ok, so since Jadzia dies in "Tears of the Prophets" that means Ds9 needs a new chief science officer.
So who got the job? Do we ever see them? How can the science division just be disregarded after 6 seasons?
Just a question. Anyone have an anwser?

Actually, it appears the episode will not be on at all that night, or Saturday, since baseball will be on all day.
Hope you all enjoy the season premiere. I give myself a 15% chance of getting to see it.

Man this was sad news when I found out today. I always loved hearing his performances on TV or whenever he was in movies.
I'm troubled that all the actors that I like are growing older, something I haven't really realized until now and that they will eventually die. And there is really nothing to fill the gap becasue I don't know that many recent actors or celebrities.
Looks like I'll have to live in the past.

Ok, listen to this one.
How long have I been waiting for season 4? Basically, a long time.
Suprise! Enterprise got preempted by the Presidential debate Friday night.
Thanks guys.

I won't be able to afford it but I'll get a picture of it off the Internet and put in all my wall to go with all of the other Enterprise's I have.
If this works do you think any other Enterprise we see in any future Star Trek series will have a picture or model of it somewhere, like in the Ready Room or Briefing Room?

Patrick Stewart on SNL was hilarious. I haven't seen the William Shatner one. I'll keep an eye out for it though.

I don't understand the thing with Benny Russell. Is he supposed to be writing DS9? That would mean that the series was just his imagination right? I would appreciate an explanation.
VBG could probably help with this one since you seem to enjoy this particular series the most but whoever has a good explanation I'm happy to hear it.

I am somewhat dissappointed as well with this new developement. On the one hand I missed two episodes of DS9 since my VCR wasn't set correctly teh first day that they changed it. But, on the other, now we get four episodes of Star Trek a day at least instead of two:good point.
Does this make up for the fact that they replaced Trek Uncut Friday nights with a CSI Marathon? Depends. In my area Enterprise comes on at 10 on Fridays so now I can watch it.
The bottom line:
I guess this schedule is fine but that's enough in my book. Don't have Star Trek on at 3am or the only ratings Spike will get from me are the occasional times I watch MXC.

As for me, my hope for the future is what the Bible promises for the Earth and mankind.

It's been a very long time since I've seen this episode and everytime it's about to come on something happens where I always miss it. Next time it comes around on Spike I'll catch it.
As for what I remember, good thought provoking episode.
Friends or the truth?

I'm partial to Andorians but I'd be happy to play almost anything just to be in Star Trek!

Since Enterprise is on Friday nights, will that make it more likely to get preempted by sports?

Spike just showed this episode today so I finally got to see it. it has been a couple of years but man, great episode all around.
You definately get a lot of Garak developement including how he can plan something so intricately that it will work and have the skills to carry it out.
I was also thinking about what the repercussions would be if the Romulans ever found out about the deception. At least a novel touched on it but maybe in the long future, many years from now, there may be an episode about it.
I will end with a question though:
Click For SpoilerCardassian territory and Romulan territory are on different sides of the UFP. So how did Senator Vreenak get to Cardassian territory. I doubt the Federation would let him pass through so did he go all the way around UFP territory to get to Cardassian space? And how then does the Dominion operating in Romulan territory get there? Did they go all the way around as well?Any thoughts?

How about filling your vehicle's gasoline tank? Should you let it get pretty low to get rid of most of the old stuff?

lol, i knew someone would have a good rant at my statement.
I myself cannot believe something unless it's proven, therefore anything thought religious, is rejected by my brain, as there is never any proof attached.
I have no objection to religion, but i hate those who try to push it on others, i once threw a brick at some religious types who kept knocking at our door.
:) Those were probably people of my group! :)
Anyway, the creation itself gives evidence to the existance of God, in fact the Bible states that (Romans 1:20).
Basically, it's almost insulting to think that our whole existance had no purpose and came about by accident, or crawled out of an ocean somewhere.

Exactly, and that was only one fleet. one thing I like doing during that is seeing how many different kinds of ships there are. One class I couldn't pick out was a Norway.
Either of you guys, or anyone else in forum-land, see one in teh midst of all of the mirandas, excelsiors and akiras?
I did see another Defiant-class in the fleet though!

Yeah, I think they said in Insurrection that subspace weapons were outlawed becasue they were unpredictable.
It almost sounds similar to being phased. Did they detect chroniton particles? Ah forget it, it's probably different technology.

*sniff* Every time I think about that episode I get so sad.
Ok back!
It's possible but I'm sure that the people of Kataan weren't humans, but with new episodes of Enterprsie coming up we might find out.
What's Up With Spike Tv?
in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Latest update: It looked as if Spike was going to begin with Season 1 again but now...who knows??
Monday, October 18
11:00 AM: "The Dogs of War" (SciFi) TVPG CC Stereo The Federation war against the Dominion reaches the prelude to one final showdown.
12:00 PM: "Past Prologue" (SciFi) TVPG CC Stereo A Bajoran terrorist wants Kira to help blow up the wormhole.
Nice one, "Dogs of War" comes before "What you leave behind" so your getting stuff from the future before the past. Great.
