Odie 0 Posted June 14, 2007 Kor, sounds like you are falling apart. I hope everything will get better soon. Those type of injuries take a long time to heal. Do you remember about my hip and how long that too heal?

Do you remember about my hip and how long that too heal? I know what you're saying. I had foot surgery almost 2 and a half years ago. It's STILL healing. Kor37 9 Posted June 16, 2007 I've got a few minutes to kill before I pick up the groom and take him to his execution...er....uh....wedding! Last night was the wedding rehearsal. Pretty standard stuff. The rehearsal dinner was pretty nice. We had stuffed chicken, stuffed shells and assorted veggies and desserts........and beer........lots and lots of beer... My arm and foot are still hurting me. I'm just going to suck it up. I'm determined not to limp during the ceremony. I'm gonna load up on Advil just before I leave. Thats about it. I'll report on the wedding later.
Kor37 9 Posted June 17, 2007 The wedding was great! I got the groom to the church in time and I didn't lose the rings! I also did a great Best Man toast at the reception! The food at the reception was really good. Chicken, crab cakes, green beans almondine and rice. The only problem I had was that since it was my wedding anniversary as well, my wife requested the DJ to play the first dance song from our wedding so that we can dance to it. But when he played it, I was getting my picture taken with the rest of the bridal party and I missed it. Then the 2nd time he played it, I was outside trashing the groom's car. So my wife wasn't too happy about that. I got so caught up with everything yesterday that I almost forgot that it was my wedding anniversary. I did send my wife flowers to her work on Friday so I think I'm covered. We did a lot of drinking yesterday as well. Started with champagne for the toast, went onto white wine then switched to beer and finally we did some Capt. Morgan spiced rum shots. We all got pretty toasted. Now that the wedding is out of the way, I have to turn my attention to my wife's surprise birthday party for next Sunday. Thats what I'll be working on for the next few days. Odie 0 Posted June 18, 2007 I am just joking. I can't left 6ft vase, and I do not have any room for it in my second floor apartment. I talk more about doing something than actually doing it.
Kor37 9 Posted June 18, 2007 Today is doctor day. I have an appointment with both the foot doctor as well as an orthopedic doctor for my arm. I wish these guys would just fix the problem instead of just telling me to come back in two weeks....
Gummy 0 Posted June 18, 2007 I am just joking. I can't left 6ft vase, and I do not have any room for it in my second floor apartment. I talk more about doing something than actually doing it. Thank God. :P Today is doctor day. I have an appointment with both the foot doctor as well as an orthopedic doctor for my arm. I wish these guys would just fix the problem instead of just telling me to come back in two weeks.... I know that feeling. I see so many doctors these days that the co-pays alone are killing me financially.
Kor37 9 Posted June 18, 2007 Just got home from all of the doctors. Didn't get any good news at all. The Orthopedic doctor thinks I tore a tendon in my bicep. I have to get an MRI this Wednesday to confirm it. The foot doctor got mad at me because I won't stay off my foot. So now I have to wear this retarded looking boot to take the pressure off my heel. The only good news I got was the arm doctor gave me a prescription for some yummy pain killers...
BakulaBabe 2 Posted June 18, 2007 Sorry to hear about your foot and arm, but hopefully the painkillers work as good as they sound! It seems like some doctors enjoy seing patients as often as possible, even though it doesn't seem neccesary. Maybe they're trying to save up for another new car. Gummy 0 Posted June 18, 2007 I can dig the painkillers. After my surgery, I was doing Viccodin and it was the best time that I had in years. I felt almost bulletproof. But, my common sense kicked in and I weaned myself off after about two weeks. That's all I would have needed. To become a Prescription Junkie.
Kor37 9 Posted June 18, 2007 My day just got worse. A few hours ago, I hear this big roar. I look outside the window to see a tidal wave coming toward my house. One of the panels on our pool broke and the whole thing collapsed sending about 20,000 gallons of water crashing into my house. My basement is now flooded. Can this day get any worse?........sigh........

Odie 0 Posted June 19, 2007 Wow!!! I hope that water does not cause you to much damage.
Kor37 9 Posted June 19, 2007 Well, the water is finally out of my basement. Fortunately, there was very little damage other than some wet boxes and stuff. The pool is trashed though. I already called the insurance company and the pool company. I'm hoping to get some cash from one of them. Wearing this stupid boot on my foot is really uncomfortable but my heel feels a lot better. Hopefully, I won't have to wear this retarded thing for long. Tomorrow, I have to get an MRI done on my arm to see the extent of the damage. In the meantime, I'm still getting things prepared for my wife's surprise birthday party this weekend. The DJ is all set and the restaurant is all ready. Right now I'm preparing a powerpoint slideshow with pictures of my wife so she can be properly embarrassed.......hmmm....here's one with her in a towel.....should I put that one in?...... Gummy 0 Posted June 19, 2007 FINALLY...some GOOD news! My new 50" plasma TV will be arriving on Thursday!!! I can't wait!!! You're going to really enjoy that. I'm looking forward to getting my 47" HDTV. Now, I have to see what the DirecTV people get for the HD/DVR and all of that stuff..... :( I'm glad the damage from the pool water was minimal. Oh, you really should use the towel pic in the slide show. That will be a huge hit.
