1. I use them when I am bored. On the Madden Games, I use the Madden Card Cheats only during Exhibition Games, because in the games that count, it's much more fun to score 200 points fairly and 250 points through the use of a cheat card. I occasionally on MOH:RS will use Cheats if I can't beat a certain level. But I've beat the game now, so I turn on God Mode and All Weapons and just have some good, unadulterated, killing fun.

By the way, in Medal of Honor, Rising Sun: the Bazooka is the most effective weapon for long range, and the Shotgun at close range. With these you can take out a number of enemies. And don't forget your Angry Pineapples (Grenades).

  2. So i just bought Madden 2k6, and hot damn! I love that game. The new features rock, like QB Vision, and the newer Playmaker controls including (this is probably my favorite) The Hitstick! Hitstick has been around on the Playstation for a while, but is new to GameCube, and man, can you rock mugs with it.

With 2K5, EA Sports marketted the "Now you will Fear the D" campaign. They kept the Defense strong, and in fact, makes it more fun to be on Defense. While playing Franchise Mode, I upgraded the Packers' Defense with the addition of 2 key Free Agent Aquisitions (both of these should be in the FA listing) in Tedy Bruschi (MLB) and Ty Law (CB). Now, this uprated Pack D is gaining a reputation for theivery, as the Defense leads the league in Interceptions (My Create-A-Player Rookie (91ovr, 88 Awr, 88 Spd, 87 Awr) has 12, going into week 8 against the Bengals, while Ty Law and Tedy Bruschi each have 7) as well as sacks, and points allowed (0).

If you have the right combination of Offense and Defense, you can have a very successful franchise. Right now, going into week 8, the Packers lead the NFL with a 6-0 Record, having scored over (and I kid you not, I'll take a picture of the screen later to prove it) 650 points, while allowing None to be scored. the Offense, behind Brett Favre and Ahman Green, have scored over 50 Touchdowns in 6 weeks. The Defense, too, has gotten into the action, having scored an additional 22 Touchdowns.

I love the Playbook Creator, which allows you to create custom plays based on existing formations, modify those existing formations, or even create your own formations. My Playbook features some old school Offensive sets (Wishbone and Wing T) as well as some Defensive schemes that might be familiar to anyone who played High School Football (4-4 Stack, 5-2 Monster, 5-3, and a 7-1-3 Goal Line formation).

Probably the coolest game mode though has to be Superstar. This allows you to create an NFL Player, Quite litterally from the genetic level up. you get to choose your own DNA by selecting your own set of parents. For best results with this, choose a father who was either a Pro-Bowler or a Hall Of Famer at the desired possition, which will automatically give your player a rating somewhere in the upper 80's, plus choose parents with average to high IQs, which will increase your awareness. You also get a Mentor, a former NFL Player who will guide you through your career. (It's the same mentor all the time, I won't spoil it for you, though) Once your player is created, you move into an apartment, then meet your mentor, hire an agent, and take an IQ test. The IQ test will help determine your player's awareness, critical to how well your player plays. it also determines how high or low you can go in the draft. once this is completed, It's on to the draft! For the best results once you are in the preseason, do every practice. Try and have an average of 10 Points/Play minimum with your practices, as this will give your player a ratings boost fo sho.

The Agent in Superstar Mode allows you to do a few cool things, but be careful, they can impact your player's personality. You can garauntee a win, release a statement about your next opponent, complain about your coaches, demand a trade, or even retire. If you talk it up too much, though, you can quickly earn a personality of "Disruptive", even if your player is the best at his possition, and is correct with his talking. There is so much to cover with Superstar, you just have to play it to figure it out.

I've played every Madden NFL game since 2K1, and I have to say, 2K6 is the best by far. I give Madden 2K6 5 footballs out of 5. Awesome Game.

  3. I had a V300 and it worked fabulously...until I dropped it with the flip-top open and it snapped off. I replaced it with a Nokia 1615 (I think that's the model number) and I prefered the Motorola. I like Flip Phones, personally. I'd go with the V330, with that one you can use the new BlueTooth Wireless hands free device. Those are frickin' sweet.

By the way, if money is tight, don't go with Nextel as your service: They want a $500 deposit for a $100 phone.

  4. Miles wouldn't be able to command a starship, unless he was given a commission. As a Senior Chief Petty Officer (Probably promoted to Command Master Chief of his present post by now) he wouldn't be eligable. But, I would like to see Geordi in command, and I would love to see more of the Excelsior and of the Titan.

  5. Okay, so I was listening to the radio the other night, and I heard Garth Brooks' Rodeo right after they announced the ChiSox are going to the series. In honor of this, I made a "Parody" of the song. I shortened it up a bit, and it's not all that great, but here are the lyrics. I plan on recording a vocals-only shortly, when I do, I'll post that.

His eyes are cold and restless

    His wounds have almost healed

And she'd give half of Texas

Just to change the way he feels

She knows his love's in Chi-town,

And she knows he's gonna go

Well, it ain't no woman, flesh and blood

It's that damned old Baseball Game

Well, it's The Sox and the Cubs

It's a Beer with your buds

It's the roar of a Sunday crowd

It's the white in his knuckles

    The gold in the glove

He'll win the next go 'round

It's in the Hoots and Claps

    It's Baseball hats

It's gloves 'round a batted ball

It's the fans and the fame

And the joy and the pain

And they call the thing Baseball Game

  6. Lol. By the way, for those who STILL think Daunte Culpepper can get the job done....

Daunte Culpepper has the following stat line... 43 Comp, 469 Yds, 0 TD 8 INT

That is like Joey Harrington style numbers. He's also given away two fumbles.

Brett Favre's stats look like this:59 Comp, 543 Yds, 3TDs, 4 INTs And Brett has given away 1 fumble. And people still think Culpepper is a better QB?

  7. I'm looking for a freebe. Right now, I can't afford to be dishing out money for Web Hosting.

    344111

I don't know of any "good" free hosts but they may be out there. If you can't find one let me know, I know of a host that only charges $5 a monthfor a pretty good hosting package.

    344139

    I'll keep you informed, VBG.

I know you already said you don't like it, but I always use Geocities because im a cheap a55. where I basically just plan everything out on my comp and kinda.. stick it in lmao!

    344216

The thing I don't like about Geocities is that you can't upload MS-Word generated HTM or HTML files. That's what I like about Bravenet. However, with Geocities, you can upload something like 25 files at once...

\Just a web site, BK. the url for the present one is http://embark.to/USSEros. It's hosted on Bravenet right now, but I can't access the hosting manager to fix a few problems and add some new stuff to it.

    344116

I used angelfire for a long time. The ads were overbearing, but no worse then Bravenet.

It has emulated FTP, making it easy to upload. It does not have CHMOD that I know of, but then it’s unlikely you will want to hide anything.

    344313

    I'll give Angelfire a try.

  8. I would like something from  the American Civil War like the Longstreet or Robert E. Lee.

some other names would be Sacrifice, Condor, or the Dunedien

But my ultimate choice would have the be the U.S.S Carthage

    280064

Actually, Captain Ericks, the ship I now command in a sim is named after a battle that Robert E. Lee commanded and won. USS Fredericksburg.

  9. Alright, here's a question for you guys. I am having issues right now with Bravenet, who presently hosts the website used for a Sim I am in. None of us on the Webmaster's Crew (Myself, Krissy[the Chieflyone] and Jim) can get to the Hosting section. when we try to log in, we get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" Error. Can anyone recommend a webhosting service other than Bravenet or Yahoo or Lycos (who I cannot figure out for the life of me)?

  10. if they can get a M/A Rocket working, that would work. to the best of my knowledge, a Matter/Antimatter explosion shouldn't create any residual(Sp?) radiation, and provides both substantially more power and much better fuel efficiency than the present system. this could allow a spacecraft to conduct a rolling take off, a mid-flight burn to orbit, and still have enough fuel to provide additional menuevering power once in space.

  11. Okay, I've recently discovered that while MS Paint is wonderful for elevation views of starships, It totally sucks for trying to make an "In-Flight Picture" of the ship in question. So, maybe someone who actually knows what they are doing could help with this?

I am trying to get an In-flight shot of USS Fredericksburg, my ship in a few sims, but I can't seem to do it. Here is the ship's images.

The nearest thing to it is the Soveriegn class, but I can't find an image of the Soveriegn class that I can rearrange well enough.
