Kirk and Picard's ships are of course more advanced, more powerful, faster etc.
But the NX-01 is such a great designed ship, sleeky and hey, the loops she can do are great.
Anyway, did someone expect another choice from me????

Like the rest of us I agree with the technical aspects CJLP mentioned. If the show didn't have them Star Trek wouldn't go on. No one would like to see it.
But for me the idea of Star Trek, peaceful exploration, equal rights and chances for everyone, no matter what gender, religion, nationality or species is what counts. Whithout the philosophy Star Trek woud be nothing but a show, a good show, like dozens of others.
Often when I'm reading the newspaper I get a sad about what mankind is doing with our planet, how people treat others or how heads of government everywhere try to put through national interests.
I do hope mankind will be able to develop to the better. Star Trek shows that this may become reality.
And reading you comments touches my heart. It's good to see that the Star Trek philosophy is important to others too

I love seafood too except oysters (slimy little things).
Yesterday evening I cooked pan-fried fish (in the dictionary I didn't find an exact translation for the perch from Victoria lake in Africa)

I do like Chinese food, especially because I visited this fascinating country twice. There is a great differance between the food you get abroad or inside the country. But nevertheless I like the way my fav chinese restaurant cooks for us Germans.
The best food I ever ate was in Hongkong a dish called beggars chicken. This was a chicken baked in clay flavoured with lotus. You couldn't image how wonderful this smelled and tasted. I'll never forget it!!!
Thai food is also one of my fav cuisines. Korean only if Kjong, one of my friends, is cooking herself.
Yeah, I do love Asia and Asian food!!!
If you'll ever get the chance to travel to Asia - do it!!!

This weekend while ironing I watched the old episodes from season 1.
During seeing "Dear doctor" I was wondering why the romance between Phlox and Crewman Cuttler didn't go on. This would have been an interesting plot. I really liked it. And I would have been happy to seen more of it.
What do you think of this developing romance? Did you like it?
Does anyone know / read about why this story line wasn't persuit?

Very good idea this thread, please go on!!!
I was able to see "The extinction" yesterday and I really loved it. I noticed all the things except what was mentioned from T'Pol.
As to me Scott Bakula did a really great job, he was incredible!!!! And I also loved the end. For stories / endings like this that is why I am a Star Trek fan for so long.

A very tight decision. I voted McCoy because I love Bones. But THE DOCTOR from VOY and Phlox are very close.
It's good to see the results are balanced. As to me they are all fine physicians and actors are doing a great job.If a were serious ill I'd be glad having anyone of them around.
