  1. I drink and enjoy Earl Grey. I pull my shirt like Picard sometimes. Make it so once in a while... and when I'm surprise, I'd raise my eye brow. I greet people in church on Sundays with, "Live long and prosper". I shaved my head a couple of times and pretend I'm Picard. I sometimes change the TV channels with what I imagine as a phaser. I sometimes greet friends in email with "Q'pla" and say "It is a good day to die." when I'm kill in a computer game.

I think I'm gonna get some tea now. Earl Grey. Hot!

  2. I voted for Picard. I like Mr. Stewart too but I did't quite like Prof. Xavier. So I suppose I prefer Cpt. Picard. Besides, I know I'm safer on a ship captained by Picard than Mr. Stewart. I don't mean any disrespect towards Mr. Stewart but I don't think I've read in his profile that he graduated from Starfleet Academy.

However, I've always enjoyed any show with Mr Stewart acting in it - including the X-men. He is a superior actor compared to Cpt. Picard. Whenever I watch a show with Mr Stewart in it, I would think its Picard instead.

Come think about it, Mr Stewart looks exactly like Cpt Picard. I could have sworn they are both the same person!!

  3. I really cannot remember when I started watching Star Trek. I do remember being surprise seeing a policeman named TJ Hooker in a Sci Fi show which at the time, I could not have known the title of the show. I liked the show though. Just too young to understand much of it.

It was only later in my early teens that I began to watch Star Trek again. It was showing TNG but I didn't know it was different from TOS. I kept waiting for the policeman to appear. I could not understand or recognise that bald man. So I stopped watching Trek cos I really liked that policeman then.

As I approached 20, I had the change to watch TNG again and this time, I began to understand what the difference between TNG and TOS, and then I began to get hooked on it every Sunday afternoon. Its only then I realised that the policeman was Kirk. Since then, I've been a fan.

Today, I have a softcopy of TNG and DS9 script in my Palm so I could read them everywhere I go. My pastor thinks I should read my Bible more often instead of ST. I suppose I just need a more balanced lifestyle.

  4. I recently returned from visiting my folks in Florida, mother is still very strict about the books she has in her house but dad invited me to watch several movies that featured the flashing of Jack Nicholson's butt.  Oh progress, someday I'll have to write and tell them how I managed to get from Ohio to Florida in under 3 hours. <_<

Ohio to Florida under 3 hours. It must be Transporter!

  5. I've not been long here and I've not made any friends yet. Mostly just "names" on a screen with whom I can share my thoughts with. Mebbe with time, some of these "names" would become lasting friends. Its surprising how some "names" from other sites eventually evolve into great friends. I hope with time, I'll find that here too.

  6. The most ideal were to have both Harry and Kes right up to the last episode. Change Kes' lifespan if its to be done but do it. Kes is very cute. She's got that innocent look, Very sweet. Harry, well... he's good too. I'd like to see him as Captain in some other ST movie or series. Mebbe an Admiral. I never really bothered about pairings but it would be nice to pair him with someone.... how about Kes?

  7. Yeah, I really enjoyed 8-legged Freaks. Evolution was... well, not too bad. I'd like to see a group of monsters infesting a ship or a station. Red shirts going in to clean them out and in the process, some get eaten.

Other than sharp teeth, monsters should be made of rubber suits... lol

  8. Both Jadzia and Ezri have their moments of slump and glory. One thing special about DS9 is that its major characters get to die. It makes the show realistic. There are many shows out there where the good guys never die no matter how many times they get shot or bombed. They just won't die. That's not really realistic. DS9 was in a war era and casualties must be a part of the scene. It happened to be Jadzia. She died but I really didn't like the way she died and I won't get any arguement from Worf. The story would have been richer if she died sacrificing for someone or mission.... or some other glorious death.

One thing good about ST also is that they can still "ressurect" a dead character. Hence we have Ezri. It takes a while getting used to her but she still is a Dax and she made a great show of the struggles she faces from being recently joined. I think Ezri helped us see the struggles Trills have to face after being joined. She needed to fit in with the rest of the crew. There could certainly be a study about Trills just through Ezri's episodes.

Finally, I think its very cruel to ask me to choose between Jadzia and Ezri. They are both gorgeous and I'd love to choose Jadzia but what would Ezri think?!? I'd probably make her cry. And if I choose Ezri, Jadzia would come ofter me with a bat'leth. Its just isn't fair. I like them both.

  9. Feds can't have cloak cos of the treaty with the Romies and the subspace weapon is banned. However, its a starship that "hides" in subspace isn't like a weapon, is it? Its not really a proper cloak with what the Romies have. It'll just be in another "reality" as VBG puts it. This type of "cloak" won't be in the Fed-Romie Treaty, would it? Someone help.... thanks.

  10. What would you all do if you were shopping one day and there you see... the actress who played Kai Winn?

Normally, if I hate a character enough, I won't watch other movies / shows acted by the same person. I know its irrational but it happend after watching Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding. It took me a while to get the feeling off my back. It shouldn't happen but it does. Mebbe if I'm Vulcan, I wouldn't have that problem.
