I completely misread one of the questions, but other than that, it was fun to try out trivia again.
Congrats to the winners and other promotees! :P

lol; me too. Thanks, trooper.
Thanks. :P
Of the ones that haven't already been nominated, I'm going to have to narrow down a bit more. There are more than a few worthy of nomination.

Nordic: If you're interested, I'm pretty sure the fate of the Bozeman crew, or at least Captain Bateson, is discussed in a book or book series. <_<

Oh, crud, what was that episode I loathe called? *probes brain* Er . . . *looks for it in encyclopedia* *can't find it* *looks up "Shades of Grey since she can't remember exactly which one that is* *gags upon recognition of episode* Eww, okay, that's my number one. The one I'm looking for is number two. *continues to search* AARGH! I can't find it. Anyway, it was that dang time loop episode. I have seen gobs of time loop episodes in various scifi series, and they all stank big time, with the exception of Stargate's which one of my all-time favorites. Anyway, does anyone know which episode I'm talking about?"Cause And Effect"?
(Enterprise must continually avoid collision with USS Bozeman)

I personally don't mind the new design.
My only small gripe when I first heard of the project was that it seemed to have more emphasis on defiance towards terrorists rather than as a memorial for those who died.
As long as a respectable memorial is created, I'm all for the new tower. (Though I would've preferred modernized twin towers, not just like the old ones).

Seems like someone's still a little bitter that we won... <_<
I'll be going to fireworks shows on the 3rd and 4th with friends and family, plus a get-together with a bunch of other families on the 4th.

It's sad that there were so few friendships on this ship.
I'll vote for Archer/Trip. Their friendship seemed to lessen in season 4, but it was good before that. I actually did like Trip/T'pol's friendship, but that was more like dating instead.

Congrats, Tina! Wish I'd watched Entertainment Tonight now.

Hmm. They're ok, just not one of my favorites. I did love Chiken Run, though (claymation).
Another good question: Does nobody else like The Incredibles?
As for animated series, I like more than a few, but I loved Beast Wars.

Like Acclaim pointed out earlier, it was indeed designed with the Egyptian ankh in mind. Whether it actually looks like that or not is up to interpretation, but the ship definitely has Egyptian design cues to it, imo.
Galor vs Galaxy?
It's generally accepted that it would take 2 Galors to even challenge a Galaxy... or at least the Enterprise-D. I'm going specifically by what's in TNG's "The Wounded" and "The Chase".

I thought Shatner's bit was great and Carrie Fisher was absolutely hilarious.
-
Of the poll choices, I'll go with Vulcans.
Honorable mentions to (in no order):
Andorian
Bajoran
Betazoid
Borg
Hologram
Klingon
Romulan
Shapeshifter
Species 8472
Also, Tamarians ("Darmok"), Tholians, El-Aurians, and a few others.

The radio. Brian Littrell's "In Christ Alone" is on right now.

July the 8th Ace old buddy :)
Thanks man. :)

It's interesting that those two are dating; I honestly wouldn't have pictured them together. I also don't think it'll last very long, but best of luck to them anyway.
^^Hey, what part of Kentucky are you from? I'm originally from Milton which is on the Ohio River about halfway between Louisville and Cincinnati. I now live in Fort Mitchell (near Cincy). For a while, my husband and I lived in Somerset and he taught at Monticello ... that's where we encountered all the General Motors inspired names!
(Central KY, about an hour SW of Lex. I've run across a bunch of those names too; I think it's the whole state. lol.)

Sorry, but I had to bump this topic because "Phantasms" is on Spike right now. It is one of the few TNG episodes that I ... well ... loathe. :)
I didn't really mind "Shades of Grey".
Other eps that I really didn't like were "Emergence" and the one where that ancient library takes over the Enterprise and Data's body.
Edit: That would be "Masks", and I also disliked "Frame of Mind".
Actually, now that I've thought about it, season 7 pretty much sucked other than 4 or 5 decent episodes. :P

The Incredibles and Shrek 2 are quite possibly two of my all-time favorite films. I could watch The Incredibles all day long.
Digital animation, or whatever it's called, is amazing.

I have volunteered many different ways in the past, but it's not something I do regularly. One thing I did enjoy was "RepairAffair", I think. A ton of volunteers spruced up the yards/houses of people who were unable to do it themselves for monetary or physical reasons.

I'm with gul_nodrog on this one. In fact, I was almost tempted to buy one of those "Free Katie" shirts. lol. Tom just seems to be getting creepier by the day.
As for the thread topic, I haven't seen the film, but I doubt she has the ability to carry such an important role. She's a good actress, but she's not strong enough yet, imo.
If I were involved with the film, I would be bittersweet about the "TomKat" publicity. Yes, it's overshadowing the film, but it's also getting Batman Begins in the press a bit more.

Basketball in elementary school. Tried a little soccer in middle school. That's about it.

Like most Southerners, I like a little tea with my sugar.
(We brew it in the coffee-maker, then load it up with sugar and drink it ice cold.)
See you all soon
