  1. Yeah, I thought it was goofy too. In fact, I really didn't like it. All I wanted to know was "what did Enterprise win?" And I was glad to see T'Pol win favorite female hottie. If she could pull that off in her old clothes and with that terrible old haircut (I looked good up until this season) then she can definately pull in the votes this year! She is some of the hottest stuff around! Also, last year Picard was nominated for favorite hero. I think he lost because TNG is long gone and Nemesis was a bit of a failure. Archer is up to the plate this time, and "oh boy", with his new 'tude I think he could win!

  2. Wow, I'm amazed you all get the Space Channel. It's based in Toronto near me so I didn't think you'd all be getting it. Great channel it is! Anywho, I put in my votes about a week or two ago. I voted for each and every Enterprise related option! I really do hope they win in all the categories. It might help UPN think more of the show. Of course, if it was cancelled this year (which I'm sure it wont) the spacey's would be too late to discourage such an event.

  3. These are all good ideas, but I thought that the Human/Vulcan/Andorian alliance was suppose to be a result of the Romulan war who found the UFP after defeating their common enemy.

Good point. But in a way the humans and vulcans already have an alliance. Perhaps, the Romulan war forces them to work together more. After the war maybe they say to each other "Wow, we work good together. We should form a permanent alliance." Feasible?

  4. Yes, they control the turbolift. You will notice that in TOS they did not have voice activated turbolifts. Instead they had the "twist handles".

As for not having windows, I think it was a matter of budget and the difficulty of making a star backgroud. Yea, that's right, the couldn't even do that easily back then.

  5. About that little piece that sticks out at the front of the saucer section. I didn't think it did stick out but rather ended at the edge of the saucer. Or was that just my imagination? Anywho, I'm impressed with it. It might be interesting to see what it would look like with real colors and not computer colors (ie: blue nacells and red bussard collectors)

  6. All I know is, antimatter engines in real life is around 60% of light-speed.

An anti-matter engine is around the speed of light? What does that mean? As with any engine, the more mass you have to move with the engine, the slower the resulting acceleration and velocity. So, in order for that statement to have any meaning whatsoever, you have to tell us what it is that it would be pushing. If it were an atom, or maybe a molecule, I could believe that it could get the atom up the 60% of light speed ©. Also important is the duration of the acceleration. An anti-matter engine that accelerates a particle for only one second will not acheive the same results for one that pushes a particle for 10 seconds. So again, I ask you, what is it that you're pushing (mass) and for how long?

  7. Wow, you've been here so long... and now you're leaving. That's a shame. But I understand. I had to leave once as well. I came back though. But I might end up leaving again when I move out. I just don't think I'll have time then. Well, I'm not sure how I started talking about myself, but I wish you the best of luck with everything! Bye Kyalia!

  8. I'd let the senior staff walk into the holodeck. Then when they walk out it would make it just an illusion thus they would only think there were off the holodeck (just like Sherlock Holmes' nemesis did) While they would be trapped in the illusion I would use the voice of a hologram of Picard on another holodeck to summon other groups of officers to the holodeck thus trapping them. When others start to realize something weird is going on I'd transport them to the holodeck. Then, I'd wait till Picard uses his command codes within the holodeck and take over the ship for myself. I'd then find a nice planet and beam them down to it and then said away on wings of warp power!

  9. No that's not what I mean. All I'm saying is if there is no leads (useable evidence) then how can you find someone. If that was the only case to worry about they'd keep trying, but there are other lost people, whom have hope. The truth of the matter is that most investigations are not successful. It's not like on CSI where investigators solve the problem everyday. Sometimes, there is simply nothing to work with. That's real life. But they do give it their best effort.

  10. "after reading several books"

"when a queens body is destroyed the royal protocol is then transfered via the hive mind into a temporary queen"

Several books eh? That would make the information non-canon unless it is a techincal manual or something like that.

Also, about that temporary queen. Picard meets the Alice Krige version as Locutus. She is killed. He then meets her again in First Contact and kills her. Janeway then meets the Susanna Thompson version. Eventually, in Endgame, Janeway meets the Alice Krige version. Perhaps the Susanna Thompson version was just a temporary queen that was made out of a random species 125 drone.

  11. To answer your 3rd question:

Well, being a Police Foundations student, I think I can say with some degree of surety that the police officers assigned to that case would have a very hard time. The would not just assume that she ran away because when a police officer always assumes the worst in a case such as that. That way, they will not dismiss a good lead if it comes their way. However, because everyone involved in her disapearance would also be a big mystery to them, the case would go cold very quickly. Then they would move on to something else.

To answer your 1st question: No they could not repopulate the species because the gene pool is far too limited. I believe you would need about 20 wales or more to re populate. However, with the technology of the 23rd century it would be possible to clone them.

  12. Seems like he is unfamiliar with puters

No I'm pretty good with computers actually. I was editing my profile today and came across the drop down box to add or change a mood. I had simply never bothered to go find it before. However, I didn't put a mood on because I don't wanna clutter it all up. Left out the flag option as well.

Oh and the person above me is ranting about how someone is fighting with Q stole my bike. :)
