  1. I voted 6 - 10. It was an error... I should have voted 11 - 15 or 16- 20.... I am not sure I remember when the first time I watched Star Trek but my earliest recollection of it was .... there was a certain Policeman who was Captain of the Starship Enterprise. I was very young then.

  2. Won't you just love to see Jadzia, Seven and a couple of other ladies in those miniskirts from TOS? I wonder why they didn't have them on ENT. I bet Hoshi looks hot in them too.

  3. My son is supposed to be studying whales for a book he's illustrating/writing in kindergarten ... we were looking all over the place on the web and on Encarta for information on the "size" of the humpback whale.  Then I remembered Gillian's tour and just knew that she had said how big George and Gracie were .... so my 6-year-old son and I sat down this morning and watched all the whale scenes in The Voyage Home.  He particularly enjoyed Spock in the whale tank.

To my great joy, he questioned me for over a half an hour about Captain Kirk, Spock and Star Trek in general ... now he wants to watch all the movies when he gets home from school today.

Isn't that awesome!  You should always initiate the Trek virgins with ST:IV.  It hooks them every time!

I'm going to do that with my son too. I hope he gets a whale project someday.

  4. I like the TOS Movies 2 - 6 uniforms followed closely by FC uniforms. I especially liked Uhura's uniform. I wish we could see Seven, Jadzia and Ezri in those mini-skirt uniforms. I bet they could also do a great exotic dance in them too. Too bad the "modern" uniforms now don't have the ladies in skirts.

  5. I think Tasha's death was what set Star Trek apart from other show. Her death shows us that even hero's get to die. Not many other shows have the same impact as ST has.

Later when Worf died during a surgical procedure... I thought he died for good and never expected a miracle. I thought it was going to be like Tasha's death. But it was a good thing he had multiple redundant organs.

I suppose with Star Trek... you'll never know who's next to die.

  6. I think I'm the only one to vote "don't care". Data died.

Data is an android, a machine. He's not suppose to age because he's a machine but Mr. Brent Spinner will age. How in the world is he suppose to play Data in Star Trek XX. I think they'll have to kill him sooner or later. At least he died as a hero.

Whether or not he died made no difference in my opinion of Nem. It was a fine action movie and even if he didn't die, it didn't reall matter but I would not mind if he eventually gets to be Admiral someday.

I think I was more upset at Kirk's death than Data's.

  7. It wasn't the greatest of all Trek but I voted great. It could've been greater or even greatest if they took care of some issues such as the Buffy-looking remans... and some other reasons the King gave. It wold have been Greater if they showed the Titan. What i enjoyed was the fights.

  8. A class of new cadets... I agree it sounds like Starfleet 90210. I really don't like watching teenage shows - that includes .... er... better not offend anyone.

Young versions of the TOS people... That would be too close to the teenage shows.

USS Titan. Very good choice and I nearly voted for this one.

CSI: Starfleet. I never bother to watch any of the other CSIs.

Feds vs Borg. Feds already won.

Life inside the Klingon Empire should be aired either on Discovery Channel or National Geographic channel as a short series of ducumentaries. Heck! We chould also have Life inside the Romulan Empire too.... or Life in a Starship etc... great ducumentary ideas.

Temporal Police. Sounds too much like TimeCop. I don't watch police shows too.

I don't like Wesley Crusher. It would be better if its a drama series about Jake Sisko post DS9, how he fulfilled his writing dream and his friend being promoted to be the first Ferengi Captain.

I voted Captain Sulu. No doubt George is old. We could always employ another Asian actor to play Sulu. I'm sure there are a few who might fit the role. I'd be great to see young Tuvok too.

I thought about "Other". Here is one I tought about.... Years after DS9. Nog becomes captain and has his own ship. This would certainly make it interesting. But then, I really think Sulu should have a series.
