9's exiled "tailor".Just seeing the effects of the paranoia-inducing drug on Garak and the Cardassians makes you wonder how fierce Cardassians could be in hand-to-hand combat? There's a thought to keep Federation colonists along the DMZ up nights. :klingon:

  6. I am attending the University of Boston (with my very good friend, therabidirishman),but I was born and raised (and plan to return to) Arizona.

I've often thought that no place else in the world looks as gorgeous at dawn than the desert. That is a great picture,WCJ.
