Yes great episode.
Wierd thing, it is probably just me but the first Borg that htey encounter in Engineering looks like Brent Spiner to me for some reason with a Borg costume. Well, at least he has Brent's nose.

I like the uniforms from the late DS9 seasons and the TNG movies First Contact through Nemesis. They are probably really warm though since htey have several layers.
Heck, even the formal uniforms they had in Insurrection looked cool!

Hmm, I feel odd....
Just kidding you guys, I'm all the way over in PA.
But yeah, of all the things to drop

I've never tried one of those things before but I'll check it out in 2007!

Also think back to "Statistical Probabilities" when the patients were given access to Dominion-Federation negotiations, at one point they had the computer play a part of Weyoun speaking in his native language.Oh man, I thought that was so awesome! I keep forgetting that other races speak differently but the UT makes everything ok.

If the helm doesn't respond, depressurize the main shuttlebay! (Cause and Effect)

Oh man! weren't these movies great or what?! They don't make them like this anymore. Great plot, acting, everything.
What do you all think of these three classics?
-
I'd like to see both too AE.
So far it's 100% for BOTH!

But, I remember an episode of The Next Generation where there are different time shifts on the Enterprise. They say "Computer, morning shift" and the lighting changes, or they say "Computer, night shift" and the lighting completely changes again. That is exactly the same, but Enterprise is a starship that is originated from Earth so the times don't really matter.
Doing that on a starship may be so that people don't get space fever or whatever. They might go crazy with no difference in lighting. Plus, having the light changes would bring back memories of planetside and probably help morale.
And since Galaxy-class vessels are designed for deep space missions, anything that keeps the crew happy would be an advantage, which explains quarters being toward the outside of the ship so everyone gets a windo and why all the windows are big, as well as all the comfortable furnishings laying around the ship.

Check it. Picard is always wanting to destroy the Enterprise crew over alot of things. When Nagilum took the Enterprise, he was about to blow it up, with everyone on it, just so Nagilum wouldn't kill half the people for his own education. Though in First Contact, he refused to blow it up when the crew was all evacuated and it was infested with Borg trying to destroy the world! So he wouldn't blow up the Enterprise when it only contained the doom of the Earth but he would blow it up when half the crew was threatened to be killed for the learning of another species. Need I say more? Saucer separations, emergancy self destruct, I've heard it a million times! Picard is trying to kill off the Enterprise and it's crew!First with Nagilum, as a captain one of Picard's responsabilites are the lives of his crew. Letting Nagilum kill them off and just stand idly by would be unacceptable. There was nothing to gain except knowledge at the expense of lives. If Picard would have let that happen, he would have been just as guilty as Nagilum.
As for First Contact, destroying teh ship would have killed all of the Borg, including the Queen. Phasers modulations running out or gone coupled with the fact that the Borg had taken over most of the ship. Sure, destroying the Enterprise was the easy solution but it was the best way to get the job done with no margin for error. Any error in a different attempt would have put the future of the Federation and the galaxy in jepoardy. And it was Data who deactivated the self-destruct I thought to gain the Queen's trust before double-crossing her.

I'd have to watch it again, but I don't think Keevan was like other Vorta. He seemed fairly cynical and pretty much out for his own skin ... you really don't see much devotion to the founders from him, certainly not like you see in Weyoun.
Actually, i meant the other Vorta, Yarim or something like that. He's the one they ended up capturing at the end of the episode.

At least once a day on the average. No DVD's but I tape DS9 and TOS when I need to. I am usually home in time to see TNG too.

Click For SpoilerIntersting! There is actually a conversation centering around the legitamacy of a male's chest! We made some history. -
I haven't seen it in awhile, I'll have to watch it again.
I did like it when they talk about getting the shuttle into the hangerbay in time and Sulu says, "Actually this is my first attempt" and Sybok (is that his name) is like, oh no

Ok, so was this episode basically a way to provide some comic relief from the heavy subject of the War while still including things from the War?
But, I thought the episode was great. So here comes the main point of this post. I'd just like to see what evidence you all found to supporet that this epiode was used as a lighter side to a war story. Here's two things I liked:
-Quark and Rom bursting into Sisko's office by accident (Brilliant!)
-Keevan's fate at eh end of the episode, doomed to walk into a wall forever
Side question:
The other Vorta in the epiosode said the Vorta are supposed to committ suicide while captured. Do you think he did it?

Hey, does anyone know where to find some good Star Trek AIM buddy icons?
Specifically those dealing with starships would be the best but I'll take what I can get. Thanks everybody!
-
hi ST, when you get them are you going to hit them together like Quark always does?!
-
Thanks guys for the info!! Now I can get some sleep at night
-
Yeah, that's it sea trooper thanks for the image! It's the one that's the farthest back, what class is it?

Get better Captain!

Has anyone seen this vessel?
It can be seen sometimes when there is a shot outside of DS9. There is one ship that looks like an Intrepid-class but it has a third nacelle or something coming out of the bottom.
Anyone know what it is?
-
Personally, I thought they stayed the same, but I guess I'll look harder. Perhaps they changed from the series to the movies.

What did you all think of the shot of seeing the Defiant and the Rotarran speeding off and then joining up with that huge fleet of Federation and Klingon vessels?
Man, I just love big fleet shots like that. Does anyone know where I can find an image of that scene?
