In order my favorites are:
First Contact
The Undiscovered Country
The Wrath of Kahn
The Voyage Home
Nemesis
Insurrection
Generations
The Search for Spock
The Final Frontier
The Motion Picture
The ranking of movies past Nemesis was a matter of splitting hairs. It would be like asking a vegetarian whether they like steak or pork chops better.

You are refering to Catians. They were a feline race first introduced in The Animated Series.

I'm willing to concede some points when I am clearly wrong, but you had better do a damn good job of convincing me of it.
-
Anyway, what are you talking about no NCO's? On DS9 the StarFleet engineering staff is made up completly of NCO's, hence Chief Miles O'Brien...At least until Nog made Ensign, but you notice he didn't take over as department head when he did. O'Brien was still in charge.

What would be the point?

Yes and no, well a little iffy because well odds are it won't happen for a few hundred years so then we may have a way to protect from them. I'm more scared of the alien invasion that is being planned but the infected nava scientists who are trying to have us convinced that there is no life on Mars when actually there is a large race of Martians who want to take over Earth because their water sources are diminishing (Jk)I'm more frightened of those "canadians" I keep hearing about.

It should be no earlier than 9 PM EST to give us West Coasters a chance to get home from work and attend.
-
While I agree that there should be more NCOs around it is probably difficult to write for them. I mean a crusty old Petty Officer watching the enlsted scrub the decks or whatever would be pretty boring for the audience, wouldn't it?

Star Trek has been in production, in some form, since 1987 - and that's not counting the movies. I do think it is time to give the franchise a break and pick it up in, say, 5 years?
-
I think eventually one will, but probably not before lunch.

Wil Wheaton is a talented actor, but his character suffered from bad writing. His best episodes came later when he was allowed to show he wasn't perfect, that he couldn't always save the day.
I took exception to showing him in a Starfleet uniform in Nemesis. He QUIT THE ACADEMY!! What the hell was he doing in uniform with no explanation offered? Not even in the deleted scenes.

I would captain a Vor'Cha Class Attack Cruiser (Klingon)

When is the part where we get to spank her?

I use a personal pic as my avitar. I got it at Star Trek: The Experience in Vegas - and yes, that really is a cigarette in my mouth. The beer cans were dubbed in by someone else.

I chose "realist", but my realism is grounded in the philosophy that if needed changes to something were possible they would have already been enacted. Some would call this pessimistic.

I'm assuming that in the interin between today and TOS or ENT we developed some kind of anti-nuke shield. This technology would surely be incorporated in the shields used on starships. So even if nukes are more powerful than photon or quantum torpedos it would largely be a moot point.

I say yes, he should have.
1) Q is easily the most powerful being in the universe and is potentially a threat. We need to learn as much about them as possible and having Riker be a Q would be good for that (assuming he remained uncorrupted)
2) It would have been good to see Riker learn to use his Q powers and eventually do battle with Q.
Of course Riker could no longer be a regular character, but it would have been interesting.

I'd just use him for Bat'leth practice.

Sadly, maybe the fact that he was such a good actor, that people believed him so strongly as Mr. Spock did prevent him from other receiving other roles. I did think he could act circles around William Shatner who did go on to have another series.2 if you count Iron Chefs USA or whatever it was called.

We never saw the Enterprise-D's Captain's Yacht. One of the magazines did a "Technical Briefing" of it.
