  1. I have to write a process analysis essay for English and I want to do on how an episode of Star Trek is made. Unfortunatley I can't find any links. Can anyone here help me? it would be greatly appreciated. But it has to be today!

  2. Did you notice...

    Click for Spoiler:

-Hoshi's quarters have windows which supports 'Flight or Fight' and contradicts 'Fallen Hero' (Apparently in Fallen Hero her quarters have no windows)

-Archer spends a lot of his free time in the situation room? (Not suprising)

-Archer seemed excited about the second sphere? (First time in a while we've seen him excited).

-Phlox feels he keeps too much bottled up?! (I don't even want to know what other Denoublians are like)

-Malcolm thought he saw a Xindi-Insectoid in his quarters? (Maybe the stress Trip was talking about in Impulse is getting to Malcolm)

-Tarquin's abode had the exact same stained glass windows as the section of the Romulan Senate where Shinzon and Picard dine in Nemesis? (They can be seen when Hoshi is in his home in her mind)

-It is Starfleet regulation for Captain's to be present on all first contact missions? (Makes sense, good reason for Archer and Kirk to go on away missions but obviously changed later on)

-Hoshi is going to keep a phase pistol under her pillow? (Why does that seem like a Malcolm thing?) (Or at least James Bond)

-This episode did a lot to develop Hoshi's character? (Being alone most of her life, her new found assertiveness when dealing with Tarquin)(Great performance by Linda Park)

-Only one in 50 million people among Tarquin's people are telepathic and are considered a threat? (Sounds like the Devore from 'Counterpoint' (VGR)

-Hoshi has studied Medieval Klingon? (WHere did she get her hands on that?)

-Hoshi's telepathic vision was pretty much a clip show? (I still liked it)

-That Stair anomaly was awesome?! (How are they going to fix that?)

-Pod 1 took another beating? (Yeesh, Kirk has trouble keeping crewmen alive, Archer has a hard time keeping his shuttles intact)

-There are over 50 spheres? (Aye-Carumba!)

-This episode links directly to the Shipment? (Next new episode airing in two weeks, I've read spoilers)

  3. Ok yeah Soyuz and Miranda are basically the same but I like to be technical. Also, yeah there is a Federation ship destroyed by the cube's explosion, but I think its a Steamrunner class (again being technical) but an Akira does fly by the screen after the explosion.

  4. Ok, Kim is working at CTU with season which is how she meets Chase, Jack's new partner. I'm not sure what happened to Sherry Palmer. Senator Kelley is a new character the guy was interrogated in season 2 was Rager Stanton (played by Harris Yulin, he was in that DS9 episode 'Duet').

  5. There were a few ships named:

Comm chatter names the Bozeman (Kelsey Grammer provided the voice of Bateson), the Endeavour, the Madison, and the Lexington.

Other ships named by the Encyclopedia: Thunderchild, Appalachia, Budapest, Yeager, and maybe a couple others.

  6. I'm so glad that Palmer didn't die. He is an amazing character, an honest, hard-working, likeable leader, I think they originally planned for him to die but thankfully decided against it. I'd vote for him in a second. The following is the basic premise for this season:

    Click for Spoiler:

It begins three years after the attempt on Palmer. Jack Bauer is now the head of a CTU department which is under the same roof as another CTU department run by Tony Almeida. Jack has a new partner, Chase who has been secretly dating his daughter. Also, Jack did have a relationship with Kate Warner but nothing materialized and they've broken it off. Palmer is alive and well and is now running for re-election against Senator Kelley.

Anyway, time for the real action. Jack has spent the last six months to a year undercover with a narco-terrorist, Ramon Salazar. Salazar is does business with terrorist cells all over the world and he's now behind bars, thanks to Jack, who did some very bad things to himself in order to nail Salazar. Jack's health is now in jeopardy.

Salazar's associateswant him freed and they threaten to release an outbreak of PNP (Pneumonic Plague, I believe). An outbreak of this virus would be nothing short of the end of the world. So now it is up to Jack and Chase to stop it. And here's the preview:

    24 Season 3 Preview

  7. Did you notice...

    Click for Spoiler:

-'One day earlier...?" (Obvious but I think it was a nice tough).

-The crew has been skipping meals due to work and stress and morale is down? (Odd, because the mess hall usually looks pretty full when we see it, at least during the day)

-T'pol mentions 'transponder frequency' something mentioned quite commonly on other series? (At least on TNG)

-The Asteroids are full of Trellium D but are still affected by anomalies? (Could be a goof but could only refined Trellium D is able to insulate against anomalies)

-The Van'karra was sent in to fine the Seleya? (Nice connection to the Expanse) (For those don't recall, the Van'karra is the ship which Soval showed footage to Archer).

-Vulcan corridors look similar to corridors on Enterprise and later Federation ships? (Just with a distinctly Vulcan ship).

    - A lot of the Vulcans carried some sort of strange 'axe' weapon?

-Vulcans moved fast but did not seem to be a great deal stronger? (Maybe I didn't notice of course those scratches on Archer looked pretty deep)

-The Zombie Vulcans could still operate guns and control panels? (Intelligence not affected or some sort of instinct?)

-The Seleya hasn't already suffered a core breach and still has life support? (Maybe not that farfetched, the Promellain battle cruiser in Booby Trap still has intact but of course, different circumstances)

-Both shuttlepods took a beating? (Looked like Bonnie and Clyde took out Pod 2)

-The ancient Vulcans nearly destroyed themselves? (I know they were violent but I don't remember ever hearing that)

-In the first five episodes of the season Reed has had Archer and T'pol snap at him?

-All the departments did a great job in this episode, make-up, special effects, set design etc?

-T'pol was willing to sacrafice herself for Enterprise? (Those crazy emotions...)

-Phlox has a bad habit of talking durig movies, even in dreams? (Seems about right for the character).

-The Late Jerry Fleck was the first assistant director?

This episode could have been called "Night of the Living Vulcans" and no one wold have noticed? (Is this a spoiler?)

  8. it wouldn't really be folding but the current collective bargaining agreement of the NHL expires at the end of this year, so there could be a work stoppage, like the one MLB avoided last year. If it drags on maybe a chance of folding, but very very slim. I have a feeling that they will manage to get something done, I mean if baseball could do it, anyone can.

  9. A very sad day for the hockey world indeed. :look: I thought he was going to be okay from what I'd heard, that surgeries had gone well and such. I feel so sad about this and I can't even imagine what Dany Heatley is going through right now. He killed his teammate and now he may never play hockey again is convicted of vehicular homicide. Two young players with their futures snatched away by one act of stupidity. Really makes you appreciate the fragility of life.

  11. oh, one more:

    Click for Spoiler:

-The only crewmen scanned by Rajiin were those exposed to the alien virus in Extinction (I'm going to assume she didn't actually scan the security officer since it would have taken too long, she probably just incapacitated him with her powers). Could this mess up the Xindi effort to build a bio weapon? Then maybe Archer could expose them to the virus and it would affect them to a greater degree. This could get interesting.

  12. Did you notice?

    Click for Spoiler:

-The Xindi-Aquatics seem to be the voice of reason in the Xindi council? They seem very cautious and non-confrontational. Hope they focus on them for an ep sometime soon.

-Crewman Cutler is still on Enterprise? (unseen, but she broke her arm when an anomaly moved through the Exobiology lab)

-The Reptilians and Insectoids seem to share a certain opinion (a bio-weapon) while the Sloths and Humanoids favour the other weapon with the Aquatics seemingly in the middle?

-Archer is having NIGHTMARES from Extinction and skin irritation? (Nice hold over)

-One of the shops in the alien marketplace looked like the kiosk where Jar Jar ate the 'product' in Star Wars: Episode 1? (When Archer is talking to the yellow pointy-eared guy

-Trellium A is common, Trellium D is hard to synthesize? (Those miners must make a fortune mining it!)

-They trade spices for important information? (Man, B'rat Ud got taken, but hey to each his own.)

-B'rat Ud smells through his forehead, apparently? (Interesting)

-Archer seems to have toughened up and became a better fighter? (Zjod got beat pretty bad)

-Archer looked unfortable dining with Rajiin? (Understandable)

-Archer had what looked like a CD rack on his desk? (On the right before Rajiin walks in)

-Archer seemed to be flirting with Rajiin? (That may not have happened)

-HOSHI seemed to be flirting with Rajiin? (That may not have happened) (Rajiin's power over them was probably related to her 'complex retinal structure')

-This is the second time in as many weeks we've seen inside Archer?

-Vulcan physiology looked pretty strange, but cool too?

-phase pistols seem to have become standard issue? (All the security officers, Archer and the engineering crew all had one, way up from 15 in season one)

-Xindi ships looked like a cross between Son'a and Breen ships? (Still looked cool)

-The Xindi have some sort of vortex propulsion system? (Some form of transwarp?)

-the Xindi had advanced weaponry? (That bio weapon with the spore things was pretty cool)

Another thought I had unrelated to Rajiin: could the Vulcan nerve pinch be realted to Vulcan neuropressure? Think about it. The pinch could be the stimulation of a powerful neural node which causes relaxation to the point of unconsciousness. See you next week after: IMPULSE.

  13. great moves! Brodeur is the best goalie in the league and if you can get him for Cechmanek take him and don't look back. Bouwmeester is a good young player and should serve your team well, McCarty is a tough player who has had some recent alcohol problems but keep him, he's a role player for the Red Wings. I'd say your team is up to about an A. Much stronger goaltending, better reserves, same great defense, and the likeable and dependable set of forwards. Nice job!
