  1. Personally, I'm cheering for the Leafs. I love the team (not the owners (cheap)) so very much. Been a fan for 17 years. Can they win it? God, I hope so.

From an objective point of view I think Vancouver could take it or maybe Anahiem, Detroit, and as much as it pains me to say it...Ottawa.

But I think that if the Leafs defense can come together with the rookies and possibly another acquisition they will have a legitamite shot.

I also like the Oilers and I think they're a solid team, don't like them as much as the Leafs, my hometown team (I'm from Cambridge).

  2. My name came from the television series 24, obviously. I love that show and so when I signed up here I decided to use Jack Bauer because I admire his determination. Plus, since watching 24, Kiefer Sutherland has become my favourite actor (Man, I hope he wins the Emmy tonight!). Also, for anyone who used to post at the old Startrek.com boards, I was lt_cmdr_laforge because Geordi is my favourite character.

  3. "What Price Honor" is a NOVEL. It is a well established fact that only what is seen on screen is canon. The novels are not considered to be fact. That goes back a while. Crewman Fuller is the first casualty of the NX-01. Now who needs cadet training?

Yeah, it was a little brutal but I think it was intended to give us a glimpse of how the "weight of the world" is waring on Archer. He can't tip toe anymore, he has to use brute force. But that is not unheard of in Star Trek. In Equinox Janeway used a similar tactic as Korthedaharmaster pointed out. What was ironic was that Janeway used it as a result of her morals which was driving her to catch Ransom while Archer abandoned his. I don't know if I like the "new" Archer but I think it is necessary to show him like that.

First off, I going to state that "a" crewman Fuller has been mentioned before in Shockwave part 2. However, that Fuller was a female crewman who mostly kept to herself. So the Fuller who died tonight was a completely different crewman. I guess Enterprise once had two Fullers and now one. Having two crewman with the same name is not unheard of. On Voyager there were two Kaplans (one deceased) and two Ashmores. Anyway, I would just like to take this opportunity to mourn Fuller (despite the obvious fact that he's fictional), the first casualty on the NX-01. A faceless victim of the Delphic Expanse.

I realize that you all may already know this but since this is kind of my territory I thought it was pertinent to elaborate on the episode. Plus, I think this post gives me 100.

And finally for the record. The manifest now sits at:

    -44 crewmen given last names

-20 crewmen listed as cast but unnamed

    -7 MACOs with names

Do they specify Fuller's gender? On my mainfest Fuller is female I believe originally mentioned in Shockwave 2. Mostly kept to herself. Anyway, this is waht I was waiting for, a death. I'm not morbid but it had to happen sooner or later (plus when crewmen die they say their names, which will help the manifest). Anyway, any other crewmen mentioned?

  7. Actually, there have been no deaths among the crew of the NX-01 since the series began. Which is odd when you think about how many crewman died under Captian Kirk or the other captains but with Kirk you knew someone would die. Anyway, the only real "death" has been of crewman Daniels but he's no dead so I merely listed him as inactive. If you can find proof of any crew death please don't hesitate to send it to me but I'm postive there are no deaths established by canon sources. Thanks for your input, though.

  8. I'm not putting a spoiler here because I assume we're past that point, but let me know if I should.

Okay, so we were lead to believe that Humanity or possibly the Federation would destroy the Xindi homeworld in 26th century. But now we have learned that this is not the case because the homeworld has already been destroyed. How? we don't know. But the Xindi council scenes show that their "future is at stake". So now what is the threat they see from humanity in the future? Any ideas?

I don't know what the threat is but my theory is that the "Humanoid figure" fed the Xindi the information and technology. The time for the construction of the mysterious component is about right. IMO, the "humanoid figure" is a Romulan who is attempting to pit Earth and the Xindi against each other in an effort to destroy them both. I suppose he is attempting to give the Romulans the power in the quadrant.

And how about this from 'The Expanse', Dr. Ferat asks if the person he spoke to was humanoid. Archer says he's not sure. Ironically, James Horan is credited as "Humanoid figure". :force:

    Anyway, any thoughts?

  9. I was watching the Pegasus last night and I got to thinking, there have been a lot of Oberth class starships that have been destroyed in Star Trek. I guess they make a good derelict or something anyway check out this list:

    -U.S.S. Grissom

Destroyed by Klingons in Star Trek 3

    -U.S.S. Tsiolkovsky

Destroyed by Stellar fragment and Psi 2000 virus in The Naked Now

    -U.S.S. Vico

Destroyed by Black Cluster in Hero Worship

    -U.S.S. Pegasus

Destroyed by experimental phasing cloak device in The Pegasus

    -U.S.S. Raman

Trapped in the atmosphere of Marijne 7 in Interface

    -U.S.S. Yosemite

Caught in a plasma streamer in Realm of Fear

    -U.S.S. Bonestell

Destroyed at Wolf 359 in The Best of Both Worlds 2

About the only Oberth classes that weren't seen destroyed were the Cochrane ,the Copernicus and the one that picked up Enterprise-D crew in Generations but that could have been one of the other two. Anyway, I just thought it was odd that almost every time we've seen one of these ships they've been destroyed or severely damaged. Oh well, they're kind of ugly anyway.

  10. I'm talking about a make up feature that appears to be common on all the races but its hard to tell on the CGI Xindi. Does anyone else know what it is?

    Click for Spoiler:

It's most noticable on the humanoid, but all the Xindi have a ridges that on their cheek bones. I believe it is to show a connection .
