Theunicornhunter 2 Posted August 21, 2007 When someone denies their sexually because of social pressures. You can't blame that on society - it's a personal choice to marry someone you don't love. Even if she didn't feel free to be a lesbian twenty years ago but she could have remained single.
Madame Butterfly 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Sometimes when you are young, the need for acceptance from society and those who are supposed to love you unconditionally but don't, makes yout personal life choices not what will make you happy, but what they think will make you happy. After 20 years she was most likely tired of sacrificing herself and decided to do what was real and honest for her. I hope she's happy.
Kor37 9 Posted August 21, 2007 As usual, the instant I get home from vacation, I get swamped! While I was on vacation, 2 of my drivers got themselves arrested and are now in jail until October. In addition, I have three people going on vacation starting this weekend. So now I'm scrambling to find some help. Sheesh..........I need a vacation........... Whatever happened to that elderly man who worked for you and got beat up by his crack head girlfriend and ended up in the hospital? After Bill recovered, I hired him back. He worked for a few weeks and then disappeared off the face of the earth. I have no idea what has become of him but I fear he is no longer among the living. After 20 years she was most likely tired of sacrificing herself and decided to do what was real and honest for her. I hope she's happy. I hope she's happy too. She's a really nice girl. Nobody had any idea that she had those tendencies. She's always been a good wife and a great mother to her kids. I feel sorry for the kids, though. The oldest is entering college this year and she can deal with it. But the two younger boys are having a hard time with it. They don't understand any of it. Gummy 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Once again I've been posting everywhere except in my own log! - I'm still struggling at work trying to cover vacations and such. - Two of my vans went down within the last few days so I spent most of today doing auto repair. - I picked my Dad up from the airport Saturday. He spent the last month in Germany visiting relatives. - My Mom comes home on Wednesday. She's been in Minnesota the last few weeks visiting my sisters. - This is Eric's last week of vacation. Next Wednesday, he and my wife will fly to Maine to to get him settled into his new dorm room........which means that I'll be home alone........which means its time to....PARTY ALL THE TIME, PARTY ALL THE TIME, PARTY ALL THE TIIIME!... - Got a bit of weird news today. Apparently, after 20 years of marriage and 3 kids, my sister-in-law (on my WIFE'S side) has decided to move out and start a new life as a lesbian...... ...How in the world does THAT happen??? It happens. I've heard of this happening all of the time. A guess would be that she finally admitted to herself that this is who she really is and there's no sense in living a Hetro Lifestyle anymore. I've known many women that have done this and, in the long run, they're much happier now than they've ever been.

Kor37 9 Posted August 22, 2007 Another busy day: - Went to court this morning to testify on behalf of my two jailed drivers. Both are expected to be freed sometime today. - Finished doing all my auto repair work on my vans. - Picked up my Mom at the airport after her flight was delayed for 2 hours. - Frantrically tried to catch up on my paperwork that I neglected to do because of everything else. Now I'm just sitting here enjoying a nice frosted mug of National Bohemian beer.

Kor37 9 Posted August 23, 2007 Not as busy today as the last few. After work this morning, I got online and ordered tickets to see "Rain-The Beatles Experience", "Three Dog Night" and "Jethro Tull". I got great seats for each show and I'm psyched!!! The rest of the day will be spent getting caught up on paperwork and doing the payroll for the week. Kor37 9 Posted August 27, 2007 I have finally scheduled the surgery to fix my torn rotator cuff. Its going to be on Thursday, 9/6. 6-8 weeks of physical therapy follows the surgery. My son Eric goes back to Maine to college this Wednesday. My wife is going with him to help him move into his new dorm. He starts school next Tuesday. I hope he continues to do well. Last year he once again made the Dean's list and also received a $2000 scholarship award.

Kor37 9 Posted August 28, 2007 I'm really tired today so I'm not doing much of anything. - Eric and I went to see "Die Hard 4" at the movies yesterday. Then we rented out "Die Hard 3" and we're going to watch it today. - During work last night, I watched the lunar eclipse. Pretty cool! - Got my concert tickets in the mail already. Can't wait to go! - Dropped one of my vans off at the mechanic today. Its got some electrical problems and I don't mess with that.
Vulcan_lover 1 Posted September 5, 2007 Whoa...you've been busy, buddy. Too bad about the shoulder, that's gotta suck. And if Eric is anything like you...start saving your change, cuz' he's gonna lose that scholarship as quick as you lost your dignity. It's great to be back..... Kor37 9 Posted September 5, 2007 Fairly busy today. I have to get caught up on as much as possible because I get my surgery tomorrow and I don't know how I will be after that! - I forgot to mention on an earlier post that I only managed to get one of my jailed drivers out of jail. It turns out that the other one wasn't making his weekly bail payments so the bail bond company couldn't reinstate his bail unless he paid them $6000 up front. He don't have that and I'm sure as hell not giving it to him. He can sit in jail until his trial on Oct. 2. - I have to make sure that I stuff my face today. After midnight tonight, I can't have any food or liquid, not even water! The surgery isn't scheduled until 1:45 pm tomorrow so thats a long wait between meals! - Eric started school yesterday. He seems to like all his classes. I hope he continues to do well. he's gonna lose that scholarship as quick as you lost your dignity. What the heck do you mean by that???... - I got two great cds in the mail today. The first one is "The Travelling Wilburys" box set. Its great and comes with this really cool dvd that the Wilburys put together at the time. The other one is "The Raspberries - Live" . This is an awesome band that has reunited after 30 years and still sound just as great. I realize most of have never heard of them......

Ezri T 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Hope you do well. That is going to hurt ..... take care
Kor37 9 Posted September 7, 2007 I'm back and hurting like hell. I last ate on Wdnesday night at around 10 PM. I was not allowed to eat or drink anything (including water!) after midnight. My surgery was scheduled for 1:45 pm on Thursday. I got to the hospital at around 11:30 am to start the check-in precedure. At 1:00 pm , I was told that a little 4 year old girl had broken her wrist and they wanted to take her before me. I could have been a real Klingon and told them to put her at the back of the line........but OF COURSE I agreed to wait. They finally got to me around 3:00 pm. They knocked me out and the whole thing took about an hour. When I woke up, I was dizzy and nauceous from the anesthesia. I had not eaten or drank anything for 17 hours at that point. They gave me a big cup of ginger ale and a couple of graham crackers. When I drank the ginger ale, my throat really hurt. I was told that was because they had stuck a breathing tube down my throat while I was out. I drank the ginger ale and ate the crackers. About a minute later, I threw it all back up. I threw up about 5 times before getting home. Once I got home, I plopped down on the couch and slept for about 14 hours. This morning, I feel much better as the effects of the anesthesia are finally gone and I can eat and drink normally. The shoulder hurts but not as much as I was led to believe. Every nurse at the hospital told me "You are getting your shoulder operated on? Thats really going to hurt!" They just filled me with confidence...... . Anyway, I'm rambling now because they gave me these wonderful Percocet pills to take... I have to be in this sling for about 2 weeks and then I have to go to about 8-10 weeks of physical therapy to get my arm working again. In the meantime, I have to learn to do everything with one arm. Anyway, thats my report.

Kor37 9 Posted September 9, 2007 Hope your pain subsides and that your rehab goes well. At least you have some good music to listen to while you recover! Who's minding the business while you recover? Feel better soon! When you own your own business, there is no time off so I'm still going to work every day. I've already had enough of the arm sling. I took it off this morning and I'm not putting it back on. I'll just deal with the pain. when it gets real bad, I pop a few of those percocets.

Kor37 9 Posted September 16, 2007 The arm is feeling a lot better. I've got a lot more range of motion in it than I did last week. I have to see the doctor this upcoming Wednesday so that he can outline my physical therapy program. Took the car to cruise night last night. There was a huge turnout with over 300 cars showing up. Had a great time. I'm just now getting ready to take my wife to the Ravens game. We'll see if they can win their first game today.
