Very interesting, but doesn't that plot have alot in common with First Contact?
-
I do like the show, but I've never believed it was as big of a breakout hit as they wanted us to believe. Still, though, 2.0 is pretty darn good for a series low (...for SciFi ...so far...).
As far as I can tell from those numbers, it seems like BSG is somewhat more successful than Atlantis, or at least regularly on-par.

According to Contact Music, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION actor LeVar Burton ('Geordi LaForge') has begged Paramount Pictures execs never to make another new STAR TREK show and allow the franchise to rest in peace.Burton hopes the last series of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE, from 2001, will be the very last.
"STAR TREK coming to an end is long overdue." Burton said "They ran it into the ground and made so much STAR TREK that it ceased to be special. If they bring this back before a decade is out I will get a high-powered weapon and start picking off studio executives."
That really doesn't sound like LeVar Burton. The first part sounds like him but not the high-powered weapon thing.
Agreed :) . Do you trust the source, Gamera?

Mark Harris - "The Line Between the Two"
-
No, I don't think he'd be right for the role.
Yes, he's too identifiable with Hercules. Also, being on Andromeda I feel he has a second-rate-sci-fi stigma to him (even though I liked Andromeda, I'd definitely put it on a lower tier than Trek).
I'm having a brain freeze on Ed Harris; will have to look him up. Quaid might actually work. McDonough has been great in everything I've seen him in (I'm still annoyed that Boomtown was canceled), but I don't think he could carry the captain role as well as some other candidates. :) .
My 2 cents.

Should Trek die? Probably not. Should Trek rest for a good deal of time? Absolutely. The franchise should've been put on hold after Voyager, IMO.
I don't feel betrayed. It's his opinion and I agree to an extent.

I would start defending my beloved Voyager to the two of you, but now is neither the time nor place. :) :)

No one here is truly qualified to answer you on this since only you and she know the situation exactly, but I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic in some cases *shrug*. Long distance relationships do sometimes work, but not for extended periods of time.
Either she meant what she said or she felt neglected. If you told her what you just told us here, about your true feelings and that you realize the mitakes you've made with her, I wonder if the door could be re-opened.
If it were me I'd either tell her how I feel and leave it in her court or just walk away. I have no idea what's best for you, though. Only you can make that determination.
Good luck either way.

Our UPN affiliate sometimes shows reruns of Voyager on Sunday nights. That's the only reason we still pay for UPN.

I think smoking is incredibly unhealthy and not the greatest idea to take up, but I do think people have the right to smoke if they so desire. However, I completely support the public smoking bans. I have the right not to be forced to inhale your smoke.
When it comes to smoking while driving, though, my opinion differs a bit. If you're in your car, I don't know that the government should be able to keep you from smoking. I may not smoke, but I do ocassionally talk on my cell while driving. I've had no difficulties doing so, therefore I don't really support a ban on cell phone use while driving. If I can't support that, then I can't really support the idea for this new smoking law.
I will say I agree with TUH, though. Subjecting young children in the car to smoke while driving is just wrong.

TNG's "The Ensigns of Command." :)

They're not exactly laugh-out-loud funny, but those 3 strips were still pretty good. Looking forward to more of them.

Let's see... I've been to:
DisneyLand - CA
DisneyWorld, et al - FL
King's Island - OH
Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom - KY
Busch Gardens - VA?
Sea World - OH (if it qualifies. We were there before it closed, also near Cedar Point but didn't go)
I'm going back to King's Island this wkend, so I'll have a better idea of my pick then.
For me, it's between King's Island, Busch Gardens and DisneyWorld.
-Oh, and Dollywood, TN. We can't forget good ol' Dollywood. :P

I'm planning to watch it tonight. Just a half hour to go!

Probably one of the Batmans. It's been so long since I've seen them that I can't remember which is which.
If I had seen Big Fish, I have a feeling I would choose it instead.
