  1. I left startrek.com message board because everyone argues and spews hate about one another.I love star trek (all but DS9,but I never really gave it a chance),enterprise is awesome,I love the idea of the borg dropping by.I will have many more opinions and ideas as I figure out this board. Thanks, Slap

Welcome to the board Slap! I too grew tired of the hate and slime being posted on ST.COM, that's the main reason I made this board. I look forward to your views, and I also look forward to converting you into a DS9 fan! :)

  2. I have to say that like I, like VaBeachGuy, have not yet been bored with an episode of ENT.  I mean, there have obviously been some that stand out way apart from others for being exceptional, but on the whole they have all been very entertaining...

I agree that Carbon Creek was excellent!  It was funny and interesting and it was very satisfying to see T'Pol in a plain old dress that she couldn't even button up right!  Made us regular girls feel ok about ourselves for a moment there!  It was a great story and was very well delivered and i would love to see more like it.  I just loved when Trip said 'Ok, so three Vulcans walk into a bar and come out with money and tv dinners!' or something to that effect... it really made me laugh, i love his one-liners! :D

That was good. It was more like this though, "So 2 Vulcans go into a bar hustle a few games of pool and come out with bags full of gorceries"?

    LOL

  3. Great that's what I was afraid of. Well its nice to meet you. I never would have thought so many kids thought Star Trek was so bad. I love it I would have thought somebody would have been younger than me. :D

Don't worry about being the youngest, from this side of the computer we all look like the same age.

I'm sure there's pleanty of young fans out there, but it's a matter of knowing we're here. Give it time.

  4. hello all how many of you know how many star trek movies there are? I'm not going to tell however which was the best one ever made in your opinion. :D

The Best Star Trek movie made IMO is Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, followed closely by First Contact and Undiscovered Country.

  5. I've herd his songs there ok it's just people say he was on crack and make him sound like god. If he is alive is there a reason he's hiding?

Elvis didn't use illegal drugs of any kind, he did abuse prescription drugs but that's a far cry from crack.

As for if he's alive or not, there's A LOT of debate about that. While I believe he died in 1977 there are plausible arguments to point to the possibility he is alive. As to why he would hide? Well, he wasn't like the "stars" of today. They can go out to dinner, or to the movies or whatever. Elvis wasn't able to do those things. Elvis was the kind of "Star" the stars screamed for and went wild for. All of the biggest stars of his time would ask for autographs and pictures and the like. So if the stars treated him like that imagine how every day people acted.

This is a man, that on a whims notice went to the White House. Didn't call first, just went. Went to the gates, told the secret service he wanted to see the President.... and got in! Not only did he get in to meet with Nixon, Nixon named him a Federal Agent of the DEA. While there Nixon gave him some small gifts as momentos of his visit. Elvis thanked him and then "suggested" that President Nixon also get some things for his bodyguards as well. Which Nixon did. Elvis then "suggested" that he might also get some things for his Bodyguards wives... Which Nixon did. Elvis had the President of the United States running errands for him IN the oval office! His (Elvis') bodyguards were astounded. After all this what do you think Nixon did? He asked for an autograph.....

Elvis is also one of the only Non-Secret Service people to be able to go into the Oval Office with a loaded gun (Which he gave to Nixon as a gift).

So don't think of Elvis like you might think of {insert modern stars name here}.

  6. No, it's Society Of The Dead. SOT is a fellow Eagls fan (Philadelphia Eagles) and he's also a fellow Trek fan. On the Eagles message board SOT's post count is more then our entire board all together (1741 posts as of this posting).

    wElcome Aboard!

And hey VaBeachGuy we'll eventually get there.. this is a new board!!

    -laur :D

He did all that in about 2 weeks... lol but then again the Eagles board has about 40,000 members.

  7. Something that never happens in Star Trek:

A console fails to blow up because of a highly sophisticated 24th century technology called a 'surge protector'

I think it is kind of cheesy when all the consoles blow up in a battle scene.  I mean the only reason they do it is to make it look cooler.  What do you think - too unrealistic or too cool???

Reply and share your opinion on this age-old quandry!

A surge protector will protect a computer from a surge of power, but if you multiply the surge of power above what the protector will cover, say 10x 50x or 100x, then you will have an explosion.

THis could be a possible explination for the explosions we see.

  8. Mine never came up I wrote like 3  0 at the old site and they never showed up here. My whole account was gone i had to start all over.

I went in and added everyones old post count to their post count here. Over on the old board it shows you posted 3 times, so your current count reflects those postings here.

  10. I think the best chance for a Voyager movie was killed before the series ended. Voyager getting home in the end kind of ended the possibilities for that particular story (The Voyager story) to go any further. Remember, there were a lot of outlaws that weren't part of Star Fleet on that crew. Would Star Fleet allow them to continue to serve? Would they want to continue to serve?

  11. Not to sound rude but why does everyone like elvis. Where I live no one speaks of him. He almost kindoff scares me. How did he get so famous? I know there the mystery of him being alive? I hope you aren't offended it just surprises how some people can't live without him and I never speak of him. :D

It isn't rude, some people don't like him.

Have you ever listened to his music? Chances arem that without Elvis your favorite form of music wouldn't be what it is now.

If you sit down and listen to his voice you will understand the purity in it. I am sure when you think of Elvis you think of the over weight man in a jumpsuit that liked fried peanut butter and banana sandwhiches. When I think of Elvis I think of his incredible voice.

Think about it, the man's been dead for 25 years and last year he had a #1 hit for 3 or 4 weeks. Then had a #1 album in a large number of countries all around the world for another 3 to 6 weeks. His albums have sold over a billion world wide and are translated into every language.

There was more to him then what you may have seen on the surface.

  12. Hey Boss,

You'd best go "under the knife" and relieve the pressure on those nerves. Just think, paid time off work!

    V.C.

I'm getting a little of that now, for the next 2 weeks (Till the 26th) I can only work 3 hours a day. On the 25th I'll see what the doctors say needs to be done.
