  1. Alright, I found a collection of them, 6 stories in one large book. What a find!

Anyway, did anyone catch the typo toward the beginning of Sisko's story?

    Here it is

    Click for Spoiler:

It says the Bajoran wormhole bridges the Alpha and Delta quadrants. I almost fell over when I saw it!

  2. Grrr, that is dumb that UPN won't advertise. I thought it was moronic that the only commericials I see for Enterprise (but I don't think they are technically) are during Enterprise when I am already watching it!

Whoever knows the address to UPN post it and I'll join the campaign.

  3. Star Trek V-Klingons!!!!! That one Klingon tries to kill Kirk.

Star Trek VI-Even more Klingons!!!!!!!!! 1 Romulan, not a big role.

Star Trek: Generations-More Klingons! They try to destroy the Enterprise.

    Enterpise-ONE episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Next Generation-more episodes but not as good.

There were some Romulans you missed but you are right, they are underused.

ST:V --The female Ambassador was Romulan

ST Generations -- The dead Romulan on the Armagossa station

ST First Contact -- Meh, they got mentioned but no actual appearances

Enterprise-- The series isn't over yet so we might see more of them in the future. They haven't been concentrated on much just so they have an excuse not to communicate with them.

The Original Series-- All I can think of was "Balance of Power" which I haven't seen and "The Enterprise Incident" which I did see a long tie ago. The latter was pretty good, but that was only two episodes out of 3 seasons (unless I missed an episode or two)

TNG-- Here is where the Romulans began to play a larger role in Trek. They stated with a mention in "Heart of Glory" but came back officially in "The Neutral Zone" the final episode of the first season. You only saw them briefly at the end, but you do see the Romulan warbird! Basically, the Romulans were the B plot here. The Romulans reappeared in Season 3 several times. First was "The Enemy" having Geordi team up with a Romulan. Good episode. The next one was "The Defector" where a high ranking Romulan defects to the Federation. Great episode, I recommend you view it. They came back in Season Four in "Future Imperfect". An alright episode but not totally focused on the Romulans. "Data's Day" had them in another B-plot. "The Mind's Eye" had the Romulans use Geordi in an assassination attempt. Great episode, another you should watch. They made some appearances in "Redemption" and played a role in "The Next Phase" and Tinman took place on Romulus, so it showed several aspects of Romulan society.

"Face of the Enemy" had the majority of the episode take place on a Romulan vessel. This is an excellent one involving what happens on a Romulan ship. They showed up in "The Pegasus"

These are all the ones I recall offhand. DS9 and VOY I haven't seen much of so I don't have much to say. But Nemesis was the first movie dedicated to the Romulans and I wouldn't mind seeing them again in the future.

  4. But, yes, the Federation did go on to ignore the treaty and now Defiant class and some Sovereign class ships do have cloaking devices.

I didn't know some Soverign-class ships had them. I figured there were only two canon ships, the Enterprise and the Soverign.

I know the Defiant got a cloaking device when they went to look for the Jem'Hadar homeworld but I don't think all Defiant-class vessels have them.

But, send me the episode where it says they do and I'll stand corrected

  5. Maybe because Starfleet isn't about a lot of phaser arrays since it's not a military organization. They want to make good impressions when they make first contact with other vessels and they can be a little bit flighty if a ship bristling with weapons is coming toward them.

Plus, phaser arrays need time to charge back up. Remember in Nemesis that most of their phaser energy was gone. But that was also because they were firing blind most of the time. As long as you have good coverage, more phaser arrays are overkill.

  6. Easy.

(Insert incredibly accurate techno explanation, followed by shouts of praise)

    See?

Actually, maybe it was the same guys who found out how to transport through the Jenolen's shields.

  7. True, there are those who fake homelessness

Yeah. Ever read "The Man with the Twisted Lip" or something like that? It was a Sherlock Holmes story. The character said he made more money begging than getting a real job!

  8. In all seriousness though, this is really annoying. Spike has changed the Trek schedule around so much this year. Perhaps if we the Trekkies sent out a bunch of e-mails begging for more stability and more Trek...

Their website does have a link to send feedback. I already sent them one concerning Trek at 7 and 8. So I say send them letters!

If they put it on there they must consider them important.

  9. Ok , I'll contribute to the community so here's mine and what the heck say what you want about it. It's the only picture I have of myself that can be sent through the computer and I have kept it hidden. Hopefully I'll be able to get a better one someday.

Anyway, this was taken for my Introduction to Education class and I don't think I was ready for it to be taken but oh well. I'm also 19 in this pic

  10. I've already had the big vacation, I went to Great Britain a few weeks ago.

Now I plan on working all the time to save up for Year 2 of college.

But I will be taking two side trips to Rochester and maybe Ohio, we'll see what happens

  11. So much for the Romulan war and founding of the UFP. :P

Ya know, I'm quite dissapointed in Trek fans today.  They used to fight for Trek, like fanbases do for other shows today that are threatened with cancellation.  When we heard there were no plans for a DS9 nor VOY movie, did fans unite and campaign for one?  No, they said, "Oh, it probably won't happen."  With ENT's four season potentially being the last, fans are saying, "Welp, that was fun.  Now whut?"  What about the campaign to get season 4?  Why not campaign for another network to pick up season 5?

I'd join that campaign to keep Enterprise, just send me their address.

As for the Romulan War being a movie, that's kind of a large topic for a movie. The Dominion War lasted 2 seasons.

  12. i don't see why they skipped over DS9 and VOY

The way I see it, DS9 had the main cast splitting up to pursue their different interests. Then they would have to think up a way to get them all back together. As for Voyager, it has been awhile since I saw the finale so I can't remember what happened to the crew, but we know that Janeway did become an Admiral.

TNG on the other hand, ended with the crew still together on the Enterprise so the movies were a progression.

That's my theory why no DS9 and VOY movie has been planned.

  13. I guess this might belong in the Bajoran embassy but since this was in a TNG episode I'll post it here:

I can't remember how Bajorans say their names whhen they are addressed. Ro explained it in the episode and I can't remember so can somebody help me out?

It had something to do with not being called Ensign Laren

  14. LOL! I skipped your information and right to the picture.   *gags* Aweful design.

I don't know, I kind of like the Norway-class and am sorry to see it getting ignored

Hope to see it in Trek again at some point
