Great.I'm sure my youngest daughter will be thrilled when I tell her tomorrow.

Last week was an anomaly, captainfreeman. And Oregon isn't alone. So far this year a lot of major BCS powers have been humbled by mid-major teams(and I'm not implying the Washington State Cougars aren't a BCS caliber team). This is shaping up to be one odd year for football at all levels of the game.

Hey,the Panthers rolled again today. Not bad for a team predicted to be the doormat of the NFC South.
Anybody else notice that the Carolina Panthers helmet looks a lot like the Michigan Panthers helmet from the USFL?Is their some type of connection?

I used to watch wrestling
I remember Ernie Ladd,Superstar Graham,Andre The Giant,The Texas Outlaws,and Bruno Sammartino.
Any of those guys still wrestling?I know Andre died a few years ago.I don't suppose they are still active, though.I haven't followed wrestling in many, many years.

The Toxic Avenger.I don't know what possessed me to watch this garbage when it came on the late-late show.Boredom,I guess.I'd hate to see the unedited version. This one was bad enough.

I know that over the past week as I've visited this site, one or both spiders were always here.Even during the one time I logged on and was all alone here, the hotbot spider was with me.

Betazoid.I'd love to have telepathy, and be empathic. Also,I have yet to see a single Betazoid woman who wasn't breathtaking.

Your sins are forgiven thee,my child. Now say a dozen Hail Marys,a dozen Our Fathers, and make a donation to the church.

No.You just can't have Lore without Data.It is the emotional conflict there, between brothers, and the obvious love for his brother that Data feels (no matter what he says),that makes the stories that these two are featured in compelling. At this point,I have been disappointed by 2 Trek motion pictures in a row.I'm becoming somewhat gunshy of them, and will wait and see what Paramount throws at us next time.Depending on the trailers and what I hear through the Trek grapevine I may or may not pay to see that film.I might just wait to rent it on DVD.

Flame War stories?Well,I have been attacked for my personal beliefs, political positions, and for various comments I have made at many message boards.I tend to ignore the abuse and concentrate on whatever topic is being discussed. There are times, however, that the other party is just so immature or ridiculous that I am drawn into a response of,"I can't believe a rational adult would say that!Or think that!etc, etcetra."If the site's administration is lax,I'll just leave.Or if the moderation is a bit biased,or mean-spirited,I'll leave, too. You run into all thse things from time to time, unfortunately.

Star Trek is a form of entertainment that I enjoy,in the same fashion that my wife loves her soaps. She would probably fall apart faster without her shows, than I would if Star Trek faded into obscurity. When it gets right down to it,no television program is very important to me,when compared to other things in my life.I think a great many Trek fans have lost sight of the fact that,in the end,Star Trek is a television show, period. Not much different than Lost In Space was,or Gunsmoke(my all time favorite show,EVER).

I'd sneak into sporting events, big celebrity shindigs(like the Oscars, etc),top secret government meetings(just to be a snoop),eat for free at fine resteraunts by showing up as john q. somebody, eating my fill, and then vanishing.I'd spy on people (I know,I'm disgusted with myself as well).Do all sorts of things. The one thing I wouldn't do is allow anyone(not even family) to know that I could do this. That knowledge could only put everything I hold dear in danger.

This is why I from time to time move closer to the anti-Enterprise crowd.I try to give the series a fair chance, but something always happens (like the new "sexier" direction),that makes me disgusted all over again.Depending on which day of the week I am asked, there are times I think cancelling this show would be better in the long run for Star Trek, than continuing on.Can anyone remember when Star Trek delivered a great story in an hour?A story that usually focused on some relevant social issue, and challenged the viewers to think?

Should have been Star Trek:Enterprise from the beginning.

Do I know the Rules of Acquisition by heart?Absolutely.Try me.Stardate:213726.9
State Rule 204!!!!!No Cheating!!!!!!
To the best of my knowledge that rule has never been spoken on screen.I only know the cannon rules that were mentioned on television.

I was so busy with other things,I only registered a team Saturday night. The draft was finished this morning, and I have a good "mid-major" team.I'll need to get my hands on at least 1 good WR,a good back-up QB,and three better defensive players than I was given (although,I may keep Urlacher).Right now there are no free agents and everybody is on waivers until the 28th,so I may have to make do with what I have.
QB Jake Plummer (Den)..............back-up QB Michael Vick (Atl)
WR Corey Bradford (Tex).............back-up WR Antuan Boldin (Arz)
WR Terry Glenn (Dal)..................back-up RB Kevin Barlow (SF)
WR Joe Horn (NO)........................back-up DEF San Francisco
RB Priest Holmes (KC)
RB Moe Williams (MN)...................D Brian Urlacher (Chi)
TE Kyle Brady (Jac)
K Matt Bryant (NYG)
DEF Indianapolis
I don't recall the name of 2 of the defensive players I was dealt (and the fact that I do not know them, shows how far down on the totem pole they are).As you can see I have some work to do to improve this team.Hopefully,I'll have a superbowl contender by week-5.

I play whenever possible.I love golf.

I rollerblade often.Usually with my family.

I love hockey.I attend a dozen or so Sharks home games every year, and will attend games in LA if the Kings or Ducks are involved in a really great match-up.My second favorite sport is football (american),I like the 49ers.

My daughters have been pleading with me to let them watch this film.I haven't decided yet. They are 16 and 14,and are quite mature for their ages, but I don't feel entirely comfortable with modern horror films. There tends to be extra profanity, sex, and violence to make up for a general lack of good storytelling,in most of them.

Silly question. But I'm game.Okay,I say Superman wins this easily. So many bad guys have tried the old kryptonite trick, that Superman knows many ways around it by now.
I always wondered why Lex Luthor never fashioned bullets out of kryptonite and simply shot old Supes.

I presently live in Santa Cruz,California with my wife and three children.I am an American.

I have always viewed the characters on Star Trek as simply characters on a television show that I happen to enjoy watching. From time to time I will become particularly attached to a certain actor/actress and will begin looking for other films or shows they have worked on.But if Star Trek went away tomorrow,I would go on.It would be upsetting, though.
