In Shockwave we saw Earth a devastated wasteland. Could this be a result of Archer missing from the timeline and being unable to stop the Xindi's second attack? Just a theory.

Okay, there are now some additions to the manifest. Specifically in the area of the Military Assault and Command Operations Team:
-Hayes, Major, Active,
-Kemper, Sergeant, Active,
-Chang, Corporal, Active,
-Romero, Corporal, Active,
-McKenzie, Unknown, Active,
There is also mention of a crewmember named Palmer but it is unspecified if he is a "MACO" or a regular crewman. Only time will tell...

This may just be a fluke but the World Trade Center and Temporal Cold War have same initials only rearranged: WTC vs. TCW.

Thanks, it just caught me off guard.

I found this on the IMDB. Does anyone know exactly what it is? I think it may be a theme ride.

Thanks everybody!

In "The Catwalk" Archer mentions that the first Vulcan ambassador to Earth was Solkar. Solkar was the name of Spock's great grandfather! Maybe the writers are paying attention to the Trek timeline...

I don't recall a Constitution in Horizon. The only names that cannot be used for the NX-02 are Enterprise (Duh), Shenandoah, and Intrepid because they've all been used.
-
In the Voyager episode "Timeless" the future Geordi LaForge was captain of the U.S.S. Challenger, Galaxy Class. I also like the name Yorktown because it has been associated with trek for a long time. I would not be suprised if they name the NX-02 Bozeman because that's Braga hometown and he's thrown it in there so many times.

An interesting choice. There are so many options. I have a feeling that they will continue with the space shuttle names so it will likely be one of these:
-Endeavour
-Atlantis
-Discovery
And from those I'd choose Endeavour.
Of course they could extend that list to include Columbia and Challenger to commemorate to the lost shuttles but I don't see B&B doing that.
They may also choose to commemorate the first warp flight using:
-Cochrane
-Phoenix
-Bozeman
I'd choose Phoenix.
And finally one of the most popular choices I've seen on other boards: Kobiyashi Maru (Hope I spelled that right).

If anyone wants a complete list of the mistakes in the Star Trek movies you can check out Movie Mistakes.com. (Ok you probably already know about it but hey, this post gets me to Lieutenant.)

Well, if a character does decide to leave I think it would be a good idea to replace that character with Shran. His character could add some very interesting interpersonal relationships and would show the beginnings of the Federation's foundation.

I often spend my spare time on the weekends watching the DVDs of M*A*S*H's first three seasons. I love how it can combine the seriousness of war with comedy. Its difficult to do and M*A*S*H did it well.
-
I wouldn't mind see someone get killed off just to add some dimension to the other characters after the loss.
-
I figure the future guy is either a Romulan or an agent of the Dominion who is attempting to prevent the founding of the Federation in order to gain an advantage at a later time.

I'm not complaining, I just realized how much stuff blows up. Its cool.
-
I'd have to agree with VaBeachGuy. Also doesn't it seem like B&B don't trust the rest of their staff to write the big important shows, like finales or debuts?
-
:) Sorry, but how could you not know? You posted on the pre-Expanse thread.

I was thinking the other day about the large explosion in 'The Expanse'. (I assume that is common knowledge by now so I will forego the spoiler alert but if the administrator of this board wishes to put it on I'm perfectly fine with that). Anyway, it made me realize that in almost every season finale or debut since the third season TNG debut there has been a large explosion or explosions. Allow me to demonstrate:
TNG
-The Best of Both Worlds: The Borg cube is blown to pieces
-Redemption: I don't think there are many but there's a war so there must be some.
-Time's Arrow: They cavern in Devidia II is destroyed
-Descent: The new Borg ship is destroyed by a solar flare.
DS9:
-In the Hands of the Prophets: Schoolroom is toast
-The Jem'hadar: Bye, Bye Odyssey
-The Way of the Warrior: Lots of Klingon ships destroyed
-Call to Arms/Time to Stand: the Domnion War begins and stuff blows up
-Tears of the Prophets: The Allies lose Chin'toka and many ships
-What you Leave Behind: End of the war, more explosions
VGR:
-Basics: Tierna blows up and the volcano erupts, not to mention the explosion on the bridge
-Scorpion: So many explosions, Borg, 8472
-Equinox: Equinox gets blown up
-Unimatrix Zero: Destroyed Unimatrix Zero and many Borg ships plus the Delta Flyer
-Endgame: The Borg bite it with plenty of explosions
ENT:
-Shockwave: the Paraagan colony is decimated
-The Expanse: Florida, Cuba, Venezuala, and 7 million reduced to ash by the Xindi
As you can see this does not apply to every season but most seasons like to end or begin with a bang. (I know, that was a bad pun)
-
Also, the signal was still being transmitted from the transport. It would be inefficient to reassimilate a new ship and resend the signal you were already almost finished sending.

No he's evil. So nobody new. Maybe this new commando team will be more forthcoming with their names.

Weren't Ventaxians in "Devil's Due (TNG)" or a similarly named race?
