What I ment was that the "character" wasn't replaced where as Seven "replaced" Kes on VOY, I didn't mean her post. Sorry about the confussion.Ah, ok no problem CJLP.... my mistake
-
Replacing Denise Crosby on the show, never really mattered to me.She wasn't replaced, just "killed off" by Armus.
Exactly, she just had someone(Worf) take over her post posthumously.

I even have boxes of casettes,8-tracks,and vinyl...I just can't throw them awayme too, when I say that a lot of people look at me strange(maybe that's because I am only 23). True, my mom has most of the vinyl records in the house, but a good deal of them are mine as well(heck, I actually bought a record recently).
When I was little I had about 3 or 4 8-tracks that were mine, and a huge amounts of cassettes. One of my 8tracks was John Denver's "Windsong" album...I now have that on CD.
hmm just a few groups/composers/singers on my list(definately not in order)
1)Toby Keith
2)Alan Jackson
3)Martina McBride
4)Kansas
5)Moody Blues
6)BoA (they sing Anime, or J-Pop music..my favorite is "Every Heart")
7)Beethoven
8)Holst
9)Grieg
10-12)ST: VIII, IX, and X soundtracks
13 - 14)Apollo XIII soundtrack & From Earth To The Moon
15 - 16)Lord of the Dance &Feet of Flames soundtracks
17)Benny Goodman
18)Louis Armstrong
.......................the list goes on and on .. I kinda really really like music(been around music all my life, and am a musician myself).

Gotta vote defense, because in my high school's Juniors vs. Seniors Powder Puff football game...I was a defensive tackle(if we were going to have punting or kicking situations, I was also going to be both punter and kicker...but, the way it is played at our school we did not punt the ball away, nor did we ever kickoff
darn)

I love this song, too. It makes me wish I could play a musical instrument so that I could play it.Hmmm, I wonder if there is sheet music?? It is a beautiful piece of music, though I fear that me and my clarinet could never do it justice.

I thought this guy deserved to be moved. I love having him sing and then belch.ROFL!! Yeah that is pretty funny. B)

Currently mine is a pic I did...OK, I am not too good at drawing even on the computer.
But the girl in green is supposed to be me, the one in profile is Yillara(whose name is my screen name) from my story.
In the past I had a pic of Data that I took from the Nemesis DVD insert and placed his portrait on a star background (my eternal favorite of Trek, and sci-fi in general
), A pic of Yillara by herself, my first avatar was Yillara asleep(my image was refelected, in the full pic she is lying on a floor or floating on water, do not remember offhand which). Yillara Skye Soong is a lot like me, so that is why I have in the past used pics of her that I have done on the computer.
I also had a pic of me when I ran the Olympic Torch for the 2002 Winter Olympics, I ran one leg of the trip(2/10ths of a mile) , right near one of my hometown's landmarks. That was a special day/event in my life.
Another pic of me was when I was competing on the balance beam at the 1994 Ormond Beach Invitational(I won that event
), it also said the years that I was a gymnast (1983-2003). My injury I received at work 4 months ago has left me at least partially disabled, so I had to retire from the sport and coaching. That pic went up around a month after my injury marking the end of an era in my life.
I do not know when I will next change my avatar or what or who it will be.....
I know my sis, EmilSoong has a pic of her on her wedding day standing by her maid of honor(me)

But finding ecstasy in the arms of evil? I can see hours on the Counselor’s couch after that one. (Close your eyes Takara, Yillara and Dsbs, since I know you don’t agree with my feelings about what happened THERE)Oh darn, that was in that story wasnt it?? Got a shock for everyone though...
I actually agree with what you said Data ,almost 100% to be exact. Though reading this statement may have just made a few people cluch their hearts and reach for their heart medications... So maybe they did go a little further than the kiss, I do not want to think it did...but it may have happened
But to bring this back to the original topic(at least temporarily), I do not think I completely miss her. She was a good character, not great. And I much prefer Worf as the head of Security. There are times where she would have been the better person for the situation as Worf let his Klingon tendacies get a bit in the way of his job. But overall I definately would pick Worf over Tasha.

At the time it wouldn't have affected him at all but who knows how the installation of the emotion chip changed Data's perception of his memories. There is no way Data would have forgotten - he wasn't under the influence when she made the comments and he would still have a memory record of the tryst. It was obvious that he had not forgotten from his mentioning the encounter at the hearing in The Measure of a Man.From what I gathered in the hearing, Data had only fond memories of Tasha.
As for the implant of the emotion chip. When it was first activated, it overloaded. Data could not handle the emotions. It is very possible that the incident did affect him at the time of the activation of the emotion chip. By First Contact, Data was able to just turn the chip off. I think Data must have had so many other memories that the Tasha incident was like a blink of the eye.
Exactly, I believe Data had said he experienced something like 172 different emotional states. I am sure his feelings for Tasha were amongst them.
Both Tasha and Data were very fond of each other it seems, and protective as well... if they had not gotten over that It Never Happened incident, would they have been that close?
-
I do not think that Yar's comment really affected Data that much. Since he was under the influence at the time, he probably did not remember much anyway. You know, Data you once again made a great point. Who really does know how that comment affected him?
-
Takara that is ok. Data has forgivin her.He never seemed to be the one to hold grudges. I mean, what she said irked me at the time, and if I am watching the episode I will gett a little PO'd again but still.... What she said to him was highly rude and insensitive, but what was said was over 16 years ago now(either in our time or theirs)...so, I am pretty sure he would have been beyond that by now.And what she said alone cannot guide me in my judgement of her as a person.
Some of us just get over things quickly..and though a few people refuse to believe it, I am one such person(and I am sure Data is such a type of person as well).
And I agree with Data, he would have forgiven her. At sometime before her death I am sure he would have.
As for the poll question, I am uncertain as to whether I missed her being a part of the crew.

Data, of course.
None of the others in the world of Trek will ever hold a candle to him. That guy has had my heart since I was 7.
-
hmmm other than remaining a simple human....
As my favorite  would like to know what it is to be human(Data, of course), I would like to know what it is to be an android. To have that knowledge, to have the strength...that would be great. LOL, Android is one of my nicknames anyways.
-
hmmm, I can read it just fine. pretty sure that it is not just because I am slightly dyslexic either.

Buffalo Over Jacksonville: No brainer.Of course that one is a no brainer, at this point a pile of rocks could beat the Jags.
Unless a miricle happens I only have two favorite teams instead of three now. uuuggghhh, boy I am glad that game was blacked out.

(Sorry, about that folks. I sorta' went off on a tangent, didn't I?)Its ok ensign_
It fully helps everyone understand your screenname choice.
note: :) could not resist that...lol.
-
hmmm my screen name.
Yillara Skye Soong is a character in a story I have been working on since forever. She is the younger sister to Liara. The two are non-corporeal entities(a bit like Q, but different in many ways)...however Yillara chose to live her life as a human.
Yillara is married to Commander Data thus that is why her name is Soong.
She is a lot like me, and that is the reason I chose Yillara_Soong.

If they decide to keep Brunell in the entire game against Buffalo... a preschool class could beat the Jags
...I will be very surprised if they win this week. Very surprised!
Brunell is just not cutting it anymore  and they are letting a pretty good quarterback, albeit a rookie, sit on the sidelines. And if not Byron Leftiwich, then put the third choice in... David Gerard, we saw some good things come from him too.

LOL, I guess you can say Trek appears in nearly all my dreams in one way or another. Data appears in nearly all of them.
(either a picture, my figures of him, TNG is on TV, he's here as my friend, boyfriend, or husband. Or I am in the 24th century as his girlfriend, friend or wife. Cant complain about that. LOL.

Yep, it works great, VBG. I like this setup the best so far.I agree with Data, 100%. I really like this setup! And it loads very quickly.
