  1. Just a thought to add. From one angle, we can say that the Borg is the baddest of the baddies. Then again, we can also argue that they are another race of one minded sentient being whose very basic nature is to assimilate. If that is so, can we say that the Borg are evil. Its hard to actually say a whole race is evil. Just for the sake of argument....

  2. I chose this Avatar because I can't find any other respectable picture of an Asian Starship captain anywhere around. Besides, I just love his ship and would have also loved the series if there was one. On top of that, I'm Asian.

  3. I voted sometimes. I wish there's someway network here would show TAS again. I love:

    Samurai Jack

    Pingu

Futurama (only that episode with Star Trek in it).

All the other cartoons... well, mostly Disney's stuff.

Oh yeah, I still watch robotech and Macross... and some Japanese cartoons when I can.

  4. What they need to do is take Enterprise to the point where the Romulan war is ended, the Federation is established, take a 5-year hiatus, and start over with a fresh idea - a Starfleet Academy series or a series about Klingons or Romulans or something.  But it should be thought out and not rushed into.

But I'd be really old by then!! :notworthy:

  5. My personal opinion is they are tools of the devil. :innocent: I wont ever touch one again.

No way, very demonic IMO. There's nothing you could do to make me get near one of those things.

I wouldn't touch one for anything in the world. I definitely consider them to be demonic.

I'm too lazy to type so I'll just quote others I agree with.

  6. If 7 was made captain, all the guys would not know how to do their jobs - especially the bridge crew cos they'll have their eyes on her instead of on their consoles and screen. She's really good looking anyway. I'd probably forget what my duties are too on the bridge. Besides, she always wears that figure hugging suit that would keep the mens eyes on her.

The ladies would, off course, plot to get rid of her due to jealousy. Torres would challenge her to a brawl and Janeway.... she'd ask Q to get rid of 7. Q off course would do anything for Janeway just to get her to sleep with him.

Really, its just another of my opinion but I think 7 is gorgeous if anything else. I have a non-Star Trek fan friend who records every Voy episode since 7 appeared because he loves her.

  7. I agree with the King. I love Star Trek. That makes me a Star Trek Fan. Star Trek Fans are the most intelligent and creative fans of any TV show. Therefore logic dictates that I am intelligent and creative.

Man! I just love the sound of that!

There are, I must say, some pretty good fan fiction out there. :innocent:

  8. Pulaski is a strong character and she certainly was rude to Data. I didn't like her at first. I went back to my files and read the scripts again and this is what I think: I think PUlaski would have been a great character is she continued on through right to Nemesis. She's the no nonsence doctor. We really see her character develop throughout the 2nd season and we do see a distinct attitude change - especially with Data.

I like Crusher too - mainly because I think she's better looking. The only thing I didn't like her was her son. There are times you can love the boy and there are times you can just hate him. I think why Dr Crusher was .... lemme find the right word... she wasn't as better developed as Pulaski because the scriptwriters didn't have it in their mind to improve her.

    Well, its just my opinion.

  9. I voted for Spocks death. Its dramatic and there are quite a couple of movies following the same concept of "The good of the many outweighs the needs of the few..or the one" death scenes, although not as dramatic as TWOK. One example is U-571 where a young chap died trying to repair something where he had to be underwater most of the time.

I know this isn't really a death scene but there was one where Worf was getting his promotion on the Enterprise and Picard got news that Rene died. We didn't really see him die but I think Stewart acted his part very well in portraying the impact of it. That was very touching indeed. :innocent:

  10. I feel really embarrassed by my own question. I'm not sure how to edit the question but I'll rewite it. Here it is:

If we substitute all human characters in the movie AVP with characters from our favourite Star Trek series, which group among the listed will most likely survive? B)
