Kor37 9 Posted May 14, 2007 Slow day today. Just when I get over one cold, I catch another. This is really strange because I normally never get sick. - I went to the foot doctor today. As I suspected, I have a heel spur in my left foot. The Doc gave me some medicine to see if it will dissolve. If not, he has to cut me. He also gave me a cordozone shot in my heel. It was the most painful thing I've ever been through. I've had those before in my shoulder and elbow and they never hurt. This one was excruciating. First he pulls out a needle about the size of an icepick. Then he jabs the needle right into the most tender area of my heel and moves it around in a circular motion while shooting in the cordozone. The best way I can describe this is if you have a really bad bruise on your leg where it really hurts and then someone comes along and stabs you with a knife right in the center of the bruise and then twists the knife. THATS what if felt like. I almost let out an authentic Chekov scream but I managed to keep it in............ I have to see him again in two weeks. - I went out today to check out this carwash that is for sale. I may want to buy it but we'll see. Thats about it. The rest of the day I just lounged around. Eric spent the day on the couch reading "The Eugenics Wars"
telara 0 Posted May 14, 2007 good books... Ouch... I know what pain is. My 5th week in basic I put a nice fracture in my wrist during combatives. Still gives me trouble to this day. But that sounds a whole hell of alot worse then a250lbs man landing on your wrists :P
Kor37 9 Posted May 15, 2007 Didn't do all that much today: - My foot still hurts from that heel spur. So far , that cordozone shot hasn't done anything. - I took my son Eric to see "Delta Farce", the Larry the Cable Guy movie. It was a typical Larry movie. Really stupid but funny. - I took a look at that car wash that was for sale. It was a real disappointment. They want $875,000 for it. I wouldn't give them half that. - Now I'm just kicking back enjoying the weather and having a beer.

Kor37 9 Posted May 15, 2007 Kor- I'm contemplating an idea for a little while now...Should I start my own personal log? And if so, what should I use as the tag line thingie? Here's some suggestions: - "Tales From The Dark Side" - " College Life In The Fast Lane" - " Don't You Wish You Were Me?" - " Keeping The Sexual Revolution Alive" - " Confessions Of A Frat House Hottie" - " Head Groupie Of The Cult Of Kor" Those are just off the top of my head. Give me time and I can think of some more....... :P Are you sure you want to start a log here? You realize that this is a family forum?....
telara 0 Posted May 16, 2007 lol Kor thats mean.. VL, I think you should start a log!
Vulcan_lover 1 Posted May 16, 2007 Kor, I know it's a family forum, which means I would leave out some of the more exciting parts, but it just seems like everyone these days has a log, and I've been a member here for over 3 years (longer than you) and still don't have one...hmm, I think it might be time soon, as soon as I find a good tag line...Head groupie of the cult of Kor is a good one, but so are the other ones. He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted May 16, 2007 - " Confessions Of A Frat House Hottie" Frat houses are for men. I'm afraid neither Vulcan_Lover or Kor qualify. :P

Kor37 9 Posted May 16, 2007 Ugh......I feel like c.rap today. I can't seem to shake this cold. Tried not to do too much today. - This morning I hired a new driver to fill a vacancy I had. Gonna start training him tonight. - Went to the bank and did some food shopping. Thats about it. Spent the rest of the day laying around feeling miserable. Frat houses are for men. I'm afraid neither Vulcan_Lover or Kor qualify. I didn't say that VL was a member there, Van Roy. I just implied that she spends a lot of time there. Its ok. I don't expect you to get a lot of the jokes.......... Please feel free to email me the exciting parts of your personal log that you can't post on this board. There is no doubt in my mind that they would be excellent reading for my now-lonely nights. Take it from me, Gummy. Some of Vulcan_Lover's adventures would make your head explode....... :P

Kor37 9 Posted May 17, 2007 Feeling just a bit better today. My head is clearer. - That incredibly painful cordozone shot I got into my heel has done absolutely nothing for the pain. This probably means that the Doc will want to operate on it..... :P .....I have to see him again in a week and a half and see what he wants to do. - I'm doing as little as possible today. Tomorrow is my long day and given the way I feel, I'm going to try and rest up as much as I can today. - The new guy I hired actually showed up for his first day of work... .. You wouldn't believe how many people I hire that seem enthusiastic about the job never show up for their first day. Maybe he's a keeper. We'll see. - I got a few more RSVPs this week about my wife's surprise birthday party. Got a total of 55 people already committed to coming.
Gummy 0 Posted May 17, 2007 I know what you're saying about good help being hard to find. There's something about the work ethic in this country today that leaves a great deal to be desired. It seems like nobody wants to work these days. As for your heel, surgery may be your only answer to getting any relief from the pain. If that's what it takes, then get it done ASAP so you won't miss too much time from work. Which leads to my next question. Is your second-on-command able to run your operations while you're recovering?

If that's what it takes, then get it done ASAP so you won't miss too much time from work. Which leads to my next question. Is your second-on-command able to run your operations while you're recovering? Yeah. I have 2 Assistants who can run things if I'm out. Its just that we are getting into vacation season where just about every week, someone is on vacation so my assistants get pretty stretched during that time. I have to talk to the Doc about how long a recovery time he thinks it is and try to schedule it during a week where nobody is on vacation. As for good help, I agree with you. People in this country don't know what work is anymore. My best workers are 1 guy from Nigeria and 2 guys from Hungary. Thats really a sad comment on our once great country. In anticipation on what I feel our future will be like, I recently purchased a Spanish language DVD course.......... :P

Something else will come along. Hang in there. Dude, it was on purpose, I hated that job, and now I can say I've been fired from every dining hall on campus...it was just a stupid minimum wage job, I got a real one back home for when I'm on break. I'm a college kid, I'm used to having no job and being broke.

Kor37 9 Posted May 20, 2007 Pretty busy day yesterday. - After working til noon, I took my car out on a test ride. I took it through all the gears and burned rubber all the way up the street! Tomorrow the front end gets aligned and the mechanical repairs will be finished. The only thing left is for the painter to fix up this stripe he screwed up, put on all the decals and emblems and put the interior back in. then she's finally done! - When I got home, my wife started giving me a hard time about always taking her van when I let one of my drivers use my work van. I decided to fix this problem once and for all. I packed her and my son into the van and we went car shopping for her. I ended up buying her a 2004 Anniversary Edition Mustang. I bet I don't hear squat about the van anymore..... - Had dinner while participating in last nights chat and then it was off to bed.
