  1. I prefer to think that Starfleet did actually develop the ultimate cloaking device that surpasses any Klingon & Romulan detection. That is why we have never seen any Federation CLOAKED ship. Its just too good. The Defiant Cloaking Device was probably flawed.

  2. Yup I can do it and with both hands. I actually greet friends at church like that too. I'm currently trying to teach my 15 month son the Vulcan hand sign. Who knows, he might get to meet Mr Nimoy one day.

Have anyone of you seen the animated movie Ice Age? There's a part where the baby was sitting on the mammoth passing under an ice cavern. In there, there were lots of stuff frozen in ice like some great fish and other animals. At one part, there was a section that showed a frozen flying saucer. The baby turned and did the Vulcan hand sign as he left the scene. I watched it again at least another 2 or 3 times to just see that ! Wow! Vulcans actually made contact with us in the Ice Age!!

  3. I was never satisfied with the explanation they gave for the rift forming in the first place.

They (Data I think) said the rift formed because of the intense concentration of phaser and photon torpedo blasts in the battle zone.

If that were true then there would have to be a LOT of such rifts.  I'm sure this can't have been the only battle to have a lot of phasers and torpedos.

I am tryig to imagine LOTS of rifts caused by concentration of phaser and photon blasts in DS9. I think there were lots of those there.

  4. I had a hard time here but in the end I reluctantly picked the simulation. I remember watching it for the first time and I was on the edge since its the "good-guys" getting toasted... until I found out later that it was only a teating ground. Really got me there. My second choice would be the Excelsior.

  5. I voted for Excelsior. My second vote would be Titan. I'd love to see the Titan but I'm not one who is interested in relatinships - hence I'd pass if its going to be heavily on Riker / Troi. I don't want it to turn out into something like Dawson's Creek or something like that. I'd love to also watch Gateways, Engineers' Corp, Final Frontier too.

I'm sure Elite Forces would be awesome but it'll spoil a lot if its too much like the game. I mean there are loads of other shoot-em-up shows out there and Star Trek just got to be different.

I thought of Star Trek: Incursion based on Captain Marcus Rafelian of the USS Incursion from the game Away Team. That would be good if its a little like the movie SWAT.

  6. Wasn't First Contact a great movie?  Then they follow it up with that syrupy Insurrection fiasco and then Nemesis.  You're right ... it is unfair to compare those two flicks to FC.  FC set the standard for TNG movies and I just don't know if they'll ever match it again.

Gosh....I really liked Insurrection too.....I can't think of any of the Trek movies that I actually dislike, or failed to get something out of...maybe Star Trek V.

I loved the idea of the perfect moment in time, and the ability to hold onto a special moment. I loved that idea. I loved the scene with Geordi's first sunrise in Insurrection.

I am glad that there are different paces, tones, and emphasis in the different Trek movies. We would not be satisfied if they all had the same level of tension as FC. I loved FC from the first time I saw it, but could not relax for a moment in it.

I got back home and watch that part again. Yeah. I really like the part Geordi gets to watch his first sunrise. Makes me wonder about the things we take for granted. But come to think about it, would Geordi have seen many sunrise in a holodeck?

  7. There's only MacD here so that's what I voted. I'd have to fly to Kuala Lumpur just to have a B King. Not sure if there's even a Wendy's there. However, when I was in the UK, I prefered B King. The same goes for NZ. In Aust, I'd prefer MacD.

I think I'll get one now.

..... Computer. MacDonald's Big Mac, and a Raktajino. Hot and Double sweet. Add a fries in too.....

    yummy yummy in my tummy.

  8. I am an old member making a comment.

To me the banners help us get to know our more outgoing members. As long as we have had the rotating banners I have liked them.

I also like the fact that if one si less outgoing and does not want a banner, one is under no pressure to come up with one.

Exactly how I feel but I'm still really young (new)

I think the personal banners are cool.  I think they add a nice touch to the site, I have also been guilty of refreshing the pages to see which banner comes up.  I think everyone on here is very creative with their banners and I do enjoy hanging out here whenever I'm online.  The banners make these boards inviting.  Someday I'll have one of my own, just haven't decided what I want the theme to be...

Exactly how I feel.... and someday....

    hahahahahaaaa hahaaaa.....

I am trying to imagine Qonos United playing in the English Premier League!! The red devils will have no chance. Beckham would be out. I really would love to see those Klingon players signing up with Adidas for an advertisement contract! :) :) <_<

I know what their mascot would (never) be.... A Tribble.

  10. I voted more than 5 times. That's because I don't own any of the series on DVD, or else I would not have that much time watching all 10 movies over and over again. Besides, I didn't know what to do while I was recovering from chic-pox.

  11. Yeah of course I do, they get got by the immigration officials all the time and are deported back to their countries...

Hahahahaaaaa.... My collegues think I'm nuts laffing out loud like that.

Anyway, I voted Definately Not. As much as I really love Star Trek and all the aliens in there... especially Klingons.... I do not believe that there are aliens or other life-forms out there. I suppose that is exactly why I love Star Trek so much.
