  1. A-Rod had a good year and it is hard to say that he didn't deserve it. I would have preferred Carlos Delgado to win and he probably would've if those two writers hadn't left him off their top ten. He may not be the top player in the league but I think he ranks within the top ten.

As fot the NL MVP I think Albert Pujols should have received it, instead of Barry Bonds.

  2. I was thinking about this recently (boy, a lot of my posts start like that). Anyway have you noticed that in some instances when an alternate futures are seen deaths are prevented but others caused.

    Here are the best examples:

ALL GOOD THINGS- Troi is dead by 2395 and Data is alive but in the real timeline Data is dead and Troi alive

THE VISITOR- in the future created by Sisko's death Dax is alive but when Sisko lives Dax dies.

I just find this interesting because it sort of gives you a choice. Like would you rather have Dax live and Sisko die or Sisko live and Dax die. It seems both alive is impossible so one has to. Can you guys think of other examples?

  3. Personally, I could not be any happier with the Cy Young winners. As a Blue Jay fan I was very happy to see Halladay win the Cy Young. He had a great year and was one of the best pitchers all year. As a Canadain, I was also very happy to see Gagne win. He is easily the best relief pitcher in the game. What do you guys think? Agree? Disagree? Feel someone else was more deserving?

When Malcolm shot T'pol to take away the cowboy's advantage was anyone reminded of the simulation in Die Another Day. Bond walks into a room and this terrorist has M and has a gun to her head. He shoots M (only giving her a flesh wound), and then shoots the terrorist. But the funniest thing about that seen in Enterprise was that Malcolm seemed to check T'pol's pulse. Still a nice job by Reed.

  5. I thought that North Star was a pretty entertaining episode. A great concept (even though it has been done to an extent) and its great to see the crew in a different way. I thought Archer looked pretty cool in the cowboy get up.

The main thing that I didn't like was that this episode did nothing to contibute to the Xindi arc, but that is also refreshing. All in all, entertaining, interesting, and refreshing. Gets a 7/10 in my book.

  6. I'm wondering who deserves a promotion on Enteprise. I can't include Trip, T'pol or the Captain because a promotion would take them off of the ship (Trip and T'pol to Captain, Archer to Commodore). Phlox also has no rank so he can't be included. So its down to Malcolm, Hoshi and Travis. I listed two ranks because I'm not sure if Lt. Commander and Lt. Junior Grade exist on Enterprise.

Anyway, I'd vote for Malcolm. He's done a lost of good work on the ship and I think he's in line for some recognition. (Plus, we know that he could have been promoted in the future.

  7. I'm getting an Archer ornament for Christmas. I was with my parents when they bought it and I noticed a screw up on the box. Its under postion or something it says: Captain of the FEDERATION starship Enterprise. I wonder if that will increase its value???

This episode is easily the best thing to come from Enterprise. It was so much larger in scope and the future scenes were amazing. Earth's destruction was phenomenal (is that appropriate to say?).

I think it had some parallel with Year of Hell and Future Imperfect but it took it so far beyond them and added so much. Amazing graphics, great drama, a compelling and interesting story and great references (shran, shields, Ceti Alpha 5). An all around great episode. 10 out of 10. Hard to top but I think that there is a chance it can be done.
