  1. Stardreamer, what do you mean by "new world"?

There was this episode where Janeway and Chakotay decided to stay on a planet because of a disease. Wasn' it called NEW WORLD?

Sorry if my bad memory abandoned me.

Chakotay + 7 of 9 for me came too quick, does not fit and I don't like it !!!!

  2. Folks, here is an e-mail address for Ford Vehicles!

    http://www.fordvehicles.com

They sponsor ENT.  There's a contact us link lower on the page.  Just drop them a brief e-mail thanking them for the decision to sponsor ENT.  that's all you've got to say.  Ford actually hearing from people en masse would make a HUGE difference.

I did it.  It took 30 seconds of my time.  Now there is something you could do after every episode.

I tried this web site but wasn't successful in finding the e-mail adress. Could you help me, Moulin Rouge?

  3. To see earth out from space, maybe from the ISS would be my wish.

Or a beer with Scott Bakula :force:

Hard to decide, in real live both of them would do me no good.

To be in zero gravitity surely I would vomit, I even can't stand to be in a boat. But perhaps I could add gravitity to my wish. But to be honest for being in space I would accept some invconvenience.

And my husband wouldn't be lucky with wish no. 2.

  4. Does anyone like to talk about it's username? I often have no clue what they mean and what is the story behind?

I'm curious and are looking forward to your replies.

Well my name isn't so hard to explain. I love SciFi since I started reading. And I'm a kind of romantic, although my daily live (as a sales manager at a chemical plant)is more earth bound. But space exploring is one of my biggest dreams.

  5. I can't believe we're even having this conversation.

That's exactly the point I asked myself when I first read the title of the thread. First I thought CJLP was just kidding. I really do not mean this as an offence.

But for me as an European female this strict feeling of morality is hard to understand.

Topless women are so common at south European beaches (unfortunately at any age) and I do not know anyone who cares about it. I always thought men are pleased by this view - but now I've learnt there are exceptions.

Since the attitute to what can be shown of the human body in TV changed, I'm afraid CJLP you have to learn to live with it or your screen will be more often dark in the future than now - or you have to watch old movies.

In ENT there are so less scenes with - for you - too much skin (you only found 2 in 2 whole seasons) hopefully you learn to live with it. It would be a pity if you stopped watching it.

I'm curious about your reply to Red Shirt Volonteer. As to me brutality on screen has a much more negative influence on a society than naked female breasts.

  6. All good points, guys. But still I'm not convinced. First to say, I do like "The cage". The story represents to me what's my notion on Startrek.

But... As to me the "big 3" Kirk - Spock - Bones were so strong characters that they were not forgotten, even when the original show was cancelled. As it was said in the movie to 25th ST-anniversary the ongoing support of the fans made TMP possible.

Of course I do not have a crystal ball and I do not know what would have happened. Just I couldn't imaging....
