Realizing that other people's kids are incredibly boring, I still have to brag about the world's newest Trek fan:  Erika Catherine, my niece, was born Wednesday March 12 at 0937 in suburban Chicago.  She was 8 lbs, 14.6 oz, 19.5 inches long and looks exactly like my late paternal grandmother, her great-grandmother.

I have a hard time understanding y but i flippin HATE klingons.. except the ones that are half human .. i know y i hate Worf *Deanna/Worf Relationship* but other then that i dunno.. lol any one else feel like this?

I think it probably has a lot to do with your personality. Klingons are war-like and seek glory in battle. Deanna is more of a pacifist.

I was a soldier in the Army in my younger days, the youngest of 4 brothers and a militaristic kind of thinking more fits my personality. Not to say I'm a "War Monger" though.

I think that's the reason you don't like Klingons though. Does that sound logical? (Not that I'm a Vulcan here... lol )

i have no idea what Carpel Tunnel is!.. is it cureable.. are you not allowed to type alot for the rest of ur life? can u lift things?

Carpal Tunnel is basically nerve damage caused by doing the same action over and over. Like typing. My job has me typing 8 hours a day, then I come home and I'm on here typing too. At least here I can use 1 hand but at work I really have to use both. I just have to rest my left hand from typing otherwise I may need surgery to correct the nerve damage.

For the next 2 weeks I am only allowed to type 3 hours a day at work. So that means 3 hour work days

it looks good. how do you make those animations? are they makeable using macromedia dreamweaver mx?

I use SWISH 1.5 it's a simple Flash animation program. Really a good little program. I like the 1.5 version better then the newer versions though.

That is a condition caused by the curving of the wrist to type correctly, right?

Here is what I do, I hunt and peck keeping my wrists in line with my forearms, it is a little slower but my wrists almost never get sore.

how about one of those programs where you talk and it types for you, isn't dragon speak one, i think thats what it's called. OR your own typing monkey, eh?

The job I do requires that I type quite a bit and there's somewhat of a limit on the time I have for typing on each case (Credit card fraud). So taking longer to type really isn't something I can do, as for talking to the computer with a talk and type, I am usually talking to the person that has had fraud on their credit card at the same time I am typing so that wouldn't really work either. I may just have to take a couple weeks off of work to let it rest.

By the way, a new feature I added is the Communicator in the upper right of the messageboard. If you click it it takes you to your Inbox (Your Board Communiactions) of your PM's.

It's Sci-Fi, anything can happen. His body may be found floating... or just his head. B4 may short out needing a new head and poof... just add Data's head and he's back. Simplistic ways of them bringing him back, yes but it can be done.

But I too did not like them killing Data off after so many years of character development.

I'd like to know what happens when Sisko comes back.  Saw Avery Brooks in November at a Trek convention in Orlando, he said he'd not be adverse to doing one.

 

I'm Next-Gen'd out, just like I'm TOS'd out.  I miss the Klingons and the rest of the DS9 crowd.

I've thought about DS9, they have a space station on our side of the Worm hole, right? What about having one on the other side? They could start a movie on the newly christened DS10, Federation built station. This way they would have something new to explore, similar to having a new ship.

Just a thought

I do put a lot of time into the board, but it's all worth it when I see people log on and have a good time posting. At some point I plan to add a live chat feature but we need more members before I'll do that. Live chat's gonna cost me about $150 to add, which I'll just do a few hours OT at work to pay for once we're ready for it.

Ya I agree, Bakula is good. I'm not really into sci-fi tv shows other than Star Trek like Babylon 5 and such, so what exactly is Quantam Leap? Is it good?
