  1. Lore was simply a marvelous TNG villain. Thanks in large part to Brent Spiner's interpritation of the character, and his "evolution" of the character.Lore did not remain a stagnate villain, more or less the same from appearance to appearance,he always had a purpose,a different motivation, and a well thought-out plan.I loved that.

  2. An interesting character,no doubt. But a character far short of Jean-Luc Picard's on-screen presence.Perhaps Patrick Stewart could have further refined locutus, and made him a great recuring villain for TNG.Who can say?I am happy that Stewart, who did indeed have misgivings about remaining a part of TNG,chose to remain on board.I do not believe I would have been as satisfied with an Enterprise commanded by Riker,as I was with the Enterprise firmly under Picard's worthy leadership and direction. Also,I loathed Shelby. So,I am quite happy that things remained more or less as they had been, after Best of Both Worlds concluded.

  3. I always found Troi's outfits very flattering of her physique, and attractive.I even liked the infamous intergalactic cheerleader uniform from the first season. But all of this, could just be a result of my own attraction to the character and my appreciation of her beauty, and the character's personality.I must say, however, that I did think she looked fantastic in Generations, wearing the standard duty uniform.

Marina Sirtis is an extraordinary woman.

  4. I have written fan fiction for many, many years. And not only Star Trek, but various others as well (Godzilla,Highlander,Star Wars, stories based in the world of George Romero's "Living Dead" trilogy, etc).Writing has always been very theraputic for me.A great way to relieve stress.I have also had short stories published (nothing major).A few in my college's paper(long ago),others in local "bootleg" Trek 'zines, and at various internet sites...most of which, are, unfortunately no longer available.

I am currently working on 2 stories. One,based on Gamera (another of Japan's Kaiju "Giant Monsters"),and one based on Romero's Dead world. That last was intended to be a short story, with characters based on people I know personally,in my hometown(I plan on giving it to one of those friends as a birthday gift),but stories sometimes take on a life of their own.And this one has since grown to 300+ pages, and I do not feel I am even half finished with it.

I find I am always working on something.

  5. I voted for the Area 51 scientist from Independence day. That is one of my favorite films,if a little overly optimistic about humanity's chances in a real-world defense scenario against such alien agressors.I have Master of Disguise on DVD,but have only watched it once with my children.I hated it.they loved it.And,I have not yet seen Phenomenon.

  6. Simply a marvelous decision by those concerned to write this into the series and the bashir character's past.I was always a fan of the brilliant young doctor, who seemed (early on) to have a perpetual case of foot-in-mouth disease, and a knack for rubbing people the wrong way.But after this revelation was made,it made bashir a far more complex and interesting character.

  7. A very interesting question. And not a question I can easily or truthfully answer, since for various reasons I would choose to be each one of the major characters. But,if I must select only a single individual, then I believe I would be Rom.Rom was a very gentle natured, honest, hard working, and courageous Ferengi. He loved his Moogie, loved his son, loved his good woman,Leeta, and was an highly intelligent and humble person.I would like to be able to say the same things of myself.I'm not certain that Rom will manage to long remain Grand Nagus,as he is far too honest a Ferengi (despite his occasional lapses into "true" Ferengi nature)

to satify all those in the Alliance who would profit from his rule. And this is unfortunate.Still, perhaps he will have a good life,Nagus or not.

  8. I was happy whenever DS9 focused an episode or episodes on the Dax symbionts' past hosts.I find the Trills to be among Star Trek's most fascinating species.I also enjoyed the Mirror Universe theme. The Intendent was a very intriguing character, and so opposite to Kira Nerys. In a way,I found that I was somewhat more fond of the Intendent than Nerys.Perhaps, because she was so completely evil, and there was such a simplicity to her nature.I'm not altogether certain.Though,of course,I rooted for the "good" guys everytime they found themselves pulled into the Mirror Universe, either willingly or otherwise.Another excellent theme focused on Julian Bashir and the other genetically enhanced "super men".I loved each and every member of that little group.

  9. Andrew Robinson is a superb actor, and he made Garak one of the most intriguing Trek characters ever.I was and am quite fond of DS9's resident Tailor, and was always delighted when an episode featured him.I feel the writers utilized the Garak character brilliantly during the Dominion War storyline.

  10. I thought his clothing was pretty bad early on; they were basically one piece jump suits. Later on when they added vests and what not it was actually one of the better civilian outfits in Star Trek, outside of Enterprise.

I am in agreement with ~Crims~,on this question.

  11. I suppose my decision would have to be based on my experiences with past hosts. As I personally, have only ever been "me" (just an average person, with an average job, etc) I would probably want someone with a more exciting lifestyle, like a Starfleet officer,or an entertainer of some sort.Perhaps,if I had already experienced a life or lives as this sort of a person,I would want something else. So,I can't answer truthfully.
