  1. the more we talk about it the more im looking forward to it. i just hope they dont come up with some unrealistic, for their time, way of defeating them. i too wonder what is the paradox. we havent seen any evidence of timeline changes in any episodes or movies since FC, or any other kind of problem, we know how the borg got there, and so on. but whatever the case i suppose we'll find out in 6 days. counting the minutes

    :tear:

  2. WELL you just keep looking up to those stars. they are beautiful, and amazing. personally i find nothing quite so beautiful as the things you find in nature. i love to look up on a cool, clear night with a full moon, its just so aw inspiring.

URHURARIKER here here, this was a great question on your part, its interesting to see the replys people are making. keep it up :tear:

  3. im looking forward to it as well, just like i do any epi of ENTERPRISE. but my concern is, 200 yrs from this point we still had a very hard time with the borg, they wiped out a lot of the fleet, and many people, we have such a problem dealing with them, how can NX-01 and her crew being 200 yrs behind, deal with such a drastic problem. now im all for seeing first contacts with aliens we already know, but i think this might, i repeat might be a little to the extreme. but thats my humble opinion. but of course i am looking forward to seeing them hopefully prove me wrong, and make an excellent episode out of it. :tear:

    LIVE LONG, AND PROSPER

  4. Star Trek fans are so unhealthy! I dont like breakfast either!!! But i have started having a bit of toast at my desk in the morning as i think the earlier you start eating in the day, the earlier before bed time you stop eating and so you burn up your food more. Or something like that...

hey i resemble that remark. lol i mean resent that remark :tear: good thinking but if i started early, id just keep eating till i went to bed lol. so i just have a drink in the morning, and not much for lunch, then an ok dinner. usually :D

  5. I'd give it an 8.5 or maybe even 9;

I'm going to take your challenge:

    Click for Spoiler:

if you were raised along with the rest of you planet in a certain way, its not wrong to you. so as outsiders, we need to respect their ways, and customs. who are we to tell others they are wrong, that is arogant, and pigheaded, on tripps part, and ours. as you see in the end, you took the cogenitor out of its place, then it didnt know what to do so it killed itself, thats better than what it was doing, i dont think so. as for archer, i was impressed with the assertive, strong reaction on his part, and i think it was rightly justified. one last thought, would you want an outside race coming to us and telling us what horrible people we are for raising cattle for the sole purpose of killing it to eat it. only example that comes to mind, put in any situation you want.

    Click for Spoiler:

Any situation I want; well, how about Georgia in 1860; you've been raised your whole life to believe certain people were less capable than others; Do you appreciate folks from the North coming in and telling you what horrible people you are.

Is what Trip did any worse than running the underground railroad - which was at the time illegal

    Click for Spoiler:

Archer didn't do a good job of convincing me it was the cogenitor's welfare and not the loss of the relationship with the new species that he was upset about. Oh and that line about the life that will never be - give me a break - a species that aborts its unborn is concerned about a failed attempt at conception

    Click for Spoiler:

there is a difference though with what you said, humans dealing with humans. one can say it is HUMAN RIGHTS. but when refering to another race of beings, not of this planet thats a little different. oh yeah and not everyone goes for abortions, he can still have feeling for the people trying to have a child, then not being able to because of his crew member. that is directly affecting a civilization. there has to be a line there that you dont cross as a representative of your planet, meeting for the first time another race of beings.

  6. now to all you fellow non-morning persons, i feel that whenever i get up, thats morning to me, and thus breakfast time, lol. like right now its 12:06 am, but i think its noon. well not really but you know what im saying, dont you

  7. Click for Spoiler:

yes i agree that tripp did what a lot of us would want to do. but i agree 150% with archer, and t'pol, you are talking about first contact, with a far more advanced race than we are, and its not a sex slave, it is an intrigul part of their reproductive system. if you were raised along with the rest of you planet in a certain way, its not wrong to you. so as outsiders, we need to respect their ways, and customs. who are we to tell others they are wrong, that is arogant, and pigheaded, on tripps part, and ours. as you see in the end, you took the cogenitor out of its place, then it didnt know what to do so it killed itself, thats better than what it was doing, i dont think so. as for archer, i was impressed with the assertive, strong reaction on his part, and i think it was rightly justified. one last thought, would you want an outside race coming to us and telling us what horrible people we are for raising cattle for the sole purpose of killing it to eat it. only example that comes to mind, put in any situation you want. no one likes how the vulcans dictated to us what we should or could do, in making our first starship, and mission. so we shouldnt do it to others

  8. i dont have a spoiler button on mine, is it the romulan theme or do i have another problem? anyway ill make it short so's not to spoil it for some. i give it an 8 out of 10. it was very good, had some good humor, "i've got pictures" love it. and some deep content. but i think tripp acted very condecending, in thinking he was morally superior in this instance. i'll leave it at that.

  9. so as im watching cogenitor, anyon else recognise the alien commander as AMBASADOR G'KAR from BABYLON 5

You talking about the captain of the other ship? He was also Commander Tomalok (sp?) on TNG

yes, the captain of the other ship. so how many people think that the way trip thought about the others customs was very arogant on his part. to sit in judgement of an entirely new species. im sure that other species looking in on us would think many customs of ours are barbaric among other things.
