  1. It has been pointed out to me that we have 2 "off topic" boards, this one and the Ten Forward board. I didn't intend to have 2 boards that have the same function but that's what we have.

I can merge the 2 into one board by moving all of these threads into the Ten Forward board or I can keep things as they are. Before making a major move like that I wanted to ask everyone what you would rather I do, so go ahead and vote. I'll keep the poll going for a couple days and then go with the majority vote.

Also some additions have been suggested to me and I'll be adding at least one more board, maybe a couple. So factor this into your vote, the more boards we have the better things can be, but at the same time the more boards we have the more overwhelming it can be too.

  2. I agree, even though I REALLY REALLY want a DS9 movie. I Q movie would be good. They could do some really good graphics in a movie for Q.

Then again I think Odo would be great in a movie too. lol

  3. I remember the "He" remark too. It also seems to me that they showed him in one sceen too. Just from about the chest down though. They'll never show him I bet. Kind of like in "Home Improvement" how they never showed Wilsons full face. It'll be a "running gag" for the entire series.

  4. Kim did ok, but he wasn't really a "stand out". There was an Episode with him though that was really good. The one where he travels back to the site of Voyager's destruction and ends up sending a signal back to himself in the past and winds up saving the ship. That was a good episode.

  5. I agree with all of the above. I have watched all of DS9 probably 10 times completely through (I have every single episode on my hard drive, I love KaZaa!) and the addition of Worf was GREAT. And Laur, i know you hate Worf but he was one of my favorite's on DS9

We get deeper into Worf's character then on TNG but TNG was important for establishing Worf's background and personality. In Ds9 we get to see Worf start out as a loner, moving out to the Defiant to live alone. We see him as a father again when Alexander comes on the show. We see him as a medler when he interfears with Odo's job as head of security. We see him as a love struck Klingon in "Looking for par`Mach in All the Wrong Places" and then we see him as a lover and husband when he and Jadzia get married. Then we even get to see him as a mourning widower in season 7. There are so many ways that Worf was able to shine in DS9 that it's hard to put them all into one posting.

The more I think about it though, to say he was "better" in DS9 may not really be the right way to put it. It's just that the writers gave worf more attention and better stories. When you can get the DVDs and watch them and you will see what I mean.

  6. This is the first that I have heard of this.  My life mate usually catches such news tidbits, she's an avid CNN, MSN, USA Today junkie.  Could you post a link to where you saw the report please?  I am curious to know more details.

    Thank you.

When I posted this that was the report on TV but a few hours thy came out and said the Military was asking the reporters to hold off on calling it a Chem Weapons plant. They weren't 100% sure of what it was. Since then they have said there were no Chemicals there but here's a link to the story:

  7. I think a lot of us have differing views on the war, and the ability to argue those opinions is what America is all about. I find political debates to be quite fun actually (Frustrating at times but fun).

When it's all said and done though, we all are Star Trek fans and we all want to see a new movie made. Of course that brings up another dabate... DS9, Voyager or TNG? LOL

    I say DS9 all tha way! :) :)

  8. This is my first post and I could think of nothing better to discuss than my favorite episodes.

I agree with all the people that mention how "less good" the first 2 seasons are... also I think it is obvious that most fans really enjoy the Q episodes. I mean you dont bring back a non-cast character every season or two if people dont enjoy him. Anyway, here are my favs and why... feel free to respond and agree or disagree.

  9. Welcome to the board Indy. While I am just a little too young to remember seeing TOS first run I am a child of the 60's (Barely... 1969). Maybe I should make a special group called Honored Elders :) (DS9 fans know what that is).

  10. One thing you can do is add your Birthday but just make the year 1904 or 2002. I've looked into removing the year completely but I can't. By adding the false year it will allow your birthday to be on the birthday tracker but won't let the year be known.
