^ He looks like Willie Nelson! Good look for him though. I know he sang in Insurrection, but I was talking about in a play or something.

Yes, I know, he looks so great. :b-day: But I think he's cute whatever he is wearing :b-day:

Hmmmmm I would also love to hear him singing on stage. He should start a second career as a singer. :b-day: :b-day: :b-day:

At least you're not in love with Kirk... him singing is the worst thing you could ever hear! In fact it might be the last thing you hear.

Hey Mrs P... I just wanted to let you know I sent your package today! :(

I went to over the DVD case at work and though I was trying not to be disruptive, one of my coworkers grabbed the case from me and ran off saying, "Check it out, Picard with a sniper rifle!" referring to the pictures on the rear of the case! :)

Then of course, everyone wanted to know if it was a good movie. Ahem... you guys wouldn't appreciate it, I don't think! :P

I should hopefully have the other films in hand tomarrow night, so I can do them over the weekend! :)

I know, I have some songs by Bill Shatner here... They're... erm... horrible :P

Leonard Nimoy or Brent Spiner did a much better job...

You're right, I don't think that guys would be much interested into that movie... though I doubt that it was Pat's intention to do a movie only for his female fans... :)

I can't wait to get the package, I'm so excited. Thank you again. :) I will let you know when it's here.

Personal log, 30.9.04, 1:33 pm

Alrighty.

This is my last log entry here before the convention takes place. It starts tomorrow. I am really nervous right now - and I'm still feeling a little sick. I hope this won't get worse.

I really can't believe it. I will see Pat on Saturday. It's a strange feeling. I can't exactly describe it, neither in German nor in English. I'm just very... nervous. :)

Here's today's Pat pic of the moment:

(it's Pat as "Captain Jean-Luc Picard" from the movie "Star Trek - Generations" - as if no one knew that here :( )

Numero57.jpg

I love those uniforms...

Here's today's Pat fact of the moment:

Did you know that Pat loves Beavis & Butthead?

He has all episodes on video tape (I think he now has them on DVD :) )

Picard out.

Thanks :) I will try to have some fun, don't worry. :(

It's my first convention. I had never planned to go to one unless Pat's the main guest (I don't have much money and conventions are soooo expensive).

And nothing seemed like as if that would ever be the case since Pat has been avoiding Star Trek conventions in recent years. But now everything suddenly changed and I know that he asked those guys who are planning the convention if it was possible to have him here. They didn't believe it at first, one of them told me that. :) :)

But now... hey don't worry you will go to a convention, too. One day. Don't worry. :(

Have a great time Mrs. Picard. I have not had the good fortune to see Pat at a convention. I saw Shatner and he was a riot. :) Conventions are expensive, but don't get down :sadwalk: it is allot of fun just walking around and seeing all the cool stuff and seeing just how many people in your area love Trek! :P I usually don't have allot of money either, but I still have a great time. Oh and if you see a weird guy in a halloween mask in normal clothes walking around that could be Shatner he has been known to do that on occasion. Have fun! :(

Thank you, Airies :)

I will keep my eyes open for that guy in a halloween mask :( though I doubt that Shatner comes here to Germany just to walk around unnoticed at a convention :P

Yeah, I will definitely meet a lot of people, you're right. :)

Personal log, 4.10.04, 1:13 am

I'm back. I've just come home from the convention and I still cannot believe it. I actually saw Pat. Yes, I saw him on stage and he was so cute and all that... I can't really tell you everything he said or did (it's impossible to tell everything, too many things happened), but he was so funny and relaxed and he got standing ovations, of course, everyone was so excited that he was here and he seemed to enjoy himself very much and...

STOP.

First of all I have a message from Nana Visitor to SPACETIGGER. Yeah, SPACETIGGER. I really made it to talk to Nana while she was signing an autograph for me.

It went like that (that's for you, Spacetigger):

I told her that you were a VERY huge fan of her, with pics and posters in your apartment and all that. She looked up, smiled and asked: "What's his name?" I said "Spacetigger" and explained that this is a nickname on a Star Trek message board. She smiled broadly and told me the following:

"Tell him that I send him A BIIIIIIIIIG HUG."

So, this is from Nana to you, Spacetigger: BIIIIIIIIG

I hope you like that :) I'm not kidding in any way, really, I have made some pics of Nana to prove that I really was there when she was, I just have to develop the pics (I don't have a digital camera).

And now I have a sad message to RikerChick, Jon Frakes was not in Germany this weekend. I recorded the show but my mom told me neither him or Ben Kingsley appeared on the show. I am really sorry, RC. :)

Well, now back to Pat. I got to know a friend of Pat at the convention, he was showing some pics with autographs from Pat and that's where he knows him from. I talked to that friend of Pat for several times and I showed him the latest picture of my room with all those Pat pics and he said to me "You're the world's greatest Patrick Stewart fan" I just hope he won't tell Pat anything about that room of mine...

And I saw Pat's personal assistant walking around, she was even sitting next to me in a computer room, but I didn't talk to her. I didn't want to intrude or something.

And Nana Visitor was walking around at the convention and she waved at me when she saw me sitting in the lobby, she seemed to remember me from her autograph session.

Now back to my fave topic. Pat was so great. He joked a lot with the people who were asking him questions. There was a Klingon, for example, and he pointed at him and said: "I know you. I've dealt with you guys before and you cannot scare me."

And then the Klingon complained about Picard as a "rambo-like" guy in Nemesis. Pat sighed, rolled his eyes, grinned and said: "Klingons...!"

And then when he had answered the Klingons' questions, he said "Qapla'!" and everone was clapping his/her hands... it was awesome.

Everyone was laughing so hard, it was incredible. :)

And then a fully dressed Borg drone came up and Pat looked at her and said: "Why are you doing this to yourself?"

Oh and then there was this guy here. He brought his son with him to the microphone. He had a reason for that, of course. His son's name was Jean-Luc and he wanted to thank Pat for everything that Star Trek had done for his life and all that. Pat was really touched and asked the guy to come closer to the stage.

And so, that exactly is today's Pat pic of the moment. It's just a few hours old.

Today's Pat fact the moment is a special one.

Did you know that Pat is just the most wonderful man in the whole universe?

Picard out. For now. :)

Yes, I talked to her :) , she is such a nice and friendly person. She really didn't mind people taking pics of her or asking her questions while she was signing and all that. :)

I had a VERY great time, thanks. I bought a second life-size Picard cut out  and I bought so much more Picard merchandise. It's now resting on my bed, I won't have a chance to sleep in it, it's all covered with Jean-Luc merchandise

And I have found a really huge poster of him!!!

Pat was, in fact, delighted. He really hadn't expected so much love from his German fans. It was his very first convention ever in Germany and he was really amazed, I saw it in his eyes. :)

When he came on stage for the first time, he greeted us in GERMAN, with such a CUTE English accent that I almost passed out. He had learned the words just for that occasion. It was SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was it hard for you to fight the urge to just run up and hug him?

Yes, he spoke German, I haven't heard him speaking German before, at least not a full sentence and he did sooooooo great  It was so nice of him and everyone who had just sat down stood up again, applauded and screamed... it was so awesome, just awesome.

Yeah, I know, it will be hard for me to find any place for all the stuff I bought. I also had problems to find a place for the new cut out. It's standing next to the other one now, but it's actually taller. How can that be :)

Thanks *hehe*

What? To my bed? I would never do that... *innocent*

... because I know that he has an appointment tomorrow night with Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes. He has invited them over to England and he said he'd have to tell them anything about his convention experience in Germany.

Oh, I could have said something to Pat, maybe I could have even touched him. He was asking a question no one knew the answer to. He told us he had played at a theater in Germany once, a looooong time ago and offered a pound to anyone who could tell him where, when and which play.

Well, I knew the answer, of course, I'm his biggest fan, at least I knew two parts of the answer - but I didn't raise my hand. I was too shy. :)

But still, I am more than just happy with my experience there. It was so great and I hope that Pat will return soon. And this time, I will give answers to questions no one else knows the answer to.:clap:

Isn't it tough being shy?

But really, you should have spoken up. What if he had decided to give you a big hug or something?

:imagines Mrs. P fainting away:

How much did you manage to spend at the convention? One of the reasons I haven't been to one yet is because I fear I'll come home with all kinds of stuff and be bankrupt for months after!

Being shy is one problem, my other one would have been that I couldn't have stood up. I mean, I would have had to walk to the microphone and all that... I would have fainted away in an instant, I'm not kidding.

A hug? That was exactly what I feared he would do... Another reason why I did not say anything. I really would have fainted away.

I don't know how much money I spent at the convention. I don't even know how much money I had with me. I didn't count it, I just packed it into my wallet and left. I think it was a bit more than 200 Euro.

Personal log, supplemental:

I'm still so excited.

But I really have to take care of my Latin courses I have to take at university. I have to go to university and write my name into a list. But I can't drive there today. I really can't. I mean, I'm still so confused and all that, I would be a serious risk to anyone else and to myself

So I think I will go tomorrow.

Here's another pic of Pat. It's from... erm... Saturday, from a short press conference he gave. :)

Thanks

I have sworn to myself to ask him a question if he ever comes to Germany again (and I think he will, he liked it a lot).

It will be a very specific question, one during which no one else except for Pat and me knows what I'm talking about.:clap:

I know how you feel. The shaky legs, the sweaty hands... oh my!

I get that feeling of being pasted to a chair sometimes too.

I once got so embarassed getting up in front of a crowd that I couldn't stop laughing at myself. I was so hysterical that I couldn't speak for about a half-hour without busting out laughing again. All because I had been so nervous that I mixed up my words. :blush 2:

I really am enjoying the pictures you're sharing from the convention!

Well, I am not that shy when it comes to talking to people when no one else is around. Really, I didn't mind talking to Nana Visitor or something, but I would never have said anything to her if there were too many other people listening. I'm so shy when it comes to that.

Thanks for liking the pics

Cool beans Mrs. Picard, sounds and looks like you lived a dream come true. Would you do it again?

268893[/snapback]

Yes, a dream has come true for me. And I tell you one thing I have promised myself. I will go to wherever Pat appears in Germany. I don't care where in Germany, I will go there. And I think he will return, he liked it a lot here, it wasn't his first visit in Germany, of course, but his first convention and he was so impressed and amazed that I think he'll return. Well, it's not a big trip for him... London-Germany... this is not that far a distance

Good for you! I Hope he makes cons in your area a yearly thing. Say Mrs P, I notice a poster of the NX-01 in the shadows of the above pic. Did Mr. Stewart voice any support for ENT?
