I second that!  I like Pat's eyes.  It cool that his eyes may change colors.  Mine just stays brown.

Yeah, mine too. I also have brown eyes and their color never changes.

Personal log, 18.10.04, 8:04 pm

Last day before university starts again for me tomorrow. *nervous* Oh well, no one's gonna harm me there and I can leave whenever I want :(

My first class starts at 4.15 pm, perfect time for me. ^_^

Here's today's Pat pic of the moment. Oh, Pat. *has little hearts in her eyes*

(it was taken in Cologne, one day before the X Men premier celebration took place)

Here's today's Pat fact of the moment:

Did you know that Pat once was arrested by the police in London because they thought he was a threat to national security?

- he was doing his usual morning jogging exercise and had not listened to the news before, so he did not know that there had been a phone call to the Buckingham Palace, threatening to have placed a bomb inside or something. Pat did not know that, he had just started to run and his usual route was leading him around Buckingham Palace. So he ran there and suddenly a Bobby stopped him and asked for his ID or whatever he had with him. He didn't have his ID or wallet with him, so they took him with them, in handcuffs and all that and then they arrived at the other police cars. One of the Bobbies recognized him and said "Oh dear, this is Captain Picard! You can't arrest Captain Picard! Let him go!" :( :(

Picard out.

I wonder if he was more angry about being handcuffed or being called Captain Picard? :)

Poor Pat! :)

Good luck to you with your university classes! I'm sure you will do quite well! :)

I would think he would be grateful that someone recognized him even though they called him Captain Picard.

I have always thought that actors didn't like being addressed as their characters in public. But who knows?

In Pat's case, I'm sure he was just happy to be set free! :)

I would think that this case is different. He could have placed in the holding area for hours to his verify his identity or however long it took family to get his id.

Well, in Pat's case... he doesn't like it if people call him Captain Picard or Jean-Luc though he admits that he reacts if someone calls out "Jean-Luc" :)

But I think that in this particular case he was really happy that someone recognized him (he had to sign autographs after they had taken off the handcuffs :) ). :)

Oh what a day. I have had my first experience with Latin. I can't say if I like it or not. I tend to say I don't. :)

But guess what happened. I didn't get into the English classes. Too many people. :) What a wonderful day. :dude:

I have to look at something ... more interesting now

Here's today's Pat pic of the moment:

Here's today's Pat fact of the moment:

Did you know that Pat once had a very special encounter with a "fan"?

- she talked to him and told him how much she admired him, that she loved his movies and all that, and it was a really nice talk. Pat was flattered, of course, and then, when they said good-bye, she shook his hand and said "It has been an honor to meet you, Mr. Kingsley." :)

Pat was stunned at first and then he laughed since Ben Kingsley is one of his closest friends

Picard out.

I'm sorry you didn't get your english classes! :)

Just think of Latin as the Beverly Crusher of classes! It's there, you don't like it, but you have to put up with it. :)

I don't know if universities in Germany are lik the ones here, but here after a week or so, you can try to switch your schedule if other people have dropped the classes you want.

Awww thanks ^_^

 The Beverly Crusher of classes? Now this is an interesting suggestion! Thank you! Erm... Are you sure I can't throw it out of the next airlock? :)

It is not possible to switch schedule here. You are in the class or you aren't. There's no way to switch with anyone, even if someone who has been allowed to join the class refuses to do so.

That's the spirit of the German university of Heidelberg. :)

Personal log, 20.10.04, 8:31 pm

It was a rather calm day at university today. *phew* I got into all the classes I wanted to (at least today). Something interesting happened to me, though. I sat there and waited for the professor to appear and then he came and I was like :) he looks like Scott Bakula :) I'm NOT kidding, he really does, especially if he turns his head to one side. So now I can say Scott Bakula is my professor :)

Did you know that Pat is grandpa?

- he has a little granddaughter, she's about... hm one or two years old (it's his son's daughter, I don't know if Pat's daughter also has children, he doesn't talk about his family that often)

Wouldn't it be nice? But like Beverly is the doctor and if you threw her out of an airlock, there'd be a negative effect on the Enterprise, if you threw Latin out the airlock, there'd be a negative effect on you (not meeting graduation requirements). In fact, Bev might just be easier to replace than your Latin class.:laugh: :P

I hope school continues to go well for you! :look:

True. So, let's get it on! *grabs Bev and throws her out* :P

Well, don't worry, I'll find another doctor BEFORE I throw her out. No worries there. *THWACKs Beverly*

Personal log, 21.10.04, 11:15:pm

What a day today. I left home at 11 am and came home at 8 pm. Yeah, university is fun.

Not that much happened today. I had an English class today (one without an exam at the end, so I wouldn't have to go there, but I found the topic quite interesting). The professor talked about ENGLAND the whole time and I was very happy about that  the only bad thing is, I had expected him to speak ENGLISH, but he spoke GERMAN.

WEEEEEEEEEKEEEEEEEEEND :look:

I just came home from university. It has been a very stressful first week but I got some wonderful news when I switched on the computer: Pat will do a stage play in LONDON next January!

Here's the link: click here

I just have to convince my mom now that we have to go to London for a weekend. I have my exams in January, so this COULD be a problem, but heck, it's PAT on stage!!!! I won't miss this chance because of a few stupid exams.

The exams are during the week anyway. So, there's plenty of time to go and see Pat at the weekend.

I'll just have to convince my mom. This is not going to be easy but I will do my best. :flex: I have to see Pat. No matter what. I want to see him on stage so badly. And this is the perfect Christmas present for me so my mom would not have to come up with other presents.

Did you know that Pat loves German beer?

- he said so during his press conference that took part before THE convention

He is a race car driver  it's not from one of his movies. Pat loves fast cars (that's why he LOVED that scene in Nemesis on the planet, he did all the stunts himself except for the one in which the ARGO is jumping over the edge of that hill or whatever it is) and he takes part in various races (mostly charity races) that Toyota organises. :wow:

Here's another pic:

I've talked to my mom now (she's away for 5 weeks, but I called her and asked her what she thinks about visiting London for a weekend) and she liked that idea :flex: she said she'll accompany me if it is possible for her. :look: Not that I couldn't go alone, but I don't want to go alone to a foreign country  *too shy*

Yeah, I also hope to see him on stage. And... he's always at the back door after the show, signing autgraphs. That could be my one and only chance to talk to him. At least a few words. *HOPES SO BADLY*

Not much so far for today. It's weekend and I am enjoying my free time in front of the computer, as usual.

I'm also looking for new information on Pat's stage appearance but there seems to be none. *tells self* Be patient...

Well, I'm hungry now, so I'll get myself a pizza.

My grandmother is annoying me, like she did last time when my mom was away. :P She called at 9:30 pm yesterday, asking me if I had eaten something when I came home from university. She's like that, she's always worried about people's health and she's treating me like a child. I can't stand this. I hate it when she does that, asking me what I have eaten and what I have done during the day. I'm 21. I'm an ADULT, not a 3-year-old child. :P

And now the phone's ringing again. It's gotta be her. I won't pick it up. :o

I've told my mom about the problem and she promised me to tell my grandma that she should better leave me alone. I can take care of all of that here myself. :frusty:

Every time the same problem, my grandma starts annoying me, we argue and then she leaves me alone.

I remember when I first moved away from home and people were always calling to see if I was okay and eating wel, etc.

So I told them, "no, I'm not eating well... I'm not eating at all and if everyone doesn't stop calling me to see if I'm okay, I may never get a chance to eat again!!!" :frusty:

Personal log, 24.10.04, 1:33 pm

Sunday. What a calm day. My grandmother has not called again so far. Oh, well, I couldn't have heard it anyways because I've thrown the phone into my mother's bedroom and closed the door. My cellphone is on so that everyone who wants to call me is free to do so, and the only person who doesn't know the cellphone number is my grandmother :frusty:

Well, I'll enjoy the Sunday now and I really have to study some Latin today or tomorrow. Homework. At university. :o The last time I had something called homework was back in those old school times.

But, I need to do it because I have to learn this... language, is it even a language? :P

That is indeed a very good question. I have to admit that I don't know the answer.

It's possible that Bella has attacked him before, I don't know. But I somehow doubt it because everyone loves him, and so do cats.:look:;)

Personal log, 25.10.04, 11:15 am

Not much so far for today. I have to go to the post office today, one of my friends is not feeling very happy and I have decided to send her a small package (she lives "far" away from me, in Munich). I hope she'll like it.

Oh and I changed my avatar. All this Halloween stuff around here made me do that. I had prepared that Locutus avatar for quite a while and now here it is. No worries, I will change it back to the one with Pat as Oberon when Halloween is over.

But for now... Locutus is watching us. :(
