  1. Soldier

I was that which others did not want to be.

I went where others feared to go, and did what others failed to do.

I asked nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thought of eternal lonliness...should I fail.

I have seen the face of terror, felt the stinging cold of fear, and enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love.

I have cried, pained, and hoped.....but most of all, I have lived times others would say were best forgotten.

At least someday I will be able to say that I was proud of what I was.....

    A Soldier.

  2. I would not be surprised if the writers planned it. Their foresight in writing these series has seemed incredible to me. The character progression and development, it all takes a lot of planning. Did they envision this exact relationship (Married with child) I don't know but I would think they had some kind of plan in place from the start.

  3. Wow, that must have been an old posting. I remember posting something about her on ST.COM months ago (Yes that's me )

I never really liked her character and was utterly disappointed with the last 6 weeks of DS9 in that she was a major focus in a large portion of the episodes. Looking back on the first season I wish they had kept Kai Opaca, I liked that actress and her depiction of what a spiritual leader would be like.

  4. I chose Crusher.

The only time characters who appeared on a previous Trek works imo, is when they are covered in make-up, it is easy to suspend the disbelief that way. All I could see with Pulaski was that character see play on an OS episode. There is an actor who has played many different roles on TNG DS9 and maybe a VOY or two who (I know he has not been the only actor to play multiple roles.) really pulled it off because he was very different looking each time.

Jeffery Combs and Mark Alimo are a couple of good examples of characters that did it successfully. Another is James Cromwell, he's played several parts.

I myself didn't like Pulaski, her character had a bit of an arrogant nature. Mostly the episode that turned me off on her was Elementary Dear Data, that and the general way she treated Data as a "thing" rather then as a life form. I know she was written that way, but I didn't care for it.

  5. We have a couple of promotions to the rank of Commodore, Xeroc will be moderating the Science & Technology board and master_q will be moderating the Trivia board.

As we continue to grow and it gets harder for me to keep up with all of the activity there will be other promotions as well, in fact you can expect at least 2 more in the coming days (I've already contacted those crew members).

Help me in contragulating Xeroc and master_q.

  6. I have yet to see them all but from what I've seen I would have to say 'Blink of an Eye' is my favorite. I loved this episode a lot. It reminded me of 'The Inner Light' from Next Gen, which was also one of my favorites.

'Blink of an Eye' was just a great story.

I agree, Blink Of An Eye was a great story.

  7. Hi all

I live in a place called Bradford, in the north of England. ( Am i the only English person on this site.) I am 38 and married with 3 children. I used to watch TOS now and again in re runs but really became a fan with TNG. I tell everyone i love ST, and believe me i get a lot of stick for it but i don't care. My friends just don't understand, but luckily my brother and sister are as nuts about ST as i am. so I can "talk trek " to my hearts content with them.

My favourite series are TNG & DS9. I really didn't " get" Voyager, though i really liked some of the characters, and i am really enjoying Ent.

We have a few members here from the UK, so you aren't alone at all. I know fir sure Bakula Bird is from England.

  8. Was Tobin the evil one? If so, that could tie nicly into the ST6 story, even if the times do not line up perfectly.

The evil one is the one I would most like to see explored on ENT.

No, Tobin was the Nervous one that would bite his nails a lot. The Evil one is Torias Dax.
